My Experience with One Source Van Lines - February 2025 Initial Quote and Booking: I received a quote of $1,800 for moving the following items: 20 boxes 2 mirrors 1 love seat couch 2 accent chairs 2 barstools 2 accent tables 1 bar table 75-inch TV 55-inch TV 1 mattress 1 bassboard 1 ottoman Service Issues: The pickup, scheduled for Thursday evening, occurred Friday morning. Despite reducing the load by removing the 55-inch TV, love seat, one mirror, and one box, the movers claimed the remaining items exceeded the cubic footage covered by my $800 deposit. The price increased from $1,800 to $4,000, including a charge for one flight of stairs. Customer Service Response: I contacted customer service immediately after pickup. The initial representative offered a $600 discount. However, on delivery day (Wednesday), the drivers requested the original amount. When I called customer service again, a different representative reduced the discount to $300. Paid the money and learned my lesson for this situation. Moving companies are scammers, the price they give to get a non refundable direct deposit is a scam! Showing up late and overcharging, Not good business! You never know what people can afford and to tell them one thing to raise it twice as much is inconsiderate. Imagine if someone wasn't able to afford the adjusted amount and now you have a moving company keeping your stuff from you until you can afford the increased amount all because "the people on the phone gives rough draft estimates but they don't know how much cubic feet it physically will be." After getting over 10 quotes from different companies, I decided to go with Perez moving. My sales person's name is pica. They gave me a estimate. It wasn't the cheapest it wasn't the highest one. It was right in the middle. I checked them out. They were legit. They gave me a written contract and my price did not change. They picked up the furniture on the day I requested and it arrived in Florida within five days from New York. No items were damage. Nothing was missing the crew that unloaded everything in my apartment was very nice and very cordial. I gave them a tip since they did a great job and did not dirty my wall. I observed two of your movers getting high outside of their moving truck at an I95 Love's rest stop in Florida. Upon calling your company to report concern of these individuals getting into a truck and driving on the highway after getting high, your company representative nonchalantly responded that they get high because they have anxiety. The worst. Do not let them near your house. They show up late. They try to overcharge you for everything. Extra charge for personnel. Then they take huge breaks while charging by the hour. They move extremely slow. They drive slow. They take laps around the parking lot to extend your hourly rate. I could not ask for more. The move was less then I thought it should cost. The men were polite, good humored hard working with caring attitudes. We started and finished in one day. Perez did not charge me until the move was completed even though he dropped off hundreds of dollars in boxes, wardrobes, packing tape and packing paper. Stay away unless you want your things stolen! Two employees of this company were involved in the theft of thousands of dollars of jewelry from my recently widowed mother. They were helping her pack and during this process broke into her carry-on bag, which she had packed and ready to take to the airport for her interstate move. They took jewelry with sentimental value that was beyond words-pieces from my father, grandmother and great-grandmother. This is terrible in any case, but they did this knowing that she had just lost her husband. The owner of the company even claims that he knows who these individuals are and yet has failed to offer any kind of compensation for this tremendous loss. Be careful! Do not use them. My parents just moved from NY and all they had were large boxes (no furniture) moved from their truck to their new place. This place required 3 hour minimum booking for 2 movers for 390.00 The job only took them one hour to complete and then they had nerve to question the number of boxes my parents had and try and hustle my parents for a larger tip instead of just talking to my brother who was there and arranged all of the plans from the beginning. They wanted to complain about 50 boxes meanwhile it took them an hour and they still got paid for 3 hours of work. Great service , courteous staff, and affordable! This is the second time I have used Perez moving & storage. They dropped off all the moving boxes and packing tape a few days before the scheduled move. They arrived on time and finished earlier than expected. They did not leave until we checked each room to make sure I was happy with every detail. They took apart and reassembled all my furniture and garage shelves leaving me with very little to unpack and put away. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them. read more

I hired Perez Brothers Moving in April 2019 to move my home from Boynton Beach, Florida to New York City because my husband had passed away in February and i had just sold our house. The owner came with his movers to direct the movers but he left and the movers were by themselves without supervision. While moving my home one of the movers stole all my jewelry out of a suitcase that was in the livingroom. I notified the Police Department and Perez Brothers Moving as soon as I saw that my jewelry was gone and he called in his workers except one that did not show up and he found out from the other movers that the person that did not show up was the person who stole my jewelry. Later on I was told by the owner of Perez Brothers Moving that one of the movers who did show up had given the other mover drugs and he was given the jewelry and then sold it for $400. Perez Brothers Moving now knows the whole story about what happened and did not report it to the police department and still hires drug addicts and criminals. I did not get any satisfaction from Perez Brothers Moving and the owner did not go to the police department even knowing who the jewelry was sold to. Perez Brothers Moving and the movers knew i had just lost my husband and how can human beings do this to someone who was grieving. Started good, with Nilo coming to do an estimate late evening. It was for an out of state move. He was nice, have me verbal estinate, but was in a hurry to load up before any written estimates. Once loaded up, estimate was $1000 more than verbal estimates! I let it go because I was desperate to get my daughter's stuff moved. He promised they would let me know when they would be able to deliver. Never heard back. When I called, he said he'll call back. Didn't call back. When my daughter called them to check on the status, he yelled at her and challenged fur her to get another mover. Eight days later, they called to let her know they are on the way. When they got to her apartment complex, truck apparently wasn't able to drive thru, so they asked to collect another $400. Beware of this company especially for out of state move! read more

