Every time I come here, I always have a great time. Staff are super friendly, the vibes are always good. The rotating weekly dinner specials are great to keep the menu fresh, but I will say is that the shrimp and grits should be permanently on the menuuuu, perfect menu item that needs 0 alterations
Percy has some of the best food in the city. They also are custom oriented which truly sets them apart. I look for to my next visit to the great restaurant.
Glad to finally eat at Percy. Everything was great. Bloody Mary was not worth it. Pancake was one of the better I've had. Loved the biscuit and gravy. Good flavor and not salty. Overall a great brunch. One of the better in Philadelphia. You should definitely. try it.
Came for brunch and stayed for the happy hour! This place is simple in means of easy ordering. The aesthetic of the place is intimate as it's hip. The service was great! We didn't have a reservation. But there was seating at the bar. Everyone behind the bar was great! I appreciate the hospitality. Then let's get to the food! We did the simple eggs , bacon hash-browns combo. Definitely good!!! And I added the pancake! The pancake stole the show. Worth the extra calories! ... It's a must try! The food was definitely fulfilling! I wish I could've tried their fries! I'll be back. Now I didn't try their French onion soup but it looked amazing.

Initially, we were offered window or bar seating due to how busy the restaurant was, but thanks to a last-minute cancellation, we were fortunate to secure a table. Once seated, service moved efficiently, and our drinks arrived promptly. Unfortunately, the beverages were not the strongest start. The vanilla latte skewed noticeably bitter, lacking the smooth sweetness one expects, while the matcha latte suffered from a grainy texture that distracted from its flavor and finish. The meal quickly redeemed itself with the starters. The disco fries and chips with sour cream and onion dip were undeniable standouts. The dip was creamy and well-balanced, offering a distinct onion flavor without overwhelming the palate. It was indulgent, comforting, and thoughtfully executed -- the kind of dish that keeps you reaching for just one more bite. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken and waffles. Visually, it was a striking plate, topped with pink peppercorn honey that introduced a subtle citrus note. The first bite was promising -- a playful balance of sweet and savory. However, as I continued, the flavor became increasingly overpowering. The pink peppercorn honey dominated the dish and left an unusual aftertaste that ultimately detracted from the overall experience. While inventive in concept, it felt heavy-handed in execution. Thankfully, other entrées restored confidence. The ricotta pancakes were exceptional -- soft, airy, and beautifully complemented by cinnamon butter that melted seamlessly into each bite. The grilled cheese was equally satisfying: simple, comforting, and expertly prepared. Overall, Percy offers a lively atmosphere and several dishes worth returning for. While certain creative choices -- particularly the pink peppercorn honey -- missed the mark for me, the highlights demonstrate clear potential. With a bit more balance, Percy could easily transform a good brunch into a great one.
Really nice classic American style brunch spot in a classy diner setting. The food is decently priced also! If you don't have a reservation, you can wait for a table in their lounge area, which is quite nice!
Wait was a little long. Restaurant has an old school design which was nice, not the everyday. Waffles and chicken was good. We were given the chips and dip (not pictured) as a free appetizer because of the long wait time, appreciate that from the manager. Overrall 9/10 experience.
Cute place with retro diner-like decor. Good menu selections. The server were nice but may be a bit too attentive/frequent while we were trying to have a conversation lol Mushroom toast and potato latkes were pretty good, a bit pricey for the portion, but the taste was good. Lamb hash was really good with potato/sweat potato, charred broccolis, tender lamb shreds and flavorful sauce. Croque Monsieur was hearty and flavorful with different layers and homemade bread, however you have to eat it right away, once it gets a bit cold (under strong AC in 10 mins), it becomes too creamy/heavy with runny yolk, thick mayo and cheese. Babka French toast was really good for share, not overly sweet, with creamy but airy vanilla custard and pecan crunch. The garden salad was too vinegary and salty, we even bit into salt cubes... Duck sausage had a strong gamy taste, definitely too strong to be enjoyable...
Nice addition to Fishtown. Cool vibe and comfortable decor. Not really all that crazy about the food quality, pricing or customer experience . It was not that remarkable as far as breakfast items are concerned. I'd prefer to go to a local run of the mill diner. The servers were accommodating, but looked quite overwhelmed due to the busy brunch crowd. I felt bad for the host. She had to tell those with reservations that their table was not going to be ready for over 15-20, and those without reservations would have to wait over one hour. They need to manage this a lot better. Many tables were not cleaned off in a timely manner which resulted in delays. I was not impressed overall. However, I'm going to give it another try probably at a time when it's not so busy. I will probably come back for drinks and snacks because I like the cozy atmosphere and I feel they have the potential to do better.
