Did the job quickly and well. We live in a log house and had some rotted logs that needed replaced. They replaced the logs, recaulked one entire side of the house, sealed the logs and repainted. They also went above and beyond by redoing caulk and touched up trim and paint where needed. The paint matching was great. I hired Mr. Perez in 2012 to paint interior/exterior of a house I bought. The exterior was in bad shape. Mr. Perez and his hardworking crew of outstanding professionals went above and beyond!! They caulked all of the wooden siding, replaced weathered boards and made some really helpful suggestions for color schemes. For the interior, I wanted the old popcorn ceilings scraped off and retextured. They tackled that first and worked all night to get it done. Late in the season I decided the doug fir timber staining and heavy alder door refinish projects were more than I could handle. Hugo and his team were just what the ranch needed. It started with good communication-testing and agreeing on exact stain and coating products- and a competitive bid. The team cleaned, stained and sealed the hard-to-access timber framing, and sanded the doors followed by stain and sealant to restore the wood worn by years of sun, high altitude and pets, with superb results. Workplace cleanliness was terrific and they danced around our late season weather and remote location without complaints. Hugo added more timbers treated than I requested just to insure a most professional look at no added cost. I look forward to working together on future projects- highly recommend. read more

We paid Hugo Perez $950 to refinish the inside of our front door, a nearby wooden bench, and the fronts of two interior hall doors. He spent a bit more than two hours with us, simply applying stain to the doors and bench. While this was all the two interior doors needed, the front door and bench both required much more extensive work including filling of screw holes and sanding. When we expressed disappointment, he agreed to return, sand and re-stain the bench, and work more on the front door. Despite setting a couple of meeting times, however, he never returned as promised. In the end we paid $950 for about two hours of work and were left looking for someone else to properly refinish our front door and bench. read more

Hugo claimed to be a " cedar siding specialist" and said he could repair woodpecker damage and stain on our mountain home, and repair and paint some stucco and doors. He also quoted and claimed to be able to repair and stain our deck and repair and stain the back porch, which was sagging. The crew that he sent did extremely poor quality work and left my home damaged, unsafe, and shockingly crappy looking. They stained rotten wood instead of replacing ( until i insisted) did not caulk anywhere, where paint was used ( doors primarily, the house was to be stained) they did no prep on the doors and slapped one coat on, which is not sticking and has already begun to peel. The " repairs" done to my sagging back porch are so incredibly poorly done that I will likely have to have the porch completely removed and rebuilt! I could continue for pages with the shocking incompetence and complete lack of concern for the outcome! Hugo said he would come back and "fix" the issues, but after he missed two appointments, I have been ghosted! I am left to deal with the atrocious mess that those people made, which will cost thousands of dollars to try to undo the damage that they left behind. AVOID THIS COMANY!!! The people that show up to your house are NOT craftsmen, professional, or even care in the slightest about the safety of your family or the quality of work done to your property. Hugo and his crew should be ashamed of themselves and are not worthy of your business. read more

Justo Perez just finished replacing the wire racks in 6 of my closets. He and his team patched the holes, sanded, and replaced the previous shelving with wood shelves and rods. DO NOT USE Perez Painting. They did a horrible job on my house and refused to fix it. Two of my neighbors also had problems with them. They used different color stains on my house causing it to be all mismatched. They missed a bunch of areas and didn't stain the tops of any of the siding boards. I ultimately had to hire a new contractor to fix all their errors that they refused to fix. A judgement was ordered against them for the cost of the damages and they refuse to pay. Hugo seemed great at first but lied about the product they were using and what they would do. When the work started everything was different and he kept arguing about it. If you do use them, get everything in writing, watch them like a hawk, and DON"T PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT. The company I hired to fix it didn't charge anything up front and did an amazing job. read more

I hired Perez painting to paint my log cabin and I am amazed at how good the paint job came out. Hugo and his team did an amazing job at a price that was much lower than any of his competitors. Not only that, but Hugo was able to give me some solid advise on some of my other house projects even though he wasn't making any money off of them. Perez Painting came out a couple months ago and did a couple of minor and big repairs on the siding before painting. The paint I had originally picked didn't come out like I had imagined it. So I stopped them from finishing the job. So I can get a new color and get it approved for them to come back out and repaint the house. Finally got approval from the HOA for a new color and Perez was patient. They came out & repainted and the house came out beautifully!! & Hugo threw in some shutters personally made from his company. read more

