I've had both gel manicures and pedicures here and have always been very pleased with the quality of the services. This is a husband-and-wife-owned business, and they are both so nice, personable, and welcoming. One of the things I love most is that it's just the two of them providing services. There aren't a bunch of technicians or a constant stream of people coming and going. The salon is peaceful, quiet, and relaxing, which makes getting a manicure or pedicure feel like an enjoyable break rather than being in a hectic, noisy salon. I also appreciate seeing the American spirit alive and well. The owner is comfortable displaying his personal political preferences in his own business, and I respect his right to do that. You may or may not agree with his views, but I appreciate living in a country where a small-business owner can express his beliefs without having to hide them--and still provide a welcoming and respectful environment to his customers. I also want to mention the salon's cash-or-check-only policy, because I think it's important to be fair about this. They are upfront with new customers about the policy when appointments are made, and there is also a clearly posted sign in the salon. There's no attempt to surprise anyone. Personally, I actually appreciate it. By not accepting credit cards, they avoid the credit card processing fees that businesses are charged and can keep their prices reasonable instead of passing those costs on to customers through higher prices or additional fees. I'm always happy to support a small, independently owned business, especially one where you receive personal attention and consistently good service. After being a customer for so many years, I can confidently say that I highly recommend this salon! When I told him he was hurting me, he actually tested the grinder on himself as if he didn't believe me, then put it right back on my finger. I repeatedly told him that he was cutting my cuticles and causing pain. It wasn't until he saw the blood on my fingers that he finally apologized. The fact that he initially dismissed my concerns and acted as though I was exaggerating is absolutely unacceptable. The quality of the gel manicure was terrible. The shine wore off after about a day, and the gel was not applied smoothly, leaving my nails bumpy and uneven. They looked poorly done from the start. As for my toes, the polish lasted only about four hours before it started chipping and peeling off. I've attached photos showing the damage. To make matters worse, my mom received a manicure and pedicure during the same visit and experienced similar issues. Her nails began chipping within 24 hours, and I've attached photos of her nails as well. This salon is very expensive, yet the quality of service and workmanship was far below acceptable standards! Between being cut multiple times, having my concerns ignored, and receiving nail services that started failing almost immediately, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. Stay away!