I loved the retro aesthetic at Percy it is very charming and well done. The service was very attentive and our water glasses (albeit small) were never empty! We came for brunch and the food was good with the highlight being the pancakes. They do eggs really well here and our chai lattes were delicious. The only miss for me was the pumpkin soup which was very bitter. I would definitely come back and I will be dreaming about the pancakes!
Food was just different and great! Friendly, decor was very nice. Good for large groups. My daughter takes me to new places to check out while in my home city (Philly) some much has changed. I love what has been done at the area of Frankford and Girard.i just love walking on Frankford Ave. the coffee places, every time we go out for coffee it's a new place.
Definitely NOT Phillys "most disappointing new restaurant". I stopped by for dinner not really expecting much from this diner but was totally blown away by the food, interior, and service. To start we ordered the shrimp cocktail which was delicious. Shrimps were large and cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed the cocktail sauce and horseradish combo- very balanced sweet and tangy. For the price I wish there were a few more shrimp but the execution was good enough for me to get it again. For entrees we ordered the friend chicken rueben and crispy barramundi. The Rueben had really crispy bread which held the structural integrity of the sandwich well- didn't get soggy at all even with all the sauce. The side of fries were also very well done. Crispy and seasoned. The barramundi dish stole the show. The fish was crispy and tender. Sliced almonds on top gave a fun texture to each bite. The side of squash complimented the fish with earthy miso butter flavors. And the broccoli and onion added freshness! The barramundi also came with a roll and compound butter. I was very surprised with how delicious this simple side was. This dish is more than sum of its parts. It seems like Percy's took some notes from feedback after its origins opening last year and has made major improvements including price. Overall Percy's was way above what you would expect from your neighborhood diner. I'm looking forward to coming back.
The decor of the restaurant is pretty cute. As a heads up, the menu is pretty small. They only have starters, mains, and the entire back side is alcoholic drinks. They have some non-alcoholic drinks and a few desserts but we had to ask for those separate menus, which is fine. When we went, we ordered the Hokkaido Scallop Crudo. The sourness of the sauce complimented the scallop but the scallop itself was not the freshest. For the main dish, I got to try the Whole Dorade (fish), with bok choy and small potatoes. The fish was good. It was flattened and a little dry, but the sauce added a nice flavor. The small baked potatoes were tasty, but I wish the bok choy was a little less overcooked. For drinks, I got the weekly or special mocktail (mocktail that changes). It ended up being pineapple juice mixed with club soda. I was a little disappointed with the taste, since the bubbles made the drink less refreshing. Overall, the server was great. She was very nice and friendly, and she checked in us frequently. For the food, I would say that it was a 3.5 out of 5 for dinner. The Whole Dorade was a 4/5 though. The restaurant was pretty loud at some point so it was hard to hear. Because of the friendly service though (4.5 out of 5 stars), I would come back to try the brunch.
I've been eyeing Percy Diner for quite some time and I was happy that I had the chance to pop in on a random Tuesday afternoon. Let's just say, this place did not disappoint. The diner is beautifully decorated and I loved the vibe. Our waiter greeted us and asked what we would like to drink. I ordered Bellini. My partner ordered a Bloody Mary. We wanted to try the deviled eggs, so we ordered those as well. Drinks took a bit and so did the deviled eggs, but the wait was worth it. We loved the deviled eggs. There were 3 per order, so I met my partner have the last one (I'm a strategist). For entrees, we went with the Philly Grand Slam (2 eggs your way, bacon or sausage, toast, and breakfast potatoes). I opted to add the ricotta pancake for an extra $8. We chatted until our entrees arrived. I must admit, everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The breakfast potatoes were some of the best I ever had. They were crunchy, spicy and savory. I was soooo happy I got the ricotta pancake. It was fluffy, sweet and perfectly cooked. I didn't share it bc I gave up the last deviled egg. Haha. If you couldn't tell, we loved our Percy Diner experience and can't wait to return to try more food. read more
Food and ambiance were great but service was AWFUL and slow even for drinks and we sat at the bar. I had heard rave reviews about the food which i will agree with was great, but the service is definitely in need of work. Also found interesting they were having a wedding in there later that day and renting out the entire restaurant, wouldn't have thought it was the place for that but understand it for the ambiance. read more