Ten years ago we used Perez Painting. We furnished the paint, he and his brother Oscar were in charge of the job and we had a great experience which resulted in numerous recommendations. This experience was the exact opposite. The problem with Perez Painting, LLC is Hugo. After contracting to have our house painted, many appointments to pick up paint samples were missed with Hugo never calling to cancel, just not showing up. Phone calls were not answered. The job started a month late. Hugo said it would be "no problem" matching our custom paint colors but he FAILED to check the results of the body and trim custom match with the paint samples given him before he purchased or applied the paint. Had he just checked the colors everything from that point would have been fine and this would have been a very different review. But, he did not check the colors which were both visually the same and very close to that of the original LIGHT trim. Hugo did not oversee the job and none of the painters spoke more than a few words of English. They did a good job painting. Had the paint been close to the body, they would have only had to repaint the trim, but the wrong color was too creamy and much too light for that resolution. Hugo failed to take responsibility and blamed everyone else. He had us contact his paint rep, who we found had absolutely nothing to do with the issue, to try to get him free paint though it was not a paint but a color issue. That rep came to our house and told Hugo in no uncertain terms he (Hugo) was responsible to make it right. It took the threat of a BBB complaint to get him to even start to correct the problem. He continued to make promises and back peddled every time. After his color match was so far off, we had our same paint samples scanned and the custom match was very close to our originals. We provided Hugo with more large painted samples; smaller painted samples with store stickers attached with the exact paint colorant mixture, printed explicit instructions on the paint, colorant mixture and application instructions. He again claimed the store kept them all, rather than he left or lost them. We found Hugo's two coats are "wet on wet" one immediately after another which is not following the paint application instructions. He lost the paint samples and exact colorant mixture provided him at least four times. He finally started to repaint the house. He had agreed and we had him initial a written agreement as he most often did not keep word, to repaint the house the correct color with two coats. The first coat done was not a good cover. He again refused to come out and apply the second coat. It took angry words and the threat of filing a BBB complaint and taking him to court to get him to finish the job. Fortunately for us, his brother Oscar was available to oversee the last day of painting. We could not be more impressed with Oscar. At the finale walk through, which Hugo never did the first time, Oscar quickly and very happily corrected any small issues we found. He and the crew repainted the house and trim in less than four hours. We would not hesitate to contract Oscar Perez and his crew for a paint job, but unfortunately Hugo is in charge and we would not use Perez Painting LLC again. If everything goes smoothly Hugo is a great guy, but if he makes a mistake, he refuses to take responsibility. read more

Poor poor finished product from Hugo and his team. We asked over and over for a satin finish on our cabinets and after coming back twice to repaint still received a high gloss that looks bad. Very disappointed and should have kept the check and contacted the BBB. Find another painter!! read more

We hired Perez Painting to paint the exterior of one of our rentals. As our rule I did not want to pay until the job was finished. My 1st trip to the house to do the scheduled final inspection was a waste of time since they weren't finished. Same thing with the 2nd trip. On the 3rd trip I payed them because it looked like they had only about 30 minutes of work left. After I left they left too without finishing the work. After numerous attempts to get Hugo to send someone out I finally gave up and had someone else finish the job. I would not recommend this company! No pride in their work. read more

When they did not show up at scheduled time my husband called. No one answered and after 6 calls and no return calls we gave up. Very unprofessional company. Do NOT hire these guys! We hired them to paint both the exterior and interior of our home, and to drywall parts of two rooms. They do NOT know how to install and finish drywall. The gaps on the drywall install were large and the seams were obvious. They didn't use tape and could not figure out how to properly add texture. Furthermore, they started painting before they finished drywalling. They didn't patch holes and forgot to paint parts of the interior. We finally fired them because of their incompetence and are now needing to hire another company to fix and finish the job. They are also careless in their work and leave a dirty job site, full of open cans of paint, paper, drywall dust etc. Worse still, they are borderline dishonest. They will quote a low price but as soon as they start the job, they won't complete work that is ordinarily part of the job; like filling cracks in the drywall and patching holes. Hugo will demand more money for what should be included in the price. Consequently, your bargain price will cost you as much as some group who actually knows what they are doing. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS! SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOME HONEST, COMPETENT CONTRACTOR! read more
