    Cut on toe

I had a great experience the first time for my mani/pedi at this salon. That person left the salon by next visit. My next appointment was with a person who was in a rush to leave for the day and it was uncomfortable and not relaxing. The 3rd and last time left me with a terrible experience as he was rough, actually cut my skin when trimming my toenail with blood dripping out. Then blaming it on the shape of my nails. My toe skin was tender for a week and thankfully did not get infected.

You were able to attend 2 classes and receive any 1 hour body session...that includes facials and massages. Upon walking into the resort, my thought was that it looked so pristine. Everything was white and cream colored and just made my nerves calm. After checking in we received a map of the property and a complimentary CIVANA water bottle that you can use at any of the filtered water stations. What a great touch. The pool associated with the spa was nice. I didnt get in but I did lounge pool side and enjoyed a delicious burger and wedges. Food and drinks are sold separately. There were plenty of lockers and space to spread out. There was an aqua therapy circuit featuring hot and cold Kneipp Walks , cold plunge pool and Tepdarium pool. However as soon as I walked into that area, my eyes burned so bad. There was so much chlorine in there I was just uncomfortable. for the spa session i enjoyed the revive to thrive. You begin with a dry-glove exfoliation to jumpstart detoxification and stimulate the lymphatic system. Next, the body is covered in warm herbalized oil from scalp to toes with friction strokes that move the oil into the tissues to further dislodge toxins. Then muscle-specific strokes are used to promote relaxation. Finally, your therapist will use Marma Point Therapy to stimulate and awaken energy in the body, calm the mind, and activate healing. I fell asleep. lol Overall I would recommend to have this experience at least once in your life. The classes were delightful and I brought some techniques home with me.

From doing a morning yoga class to doing Feng Shui Love and Relationships class in the late afternoon. I did have a massage here, which was hot stone deep tissue massage and Veronica got me right. I don't get too many massages but I need to do it more often. Spa facilities were excellent - eucalyptus steam, sauna, cold plunge, poolside food service, and all of it clean and well attended to. I was going to take off a star due to my food having hair embedded in the cheese on my turkey burger. The staff was so attentive to make me another burger with a quickness and they're so kind to remove it from my tab. I appreciate them for resolving that issue and making that experience not as bad. Those white sweet potato fries were delicious! I must find those to make some at home. The massage treatment itself was amazing and very rejuvenating. I just need to restate that again, and I appreciate my masseuse telling me to stay hydrated for the rest of the day because I felt the result the next morning only a little bit. I didn't have too bad of muscle cramps the next day. The entire sounds were beautiful and it was calming to view. Especially seeing bunnies hop around and even a lizard crawl by. I would definitely come back for another visit.

Unfortunately, the front desk experience was so poor that it completely ruined the visit. I had a valid gift certificate purchased for me two years ago that was attached to an email. At checkout, the front desk employee, Nicole, immediately became argumentative instead of helpful. I provided my email, my phone number, my daughter's email, two additional phone numbers, and even spelled the emails out twice. I repeatedly asked for one minute to search my records, and she would not stop interrupting or pressing me. She insisted they "only issue physical gift cards," which was not how mine was purchased. The interaction became confrontational and unprofessional. Eye-rolling, dismissive tone, and refusal to simply pause and look further created an unnecessarily hostile situation. Instead of leaving relaxed after a 90-minute massage, I left feeling pressured and upset. I ultimately paid again just to get out of the building. What makes this worse is that the moment I got to my car, my daughter immediately located the purchase confirmation under the exact email I had provided -- meaning the credit did exist exactly as I said. It is extremely disappointing when the quality of the service inside the room is undone by poor customer service at the front desk. Basic patience and professionalism would have solved this in under a minute. Instead, it turned into an avoidable negative experience.

Because we were staying on site I made the wise decision to go two days in a row. The first day I went splashy and got a facial at the Sisley spa inside the spa. I love Sisley products. What an incredible experience. This includes up to three flutes of M&C champagne, macarons and a sample gift. It was an excellent facial and a great start to our mini getaway. The second day I went to the larger part of the spa and had a one hour massage with April. This was fantastic. Both days I had full access to all the facilities for no upcharge. There were waterfalls, water therapy and a large rooftop pool. It was chilly out, but many of us braved the chill in our oversized robes in an attempt to soak up some sun by the pool. I got some sun on my legs for a good 20 minutes. Brrrrr! The second day I had a generously sized fruit salad pool side. The only recommendation is that they could make prettier packaging for the food. Service was perfect. I would repeat this in a heartbeat.

I came in for a 1 hour massage and added on the foot scrub. It was a full body massage that ended with a scalp massage. Marie was my masseuse and I highly recommend her. She was very attentive and asked the right questions to make sure I was in maximum comfort. The aromas are perfectly applied and not overwhelming. I loved the eucalyptus towards the end of the massage and my feet felt baby soft and clean after the foot scrub. The amenities are fabulous. The lavender meditation room is under rated. The aroma is subtle and fresh, cool temperature and dim lighting. Feels calm and not many people use it. A nice place to reset and calm your mind. The rooftop pool is nicely shaded, I read my book there for a while. I'm coming back in a few weeks to try a facial. Already booked my next massage.

What I will say is the spa has a lot of activities outside of your treatments so if you're going to be booking a spa day, make sure you check the calendar to see what other offerings that they have. Very excited for an upcoming spa day and will update my review once I get a full treatment. I will recommend that if you see Savannah after dark pop-up again, it is a really nice way to tour the facilities and get in some mini treatments to see if you would like to come back for the full spa day. It seems like it has many caveats from places that accept it. You can only use it for full-peice services, and you can't book a package of services or seasonal specials. The shop was comfortable and very hippie inside. A bit too many chotchkies for sale inside, but retail is necessary , I realize. The music was a little too crazy and loud for me. Everyone was very nice, and though you can purchase a membership, I loved that it was very low pressure. It actually seems like a good deal that your services can be rolled forward, and can be combined for a larger service. I'm just not a subscription person. I booked an hour massage and a facial. The facial was very thorough and relaxing. The massage was also great, but ended really quickly. When I got dressed and walked to the desk, the gal apologized, as she didn't realize that I had booked an hour. She said I could go back in and get another 30 minutes, but I was already put back together. No thanks. As I checked out, I was also given a cute little facial gift bag, with a nice smelling cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Nice touch. I had a decent service. I'm on the fence about this place. Give it a try though. Better than any local chain.
