They served me a pizza that brought me to tears it was so good. We started with the crispy octopus and tuna crudo. Both were dishes we know but done just uniquely enough that we wanted more and more. Next we got the sweet jawn pizza. Admittedly this was for my husband. I don't care about pizza that much. It was so good, I genuinely started crying. Next we had the corn cavatalli which was so elevated and delish. As for drinks we had a bottle of prosecco that was delish then for dessert we had the beautiful tiramisu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was good but the atmosphere is sleek and sexy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
I celebrated my engagement at Wm Mulherin's Sons with a few close friends yesterday. The reservation was for 1:30 PM and once everyone in the party arrived, we were seated at a table in the back of their main dining room. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a classy, old-school feel to it and is extremely cozy. I loved that it was quite lively, yet it wasn't loud. We were all able to have a conversation without yelling.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was a sweetie, bringing water to the table and being very prompt with taking our orders. It was easy since we all decided to get pizzas. We shared the Bubbly Brunch, consisting of one bottle of champagne and a small pitcher of orange juice for the table. This was priced at $68 and gave 5 people two servings each. The pizza was outstanding. The crust was cooked beautifully and there was enough flavor with the mushrooms and caramelized onions. I usually find myself adding Parmesan cheese or garlic powder to my pizza, but it was not needed here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The hotel next door looks adorable, too. The pumpkins scattered all around the front made it feel festive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] While the brunch items were great, I want to return to try their dinner menu!
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an amazing atmosphere - it was so lively and energetic inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was a bit slow, but honestly the place was super busy as I went on a Friday night. The food was AMAZING! Definitely get the carbonara and the gnocchi, and don't miss out on the foccacia either. Also... be prepared to look for parking for a while (if you're driving). The lot is pretty small and was full by the time I got there.
Charming rustic and cozy Italian restaurant. I loved the coziness and warmness of the atmosphere. There was a fire place in the main dining area and twinkly Christmas lights decorating inside. My group of 4 stopped by for dinner. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The restaurant was completely packed on a Saturday night. We ordered two cocktails and 3 appetizers to start. Cocktails: 1. crimson and clover was very good. Not too sweet and I enjoyed the pomegranate & ginger beer combo. 2. Martini was citrusy and strong! Not my cup of tea Focaccia: very fluffy and soft on the inside. Crispy on the outside. The ricotta olive oil dip was pleasant. Nothing special about this dish but it was a good sharing app Wood fired beets: so good. Even if you don't like beets, you'll like these. Beets were sweet and topped with ricotta and pistachio. Very delicious. Grilled calamari: also very good. Charred, tender, and full of flavor. For entrees, we ordered the tortellini di zucca, apple pie pizza, and spicy jawn pizza. Tortellini: smaller than I was expecting but very tasty. Creamy, nutty, and not too heavy. Apple pie pizza: seems like this pie is seasonal. Apples, ham, and brussels sprouts with a white sauce. If you're a fan of Hawaiian pizza, this might be up your alley. The apple and ham combo was nice but this isn't necessarily something I'd get again. Spicy jawn pizza: this pizza was very meaty and had a nice spice to it! Overall every dish was good and I'd come back.
Another restaurant added to my solid list! Only ding was the pasta was still a smidge too firm. Otherwise, loved it! They are located in an area with a bunch of cool restaurants, loved the warmth as we walked by the fireplace. It's simultaneously spacious and cozy. Our waitress was very nice and efficient. We had the funghi (mushroom) pizza, octopus and rigatoni. The pizza was earthy with a slight tang from the drizzle on top. Perfectly Charred without being burnt so so good-we are looking forward to trying the "spicy jawn" next time. The pasta was a bit firm as mentioned, but the sauce was a little creamy but bright and pretty delicious. The octopus was excellent. Just the right chew with a brightness from the bean, lemon, pesto sauce. Delicious!