Percy's nails the retro vibe with its decor and keeps it just upscale enough to feel classier than your average diner. That said, dishes were hit or miss. I thought it was a nice experience but not one worth coming back for. My bf and I got the Grand Slam, Ricotta Pancake, and Disco Fries. - The Grand Slam is your standard breakfast platter, and the best thing about it was the toasty home fries (actually crunchy!). - The Disco Fries were disgustingly salty and not like the kind I'm used to from NJ. If you are from NJ like me, don't bother. - The cinnamon butter that comes with the Ricotta Pancakes is the star of the show. I would get at least one. Percy's is about the same price as other bougie diners in the area. Not a long wait. My bf came here on Memorial Day morning and waited about 15 min to be seated as a walk-in. Vibes: immaculate. Food: delicious. Cocktails: fantastic. But what makes this spot stand out is the incredible staff. They are so accommodating and attentive, it really makes the place come alive with a welcoming and charming energy thanks to their hard work. I'd recommend Percy especially for a date with someone special, although it's great for any gathering. The location is also fantastic. But I really can't shout out the staff enough, they make regular ol me feel like a VIP from when I walk in the door until I leave. read more

huge portions ! great flavors. the latke were very crisp! the bread for the breakfast sandwich is made in house, the sandwich is so dense and heavy - the bacon on it is amazing. the ricotta pancakes with cinnamon sugar were to die for. i couldn't even finish 1 and the serving comes with 2. i'm unsure what coffee they use for iced coffee but it was good - not bitter. very cute space. it's bigger than i expected. pricing is on par with the portions. service was great. i'll come back for dinner soon. read more

This was an all around top notch experience. A diner that had a very spacious layout and plenty of cozy optional seating set the tone with plenty of natural light wearing in. You cannot go wrong with any of the dishes, my personal favorite was the biscuits and gravy. Every single one of our place was finished and cleaned off. The drinks were very fresh and I highly recommend trying the homemade oak Ube wine. The staff was very attentive and had good knowledge about the menu as well as parenting options. I was lucky enough to try this while I was traveling, and I may plan a trip back to Philly simply to return. read more

Came here for brunch and had a great experience. Very cool aesthetic, friendly staff, and great food. The highlight of the meal was the sunchoke soup. It was super creamy, delicious, and served in a generous portion. The staff even offered to split it into two bowls for easier sharing, which was a nice touch. I had it with a side of eggs (an interesting combo, I know) and also shared the French toast with the table. The eggs were nice and fluffy. Fluffy eggs are harder to come by than you'd think. The French toast was probably my least favorite, as it felt a bit dry, but the flavors were still good. read more

The place has a retro feel with a nice vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The cocktails are delicious, and the whole atmosphere is very cozy. There's a live DJ and even a fire pit, which adds a really good touch and makes the experience even more enjoyable. I had a great time there with my husband, definitely a spot worth visiting. read more

Drink of Choice: Housemade Honey Wine - Black Currant. This was a very fruity and sweet wine. You could also taste the honey. I would order again. Food: I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom toast (on the left in the photo). The mushrooms were flavorful and the profile mix of those, the Boursin, the black garlic and the chicories worked so well. I would definitely come here just for the mushroom toast. The French toast (on the right in the photo) was just ok. I loved the vanilla anglaise but probably would not order again. A bonus was our server Mave (sp). She was super knowledgeable about the menu and was able describe the menu items in detail to include flavor profile. read more
Per-SAY, PERCY! I didn't taste you before, but the rebrand was probably needed based on reviews. We had a brunch reservation on a weekday. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was initially pretty empty but got a little busy over time. The waitress was patient and they all shared checking in. The decor was pretty cool and I loved the study/work space tucked on the side. The food: We got the deviled eggs to start. Eh, I'm used to a hint of sweetness in my deviled eggs, but overall not too bad. I got the chicken and ricotta waffle. I like the hot honey on the chicken, but not the waffle. Opted for the regular honey, which worked better for me. The chicken was crispy, moist, and flavored! The waffle had a good texture and was otherwise standard in flavor. I also got bacon - it was as expected, and the potatoes. Idk what was on the potatoes besides the peppers and onions, but they seemed more boiled than pan fried, which I was not the biggest fan of from a taste or texture perspective, but they were seasoned. My friend got the ricotta pancake - which was delicious! And the Philly grand slam, which she enjoyed (though it is standard breakfast food). *I'd definitely come back to try more food. read more
This place was voted Philly's most disappointing new restaurant by the Inquirer. When I was invited to a party, I had to check this out for myself. The place is right next to the El. You can basically hear the train coming up and down the track from the bar. The place is really big. They have a main bar, seated area in another room, there was also another room that had a DJ booth and cozy/home looking seating. The bathrooms were single stalls with this funky tile I really liked. The whole place is well decorated. It was pretty easy for me to get a drink at this place even with a lot of people at this private party. The aperitivo spritz na was a very big pour. I really thought it was well done. I also got Apple cider high ball that was decent. While I was pleased with the drinks, I was less pleased about the food situation. It was a private party but they should have been better about handing food out. I had a Caesar salad which was pretty basic, some fries which were underwhelming, and a part of a bologna sandwich. The dessert was a small cream puff. Honestly, Costco makes a better cream puff. Granted, I didn't try this place for brunch which seems to have great ratings on here but I was definitely disappointed by their private event experience. read more

