The point is I did not have those issues before receiving treatment, therefore the treatment caused those issues. When I said I was leaving she actually stood in my way and refused to move even when asked, preventing me from leaving the office. She shifted her body at one point which allowed me to I grab my bag and leave. I'm sure there's many things she can do well but I do not receive such treatment. I also wasn't even refunded any money, so I paid nearly 2k and ended up looking worse than I did before receiving treatment.

1 star -- Severe leg injury from laser treatment, then weeks of being ignored…read more I went in for my very first laser hair removal appointment on June 18th and left with severe burns/injuries covering both my legs (see photos). The marks were still visible almost two weeks later (i'm praying these are not permanent scars). I saw my own doctor on June 24th, who diagnosed an adverse skin reaction to the laser treatment, prescribed prescription-strength steroid cream and a prednisone taper, and explicitly advised me not to return for further treatment at this location. What made it worse was the response after: * The marks became visible the day after my appointment (Friday, June 19th). I was working all day and couldn't call, so I emailed them that same day asking if my legs -- badly swollen and itchy -- were a normal reaction. * Saturday, June 20th: I called right when they opened, since I still hadn't heard back on my email. I sent photos as requested. No callback all weekend, so I ended up at urgent care for a hydrocortisone prescription. * Monday, June 22nd: called again, was told the "lead nurse" would call me Tuesday. Also learned that the petroleum jelly they gave me at my appointment to apply afterward was actually making the injury worse (trapping heat) -- meaning their own staff handed me something that worsened my injury. * Tuesday, June 23rd: no call. Called again, was told the same thing. I also sent a second, detailed email that day explaining everything. Their site advertises a 24-hour email response; I never got one. * Wednesday, June 24th: saw my own doctor, who confirmed the severity and advised against continuing treatment. I called LaserAway to cancel my 8-session contract and was told a director would follow up in 24-48 hours. * I heard nothing. I had a beach vacation starting the very next day, and had to keep my legs covered and out of the ocean the entire trip because of this. * I followed up again after vacation (Monday, June 29th) and was told 24-72 business hours. * Got a callback the next day (Tuesday, June 30th), told -- again -- to send photos so a nurse could "look into it," with a callback promised for tomorrow (which is now today). As of writing this, every single promised callback in this process has either not happened or happened days late, so I'm not optimistic. I've since sent a formal written request for contract cancellation, a full refund, and reimbursement of my medical costs, along with my doctor's documentation. We'll see if that ever gets a response. This is a company whose entire business is aesthetics, and when they visibly injured a first-time client, the response was silence, contradictory advice, and stalling on a contract cancellation while the clock ran on my sessions. My vacation was negatively affected by their negligence. I would not recommend anyone start treatment here.

It is now May 27 -- one week later and my brows are sparse, damaged, and actively falling out. I am including before and after photos. In the before photos you can see my natural brows. Thick, full, and well-defined from the head all the way through the tail. In the after photos you can see the tail of both brows is now sparse and fragmented, with hairs visibly scattered and damaged. This is not fading. This is structural damage. Here is what happened: When I arrived I was immediately handed a consent form and pressured to sign it on the spot with no advance notice. When I took out my phone to photograph the form (so I could reference the aftercare instructions I was agreeing to follow) I was told I was not allowed to take pictures. I have never had a service provider refuse to let me document a form I'm being asked to sign. Before the lamination, she threaded my brows so aggressively that I was visibly shocked. I have had brow laminations many times. Every other technician I've been to takes off as little hair as possible before a lamination because the entire point is to create a full, fluffy result. When I asked her directly what look we were going for, she dismissed my concern and said they would be fluffy once she was finished. They were not. During the chemical processing (a timed procedure where monitoring is critical) she left me to perform threading on two walk-in customers. This is almost certainly why my brows were over-processed. This has never happened to me before at other establishments. When I asked for aftercare instructions before leaving, she pointed me at a poster on the wall for Elleebana Lash Lift maintenance. That is a lash lift aftercare card, a completely different service. I was never given written brow lamination aftercare, just a quick verbal "no fluids or oils for 48 hours". I followed the 48 hour rule to a tee. I take the process very seriously because, of course, I don't want to waste my money. Results: my brow tint was completely gone by day 4. Brow tint should last 4-6 weeks. One week out, my brows are dry, brittle, and falling out every time I brush them. Hair loss is not a listed risk in their consent form. This is not a normal outcome. This is what happens when a chemical treatment is over-processed and left unmonitored. I have the consent form documented (I took a picture before she tried to tell me I couldn't, Thank GOD I did!!). I am pursuing a full refund and will be filing a complaint with the Maryland State Board of Cosmetologists. Do not risk your brows here.