After hearing all the great reviews for this place form Yelp elite friends I know we had to try it :) I started off with this signature cocktail for the weekend. I forgot the name but it was very gin forward. Pricey but worth it! For appetizer we got the burrata. It came with this thin crispy cracker like bread. That was divine with the mushrooms and balsamic vinegar. I wish we had more of everything since it was so yummy! For entrees I went with the spaghetti + lobster. The pasta was cooked al dente with a light and savory tomato based sauce. Lobster chunks were sweet and flavorful. Really enjoyed this bowl of pasta. My husband got the mushroom pizza which he really enjoyed as well. For dessert we had to try the tiramisu. Its the best I've had in the city so far. I would come back just for the tiramisu and some coffee! This tiramisu comes in a glass bowl and is more of a mousse like texture. You would really taste the expresso soaked lady fingers. Very very good. Our waitress was so kind and the atmosphere was cozy. Love the decor and the fireplace :) I would def. Come back to try more things! Their brunch menu looks very good as well :)
I enjoyed my visit and dining experience here this past weekend. Food was really tasty. The chef was able to accommodate specific food request due to allergy/food preferences. The service was okay. Our waitress did everything asked of her and was able to answer some of our questions. I just thought the food options were limited for brunch. Heavy on the breakfast and not the lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the bathroom was pretty nasty for early in the day and wrecked of urine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]For the place to be so beautiful and the food so good those bathrooms smell and felt more like an airport bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Wm Mulherins Sons is a great Italian eatery in fishtown offering Italian eatery and pizzas. An upscale eatery we sat at the bar got excellent service. We got their steak and pasta. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare temperature and the pasta was delicious. It is an all encompassing restaurant offering a more causal vibe or a nice date night out. Food was delicious and service was great definitely a place I will be going back to.
Fantastic food, interior decor and service. I've enjoyed all of my visits to WM's, and love that they have seasonal options. Most recently, I came with three friends and we split several dishes rather than all ordering our own. Two starters, two pizzas and two pastas was plenty for the four of us. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that recently, I asked to modify a cocktail (just to switch the base alcohol) and was told that would not be possible as the cocktail was already "batched". This seems to be a trend lately at local spots and it's a huge disappointment especially when they have full bars and presumably all of the ingredients. I think it's also a shame when the cocktail prices are so high (average of $15/drink) that they are not being made to order. I ended up adding liquor to one of the mocktails instead, which they were willing to do. Otherwise, WM's is a favorite and I'll definitely be back!
This restaurant was so cute and so delicious. I honestly would recommend it to anyone in the philly area looking for a good date night meal or just a fun night out. There is an outdoor patio section with benches and heaters that is so well decorated for good vibes with friends. For food, I tried the crispy octopus as a starter, the Rigatoni alla Norcina, the Pappardelle, and enjoyed a Masque of the Red Death cocktail. - Crispy octopus- delicious 10/10. The octopus was cooked so well it genuinely melted in your mouth. The sauce was lemony and herbacious, it was so good. I would come back just for this. - Of the two pastas, I think I liked the Pappardelle better. Both pastas were cooked to perfect al dente. The Rigatoni was a much bigger portion with more meat, but it was a bit too over salted. - Masque of the Red Death- delicious cocktail. Really good if you like hibiscus/fruity drinks. Our server was extremely nice and gave us many good recommendations. The food did come out a bit slow though. But overall, I can't wait to be back.
Made it in here finally after a long day of moving boxes around and wasn't disappointed. The atmosphere was lively as several grad dinners were booked out for the evening. Our waiter was a bit behind but one of the floor managers came over to get us started with drinks and water. We put all the food in at once and was really full by the end of it. For three people we had the Sweet Jawn pizza and Beet Salad to share as appetizers. Then each ordered a pasta dish, the spaghetti, angelotti and gnocchi. Amazing. So perfect. Handmade on site and worth the visit alone. Then wrapped it up by splitting the tiramisu and two scoops of pistachio gelato. Maybe the best gelato since I was in Italy three years ago. A very great experience, and hope to go back to try other entrees soon.
Came here today for Mother's Day and this restaurant never disappoints! Great Pizza and great apps! We started with the Focaccia with whipped ricotta (8.5/10) soooo good! It's a must order. We also got the octopus which was pretty good too 7/10. My wife and I shared 2 pizzas (Sweet Jawn & Spicy Jawn) both were really good but the Spicy Jawn was a bit better. Spicy Jawn 8.5/10 and Sweet Jawn 7.5/10. For dessert I got the Olive Oil Cake which was pretty good 7/10 and My Mom, Sister, and Wife got the Strawberry Sorbet 8/10. Can't wait to go back!

Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday just off the whim. We weren't expecting much but it turned out a lot better than we thought! Everything here is family style so make sure you order multiple plates. My only gripe about this place was that the plates are really small even for family style and kind of pricey so you end up ordering more. Appetizers - Crispy octopus and foccacia. So good! I'm not a huge fan of octopus but it literally just tasted like calamari with some puree on the side that tasted so good. Main dishes - Margherita pizza... my fav thing that we ate here. So much flavor and yet still so crunchy. For pastas we ordered the fustilli which was like a bowtie pasta with tomato sauce and basil. We also ordered the carbonara which was cooked suuuper al dente and was tasty; it was on the saltier side. As for the mains - flat iron steak and branzino. My siblings were literally fighting over the last bites on the steak and branzino lol. Dessert - Since it was my sister's birthday we got to try the tiramisu which was deliciously rich and creamy. TL;DR weird vibes + overpriced Came by on Saturday and took the only reservation that worked with our early train departure - 4pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seemed that we were the only patrons and felt like we'd interrupted the staff's break time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the decor is gorgeous, the energy definitely didn't feel warm, welcoming, or like a place we'd want to return.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pasta was fresh, cheese was plentiful, and the rabbit was shredded like chicken. My partner felt there should have been more meat but I enjoyed it. For two cocktails and one pasta (rabbit) it cost us $87. OK cocktails paired with good pasta. All in all, not worth the price point for the experience of feeling like you're an inconvenience. read more

Walked in without a reservation (shortly after opening at 11am) and sat at the bar with no issues. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The high ceilings and large windows lit up the space great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted by the bar staff who was great and helpful at giving suggestions for the menu. Started with (not pictured-- Bloody Mary and Don Giorgio drinks which were tasty for a slight hair of the dog) bomboloni which were delicious but with the rich flavor of the chocolate sauce, I'd rather have saved it for dessert. Also you get 4 and they're (IMO) too big for 2 people to share (but great for a larger group) because I was starting to get full. Entrees were the Eggs in Purgatory (perhaps an Italian shakshuka) which we ordered because the people next to us ordered it and it looked delicious--and glad we did. The dish was so flavorful and we left no crumbs. We also ordered the sweet Jawn pizza which also left us members of the clean plate club. The hot honey was just subtle enough but provided an extra level of flavor you didn't realize you needed. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying their dinner menu!! 5/5 stars! read more

Came here today for Mother's Day and this restaurant never disappoints! Great Pizza and great apps! We started with the Focaccia with whipped ricotta (8.5/10) soooo good! It's a must order. We sat at the bar and had cocktails, which were expertly crafted and delicious. We had no food as we'd just had dinner elsewhere, but people were dining around us, and the food looked fantastic. It is a great date night spot or a place to have dinner with business colleagues. It's got a vibrant bar scene and is dark, so be sure to have your phone flashlight ready if you're old like me. Oh, and if you like craft cocktails, such as Whiskey Sours made with real egg whites, this is your kind of place! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was nice and the ambiance was cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat inside near the wood fire pizza oven.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the Jawn Pizza and Flank Steak. I asked for my steak to be medium but it came out medium rare. For $44 I expected the steak to taste better. The Jawn Pizza was decent, had a hint of sweetness to it that we didn't like. Our appetizer was the focaccia bread which was the best thing we ordered. The bread saved the dinner. I think the restaurant was beautiful but for the prices, the food was pretty average. read more

One of the best culinary experiences in Philadelphia. You can't beat the vibe and ambiance. It's pairs so perfectly with the City of Brotherly Love. Our waitress was super nice and warm making our first dinner experience feel welcoming. We treated ourselves to quite a few dishes. Pizzas are fantastic along with their pastas and salads. Ok, please don't judge me. My favorite dish was their gem salad. Not sure what dressing was on there but the beautiful greens paired perfectly with it. read more
I've visited Wm Mulherins on three occasions and each time I find myself getting lost in the abundant flavor of their offerings and completely forgetting to post a review. It's a testament to their ambiance, service, and well-appointed meals ENVIRONMENT There are three distint dining areas and I've had the pleasure of seating in two of them. One of the dining areas is seated next to a fireplace. A second offers premium people watching of Frankford Ave beside the bar. On each visit, the service I've received has been top-notch with all of the servers being prompt and courteous. FOOD Despite having a littany of dishes that left me humming to myself in delight, the standout is the foccacia. It's a simple bread accompanied by ricotta cheese yet it's moist,flavorful,and light.On more than one occasion I've also enjoyed the calamari and Sawzeech pizza(another standout-see attached image). If your having trouble choosing between a variety of offerings in Fishtown and your budget is tight along with needing a quick reservation, Mulherrins is the right choice. read more
Finally got here last night. My wife and I grabbed the last two open seats at the bar. The bartenders were awesome (shot out to Derrick) as were the vibes, music (90s hip hop/R&B), cocktails and food. My wife ordered the Light As A Feather cocktail and I got some old fashioneds. Some of the best cocktails we've had in the city. Loved the stamped cube in my old fashioned. For food we ordered the octopus, prosciutto di parma, and skirt steak. Everything was amazing. The octopus was fried instead of grilled, which was unique and actually delicious. It was served over chimichurri and a veggie/starch puree, and those were delicious. The prosciutto was so fresh and delicious. It was served with unpowdered zeppolis, which worked really well. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides of mushrooms and onions were amazing. Everything really hit the spot. It was a bit pricey but definitely worth it. The portions were decent. The place is beautiful. It is darkly dimmed, perfect for a date night. The bartenders were personable and funny. And they made amazing drinks. The bar is small so you'll need a bit of luck to catch some seats on Friday or Saturday. I will definitely be back. read more