Percy is so cool inside. The decor is retro but giving upscale diner vibes. I was torn between the Spanish omelette and the Percy cheeseburger ( I went with the burger). The cheeseburger was10/10. Our server/waitress was phenomenal and had knowledge of the menu. It was hard to find parking but the experience at Percy was worth circling the blocks three times. read more

I enjoyed my experience at Percy and I will likely be back especially for that pancake (8/10). Really cool decor that makes this place unique. The food took a long time to come out which was surprising because there weren't that many ppl there. Not sure what was going on but I had to take a star away for that. Worth trying! read more
Percy's is a really cool brunch spot in fishtown with upon entering has a great diner feel to the spot. They also are open for dinner and have a great spot for live music in the evening. We sat at the bar and the service was great and friendly. They have a great menu and serve elevated food and drinks. The French toast was delicious and is a great item to share with somebody. Their breakfast sandwich is filling and delicious. The prices are reasonable here and you get quite a bit of food with your order. A great spot to grab breakfast in fishtown. read more

So it's early days for this place and I have high hopes. Today my friend and I grabbed brunch. Tons of attention was paid to the aesthetic. Great energy in this place. The bar is gorgeous. The staff were welcoming and eager. Our water glasses kept full. Our server was clearly inexperienced but sweet. The menu is small and creative. Many things sounded interesting. I got the ricotta pancakes. They were plate sized and had sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on top with a cinnamon butter and a small two tablespoon sized thing of syrup. The pancakes were good. But for $20 for two pancakes I expected to be blown away. The 3 pieces of bacon for $5 was crisp and delicious. My friend got the babka French toast. It was lovely on the plate. The sauce it came with was great. It had a crunch from the pecans but the flavor didn't really shine. The babka was good but the edges were a bit dry in places and dark. My friend also got the duck sausage. He said it was good. They only had apple and orange juice. Meh. Idk. I like the vibe. I'll check it out nice dinner is an option. Went here to check out their brunch yesterday. The first thing u notice is how nice it looks inside. It gives like a modern diner vibe. I ordered the Ricotta Pancakes that have gone viral and I must say 10/10 and Duck Sausage on the side which was my first time ever trying and they were good as well. My girlfriend and I decided to step out of our comfort zone and try Percy for brunch today, 09/14. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. The host was extremely rude and dismissive, telling us they were no longer accepting reservations or walk-ins, without any courtesy or effort to make the situation better. It wasn't just a "no," it was the way it was delivered that left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. I rarely leave negative reviews, but customer experience is something I value deeply. A place can have good food, but if the staff makes guests feel like they don't matter, it ruins the entire visit. Hopefully management addresses this, but until then, I would recommend others consider different options where hospitality is taken seriously. read more

Glad to see another great place in Fishtown. Love the ambiance great for date nights and it is family friendly too. The food was very delicious. And had their espresso martini which was great followed by crab croquettes, devil eggs, and carrots for appetizers. The beet sauce/dressing for the carrots was outstanding and loved the crab croquettes too. For mains had their dorado fish (must try) so good and half chicken - it was good but I have tried better it wasn't very tender, a little chewy but still overall it was good. Ended the meal with Beignets that was nice and warm. Overall amazing food , great service and lovely location. The staff was very attentive and manager too personally came and checked a few times on us. Will certainly come back to try their brunch menu that looks really good. read more
The atmosphere and staff are enough of a reason to come here. We sat at the bar and Matt was our waiter and he was insanely helpful. He made recommendations, checked on us the perfect amount, made an effort to remember our names. Just all around top notch service. The atmosphere is a sheik 70s diner with amazing drinks and a swanky music lounge. But the real show stopper is the food. We had a series of apps for dinner and I cannot wait to go back for more. read more
