Small town restuarant! Good food and hometown feel. The service was great. Prices were reasonable.

Came for lunch last week to try something different. First off, it is really echoey in here, or maybe the people across from us were just really loud. They were two older gentleman and possibly could have hearing issues and tended to speak loudly to hear each other, but we were able to follow their entire conversation during their meal. The food was really good. I had a smashburger and fries with cheese sauce on the side. Our waitress was very attentive and checked on us often. Will definitely have to come back. read more

Been here a couple times but first time reviewing. This place never disappoints, such good food every time. The cheese balls are always a must have, melt in your mouth delicious. I got the Cajun burger this time. I typically don't order things like this but it sounded so good I just had to try it, and wow I was blown away. The burger was so good, the chipotle mayo was amazing. It wasn't as hot (spicy) as I was expecting so that was a relief. Service is always great here, never wait too long and always topping off drinks. We love the local photos and decorations in the restaurant. I always ask myself at the end of my reviews if I will be back, but I'm not gonna ask me this time. I definitely will be back. read more

Went to lunch with dad & stepmom, looking for someplace new. Wow, what a great place! Excellent service, and food was wonderful. Catfish filets/fries were great, as was the taco salad. There was a bit too much bread with the Reuben, as it was a double decker. Meat was a tad dry as well. Dad had a cup of chili as a soda, which he thought was a bit too salty. I however, thought it was just right. Taco salad was very good, also. Oh, and you have to get the footballs/potato croquettes! They were so good, as was the cheese sauce they were served with!! Excellent food. No matter what time we go, it's gets filled up quickly. Kitchen service can be a little slow. I've been there twice, and my bf's work group goes there often. I've had the sunrise burger and chicken fingers, both were good. The chicken fingers were meaty. When I was with bf, he had the twisted Ruben and grilled marinated chicken sandwich. Frequent stop of mine and love the food and the service. I stopped in Friday night with my wife and had the bluegill special and it was fantastic. Perfectly seasoned and breaded crispy and more than enough to make this big eater full. Paired with the sweet potato fries and salad was a delicious meal. Their appetizers are also great and would strongly recommend the buffalo chicken won tons which is a never miss for me when I'm ordering. Great bar as well with a nice selection of draught beer and whiskeys. read more

We were in Morton and saw this place on Yelp and decided to give a try. I started out with a bowl of Hamburger Soup and my guest had a bowl of chili. Both were very good. We decided to give Perdue's a try and showed up starving. We live in North Morton and the restaurant is 10 miles from our house- closer than a trip to Peoria. We chose Perdue's because of the reviews on Yelp, and the reviews are right- Perdue's has EXCELLENT FOOD and a large variety on the menu. I ordered the pulled pork horseshoe, my husband had the taco salad, and our son had the kids' cheeseburger. All were soooooooooooooooooooooooooo good and hit the spot! Perdue's Grill is a modest-sized bar that serves some really, really good bar food. We started off the meal with smothered fries; crispy french fries served on top of a white cheddar roux sauce and drizzled with more shredded cheddar and bacon. While a tad salty, these were still quite great fries, and infinitely better than the generic yellow cheese that tends to come with cheese fries. The wife and mother-in-law (and toddler) shared a Hawaiian pizza. The crust of the pizza was super thin yet still had a good dough-y flavor, and I noted the pleasant sharpness of the cheese blend. With the pizza and wings 1/2-off special, I decided to grab 12 wings and split between two flavors: sweet chili wings, and BBQ chipotle wings. Happily, the wings were excellently cooked to start with: deliciously moist on the inside, with thin and crispy skin on the outside. Both sauces were excellent and pleasantly balanced. The BBQ chipotle was not too spicy, and neither was the sweet chili. Basically, these wings would beat out all but one of the places I've had in Chicago, which is saying something. And with the meal costing less than $30 for all four of us, it was a bargain to beat. I look forward to trying the burgers here the next time I'm in town! read more

Great neighborhood restaurant in Tremont. Worth the drive, if you're a little further away. The food is great pub style food. Great burgers, they get their meat from a local butcher. Great quesadillas. Good selection of beers, tap and bottle. Great happy hour discounts. They have best homemade onion rings around. Definitely worth checking this place out. Friendly staff, good drink selection, clean and decent decor, and pretty good grub! I had the black and blue burger which admittedly was a bit dry. But the seasoning was good, bun was great and the blue cheese on point. The fries were the real winner of my meal- really crispy! My husband got a cheese pizza, made in house. They do thin crust and I must say the sauce was good- sweet which is how I like it- and the amount of cheese was perfect. We each has a beer- they had an IPA on tap that I had never heard of, which I love in a local spot, and it was hoppy and refreshing. We plan to make the half hour drive again soon with some friends to sample more food read more

Asked waitstaff before ordering walleye special if it was, in fact, walleye. I was told yes it was. The overfried fish came out. It was translucent, not mild white and flaky like real walleye. We believe it was Swai, an Asian catfish. It was a terrible meal. Our waitress also was very rude when asked a question about the desserts. We haven't been here for awhile and won't be going back. Spoke to a regular who had also gone the same evening and ordered walleye special. He sent it back when he saw it and told them to take it off the bill. He didn't eat that evening. read more

This was a dinner with my parents to celebrate New Year's Eve. It was 8 miles from my house and I must admit I have not been to Tremont to eat, ever. Boy, I had no idea what I was missing. Perdue's was really excellent. The building is an older building in a small, Midwestern town, on the corner of a street in the middle of town. When you walk in, there are some tables and the bar, then the main eating area is further into the building. It is older and wonderful, well maintained and easy to love in a lot of ways because it feels so traditional. The food at this establishment is excellent, there are many great dishes and this is a place that I recommend to anyone looking for more traditional midwestern fare.