We were wandering Fishtown, looking for a nice place to eat. Exterior was quant so we decided to check out the menu. I wanted pasta so we asked for a seat. Food: 4/5 We started with yellowtail crudo, which was small, but light and refreshing. We order the Paccheri Neri and Agnoloitte for entrées. I really enjoyed both dishes. However, I enjoyed the Agnoloitte the most since it was creamy and savory. Candidly, these plates are not big, very gourmet vibes. The total damage was around $100 (before tip). Service:5/5 The service here was amazing! Our server was great at providing us with suggestions and explaining the dishes. He checked on us regularly and even removed a drink I didn't like from my check. My grandparent's would love this place. All in all, this is a once or twice a year restaurant visit, due to the price. Went here with some friends and had an amazing dinner. Stars of the show were the spicy jawn pizza, rigatoni, and the focaccia. If you do anything get the focaccia, the ricotta spread on the side adds the perfect pairing of creamy and savory flavors. If I could recommend anything it would be to skip the pappardelle ragu and be aware that alcoholic beverages are extremely pricey. Group of 4, ate in the garden area of the restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely ambiance (thankfully with perfect weather)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], the double margarita pizza was delicious (but was a bit confused as to what made it "double" by the look of it, seemed very standard in size/topping amount), espresso martini was good, had a glass of their rosé which was good too. 3 different entrees ordered on the table, Tagliatelle was fantastic, 2 people loved their gnocchi and thought it was the best entree on the table, and other loved the ricotta ravioli. We walked in on a random Saturday (8:30ish). And to our surprise we're seated right away. Our waiter (Jason) was so attentive and knowledgeable. His wine and cocktail recommendations were top notch. We ended up getting a few small plates and pizza and it was perfect for two people. It was such a great date night and cannot recommend it enough. read more

Went here with my parents and everything was excellent! [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat inside and had a great view of their kitchen area with the oven, the smell and sight everything being made right there made us hungry.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was very quick and we got amazing recommendations from our server Anthony, who was very attentive and friendly. We split 3 entrees that were all recommended by our server: the Agnolotti dal Plin, the Gnocchi Sardi, and the Peach Pie. Everything was delicious! They came out as they were ready and it kept getting better with each dish. For dessert we got the Tiramisu and the Torta Sbrisolona and both were great as well. Love the ambiance here! I like sitting near the fireplace. The pizza is decent but nothing special. My NA drink was pretty tasty but super overpriced compared to most NA offerings at other bars. Cozy place to dip into in the winter but I might skip in the summer/spring as the vibe is better for escaping the cold and warming up by the fire. read more

The food and service was excellent! We started with the Crispy Octopus, Burrata, and Focaccia. The octopus was so delicious. It was fried to perfection, and so uniquely cooked. I have never had octopus cooked like this before. Definitely my favorite plate of the meal. For pizza, we ordered the Spicy Jawn and the Al Funghi which were so cheesy and flavorful. We also each ordered a pasta. I had the Carbonara. The guanciale was so crispy and delicious. My friends each had the Spaghetti and the Sheep's Milk Ricotta Ravioli and they both enjoyed them. read more
Came here with a reservation on a Saturday evening with a large party and we were seated quite quickly. The service was pretty good with the attentiveness and efficiency - I think I expected more though given the ambiance and overall vibe of the restaurant, but at the end of the day they weren't overbearing so it was pleasant overall. The menu had a good mix of dishes, however things were overly expensive I think for the quality and portion sizes. The food itself though was pretty delicious - I enjoyed the calamari, bread, and pizzas. Everything though was a bit small and I was definitely hungry afterwards. Overall, I probably wouldn't return to this spot, but I'm glad I tried it. The food was tasty, the price just didn't justify anything in my opinion. read more