I hired Perez moving last fall. Nilo Perez talked me out of going with another Co saying he could do it faster, better, and cheaper. I showed him what needed to be done. We agreed. His workers came and worked very hard. The son, who remained outside in his truck the entire day, came in, in the middle of the move and said it would be $600 more dollars to continue. I was so upset and bewildered by this, but had no choice. I packed the entire kitchen, buffet, and other valuables totally by myself. It took me over 6 hours. I was working with a swollen foot from fire ant bites on top of it all When we arrived at my destination, during unpacking, they broke my fathers antique desk in front of me, clothing was wadded up and stuffed in boxes with knick knacks, photos , linens. Etc. there was no order. Porcelain figurines were in drawers, unwrapped, broken from knocking around in a bare drawer, back were torn off art works and paintings. It was terrible. They tried to blame me. It was 95 degrees, I fed the crew and kept them up on drinks- hydrating them. They were hard working, and pretty upset themselves at how they were treated I have tried to contact them for 11months. He will not return my phone calls, emails, or text messages. This is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with and I have moved many times!! I told them my only recourse is to go to court and still no response. I needed to move 1 piece of furniture, some pictures and 2 cartons of glasses and knickknacks from Florida to New York. I hired Perez because some other movers would not take such a small load. Before hiring them I asked about paying by credit card (their ad and website both show Visa and Mastercard) and they said OK. They arrived about an hour after the promised time of 9:00 AM. When I called I was told they don't open until 9:00 and were coming from West Palm. They were friendly and efficient when they came, and took care packing my knickknacks. I was promised delivery in NY between 12/8 and 12/10/16. I was told they would call 24 hours in advance, I confirmed that I could pay by credit card. I called on 12/9 to check the status as I had not heard from them. I was told the truck had not left Florida because they were waiting on another pick-up. The new estimate was delivery on 12/18 (Sunday). Again I was told I would have 24 hour notice. I tried calling on 12/16 to confirm that the truck was on route. I got voicemail and left a message. No call back. Called again on 12/17 and 12/18, left messages with no call back. The driver then called me on 12/18 to say they would be there between 3 & 4 PM. Payment in full, in CASH was required. When I told them I was told cred cards were accepted they argued. I then spoke to the office who told me there was a "swipe fee" of $50 to pay by credit card. We argued about this because to contract clearly has Visa/Mastercard as payment options, as does their ad. I was "told" to borrow cash from friends or family (who keeps $1000 cash in the house) and that my other option was to put my stuff in storage which would cost, until I could pay with cash. I was also told the truck was stuck in traffic and the new delivery time was 6:30-7:00. I was finally given a "deal" of a $30. swipe fee. I felt I had no choice. The movers took care of my belongings, but communication is non-existent. I had to continually call for updates. Be aware that if you plan on charging your move, there are hidden fees. Delivery times and days will not be what is promised and if you don't call, you won't know your stuff isn't coming as promised. read more

My movers NYC apparently deals with Perez all the time to move goods from the NY area to FL.mmI had a contract to have my good delivered Dec 11. Perez first picked up the shipment in NYC Dec 15!!!!! Then, though the company NEVER ONCE contacted me to arrange delivering my stuff. When I called them the day they were to deliver in FL (per the NYC guy), they said they would be a day later and required 100% cash up front. In other words, they held my things hostage until I could get to a bank. They had known about this transaction for six weeks, could have notified me of their cash only policy but just couldn't be bothered. The son, Carlos, is delightful to deal with, but the dad calls the shots, and he's totally lacking in humanity and integrity. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF THEY'RE THE LAST ONE STANDING. read more

In February, 2013 I called Perez Moving to arrange to move my 95 year old mother's belongs from Long Island, NY to Jupiter, FL. Mr. Perez gave me a price of $3200. I received an email confirmation from him confirming the price of $3200. The movers arrived in NY on the correct day, March 26, 2013. I received a receipt for the belongings which stated that they were picked up on the 26th and would be delivered in "3 to 10 days". Mr. Perez called me on March 31st to say that the truck had arrived in Jupiter and he would like to deliver the load on Tuesday, April 2nd. He asked for a bank check. I told him I would have a check ready for him in the amount of $3200. He said the price had changed to $6000 because I had verbally requested "expedited services". I called the Jupiter Police who spoke with Mr. Perez and told him he couldn't change the price. He wouldn't budge. He told me to come to his office to "negotiate". I did that and we yelled back and forth for an hour. He told me I should have known that he couldn't make a profit if he only charged me $3200. Finally I said I would pay $4000 and not a penny more. He then demanded only cash when he brought the goods and BEFORE he would unload the truck. When he arrived on April 2, 2013 I paid him $4000 in cash.
