I love how my eyebrows are done here ! I always have had negative or hit or miss expiriences at other eyebrow threading place because they ALWAYS take off too much even when I explain to them what I want. She is the first person who has actually listened to what I wanted for my eyebrows. I let her know that I wanted a clean up but slightly square shape since the last lady messed up my brows and that I was also growing my eyebrows out so I was okay with some spacing for them to grow. I wanted to try her out a few times before giving a solid review...and I'm so happy that I did! Not only is she professional and courteous, she has an excellent technique when it comes to threading. Some people split the hair right at the top (similar to shaving) where it looks smooth, but a few days later grows back. This is horrible for someone who gets any type of facial threading done. Especially women. I don't want my lip to look fuzzy 4 days after an appointment. However, Kamna has no issues when it comes to this. She pulls hair right from the root. It takes a few minutes longer, but the area is always clean and smooth when she's finished. I'm a little hesitant to get my eyebrows done again, but I think we had a miscommunication when I said, "Even them out". It resulted in eyebrows that looked a little too skinny...but it's nothing that some pencil couldn't fix. In fact, I've received so many compliments that it's a little unnerving. Thanks Kamna! The pricing is also cheaper compared to other areas. The downside? Her room is a little cold, since it's located in what looks like the garage of her home. Final verdict? I'll take the cold room, cheaper prices, and excellent technique over a pretty salon with employees that overcharge for mediocre service any day of the week. read more

I second Lolita's review. I am extremely disappointed in the outcome especially after she was the one that told me someone else had messed up my eyebrows and i need to keep growing them out so she can fix them. Well, i grew them out like she instructed and went back after over 4 weeks to walk out with worse eyebrows! I wanted to cry! She just said, that's the shape of your eyebrow, where as before she said someone else had messed them up. As you can see from my picture, one eyebrow starts closer to my nose and the other higher. One is arched rounder than the other. Just so disappointed and annoyed at this outcome! Lady is nice but her threading leaves so much more to be desired. Kamna's a very nice lady but unfortunately her eyebrow threading skills are SERIOUSLY lacking. I HATE to be mean but I have to give an honest review so that eyebrow threading veterans like me can make informed decisions. As someone who has been getting eyebrow threading done for the last 15 years, she was by FAR the worst eyebrow threader I have ever come into contact with. Those who have raved about her threading MUST be non middle easterners who are intrigued by the novelty of the process rather than the outcome. When you do nothing but wax, of course threading will seem amazing so I really truly feel that ignorance is bliss for those who given her anything more than 2 stars. When I went to go see Kamna, life had caught up with me and I hadn't gotten any time to do my eyebrows for quite some time. As someone who stresses the importance of good eyebrows this was extremely sad but also very exciting because although my eyebrows were a hot mess, my eyebrow threader would have a lot more to work with and all the flaws of the past could finally be corrected with a new clean slate. A good eyebrow threader would have had a heyday, a terrible eyebrow threader would have had no idea where to start. I will let you guess which group Kamna falls under. So basically kamna did my eyeybrows and handed me a mirror so I could approve... It was literally a JOKE. I didn't even know where or how to begin to tell her that she needed to fix it. I seriously couldn't believe that she would be okay with letting me walk out of her salon looking like that. I tried to tell her what to do, but I'm no eyebrow expert when it comes to shaping so I didn't really know how to fix the mess. All the other eyebrow threaders I've been to will identify the problem areas and tell me what I need to do to fix it. This was the first time I had to be the one to tell the PERSON WHO IS PERFORMING THE SERVICE what to do. The rest of my visit was pretty much more of me telling her what is wrong and her trying to fix it... Which ended up making things worse. One was thicker than the other, and she took hair from places that did not need to be removed causing my whole eyebrow shape to change. Eventually I gave up so I thanked her for her time, paid her, and politely left. She evaluates the state of your brows (uneven and unkempt in my case), then quickly removes the hair until you are left with elegant eyebrows that truly compliment your face. I like my brows to be on the thicker side with a very slight arch, and I got just that without even specifying. Every time I go I get compliments rangng from my boyfriend to strangers in public! I originally found Kamna though Yelp, and am happy that I did! I have seen Kamna three times, and I have never had any issues. My eyebrows have always turned out beautifully. She doesn't rush you through the appointment, and takes extra time to make sure your eyebrows look their best. She is very pleasant and easy to work with. Kamna is also very flexible with her schedule. Give her a call, and she'll set a time with you! If she misses your call, she will call you back. Even if she is not working in her new salon on New Hampshire Avenue, she does threading at her home salon located in her garage. (The garage is clean and well-maintained.) For only $10, Kamna does a wonderful job. She doesn't judge you based on the condition of your eyebrows (trust me, mine required serious grooming!) and manages to keep a smile on her face. I only go to Kamna's to get my threading done! She's very thorough! My face always looks brighter after she works on my eyebrows and upper lip. Perhaps I need to go more frequently?! At other places I've gone to in the past, threading hurts a lot! I'm not sure what technique she uses, but when she does the threading, it doesn't hurt quite as much! She's very friendly and pleasant. She definitely wants you to be comfortable and relaxed while she works on you. I know she offers other services, like waxing, but I haven't tried it yet. I WAS not a big fan of threading because if my one and only experience with the technique at another place was really painful. I thought I would give it another go about a year later at Kamnas, since I did notice that with threading it took longer for my eyebrow hair to grow back and the shape looked very precise and clean.
