Great deep tissue massage. The woman gave one of my best massages ever. I left extremely relaxed.

For me, 6omin combo (foot massage and oil massage) is just right. They have 90 min combo as well but more than60 min I feel exhausted unless I'm going to bed right after. Price is better, too considering massage places prices are going up with inflation. Its relaxing and rejuvenating and they work on my affected area which is always neck and shoulders very well. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is my masseuse kept leaving me to welcome new guest, answering the phone, etc maybe due to not enough staff. But I felt little cheater with time. read more

Nice place for a quick foot and body massage. The chairs are comfortable, and place is clean, and the staff maintained a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. I opted for the 1 hour foot and body massage, this consists of a fully clothed body massage in a dimly lit room with other chairs/people also getting massages, while serene music is playing, first it starts with dipping your feet in a bucket of warm water while the masseuse massages your head, shoulders and arms for about 20 minutes, then removes your feet from the water and proceeds to do a food and leg massage for another 20 mins, and then you get flipped over and get a back massage. My body massage was just ok, but my leg and foot massage was great. The staff was professional, and it is convenient that they open late and that they take walk-ins. If I am ever in the area again I would return. Great value for the service. read more

I've had better. Prices are higher than the competitors and they have less experienced staff. They also seemed really unprepared and disorganized when my friend and I went there in a weeknight. The "Happy" place was too busy for walk-ins so I yelped the next nearest place that had someone who answered the phone. Friendly when we got there, they also have a large menu on the wall with descriptions and prices which makes it easy to point to what you want sibce they speak literally three words of English at this place. We were put in the room and left there for over five minutes like they disappeared. Not a good sign. Then two guys who looked like I should card them came in. My friend said her guy was so gentle she didnt feel much and almost fell asleep. Mine was so rough I left bruised. Didnt feel like it was even worth half what I paid (she agreed). This place is either a 2 or 4 star depending on how you like your massages. If you want a place that speaks English probably not going to be your place. I think all of the women working here were Chinese and their English was very broken. Quaint little massage location, everything looked and smelled clean. This will be the deciding factor for you. If you don't like anybody getting very close to your private parts, don't come here. If you're ok with you being nude and them massaging everywhere and I mean everywhere except for your, I don't if I can say the P-word on Yelp so I'll say, "pen is" then check it out. They were very thorough and did a good job. Hot stones were free. The one other thing that was weird but I tried it anyways was they give you a shower on this table shower apparatus and they'll scrub all the lotion and oil off that they used. So you leave feeling clean and non-oily. Pros: Thorough and the complimentary hot stones and table shower were different but cool. Cons: Very "intimate" massage Overall: If you're comfortable with a very hands on close massage check it out. For $35 you can't be that. read more

This is a great place for a quick relaxation session. Like the other reviewers said, most of the people here don't speak English, but I do know for a fact that one of the massage workers speaks very fluent English. This is definitely your place if you're into a no-nonsense massage that is very easy on the wallet. One-Hour massages usually run for around $40. I know people expect places like this to speak more English, but as an Asian American myself, I can identify with the workers and what they do to make ends meet. They know basic English words like "harder, softer, no not okay, or okay." If you can tolerate this language barrier, you'll have a great time! I also know that there are many options like hot stone or the table shower, but I have always gone in for the basic one hour table massage. This place is also very comparable to Happy Day Spa but is significantly smaller in size. If you're looking for a quick relaxation, this is your place. I really love this massage place. I used to work right by it, and I would go in tired and sore and unhappy and probably, well, rank... and they would fix me right up! Everyone was always very sweet, very polite, and (contrary to some of the reviews I've seen on here, which confuse me) incredibly aware of my boundaries. I wish there was a little more English speaking, and I don't know what I'm supposed to tip because I'm bad at this, but I really do love this place. I experienced a very impersonal, unsatisfying massage. They didnt listen to my needs and seemed like they didn't really know anatomy very well. The massage felt like those leg massages you receive at a cheap Nail salon but throughout the whole body. Thy moved too fast to get through your whole body. I do not recommend this spa. read more

Do yourself a favor and go to a reputable massage spa. I agree w/ many others. This business is a last resort. $70 for 90 minutes that Was interupted several times. (Still tipped $20) so $90 todal for someone without a Ca Cmt cert. One older lady started and finally after a long week I started to relax. Then another young asian girl she said was her daughter (looked like a college student) entered the room (door wide open while I lay undressed ) which made me uncomfortable. She looked maybe 20. And it completely distracted me and ruined my relaxation. The room was very cold. I kept shivering and the girl kept laughing saying, "you no need be nervous!" I said, for the 4th time, " It is cold in here!!!" I had told the 1st lady I wasn't interested in back walking. The 2nd young lady spent 30 minutes walking all over my back. It did feel good and helped break the knots. She seemd to have very little actual training. More like she'd been shown what to do. It was a serious bummer. It appears to be a mid 40's Asain couple running it or owning it. This address says it is Lotus but it is another name on the building. Do yourself a favor and go to a private Cmt. I only went there because my "my cmt" is on vacation and I was aching and it was a rainy day today. GO somewhere else. Unless you want a low income setting w/ someone who walking on your body. (Not real back walking) I will say she did ask several times if the pressure was ok and if I was ok. (I was so cold I was shivering) and I kept telling her the room was cold. Anyway. Good luck!! Hubby and I stopped by with no appointment and was pleasantly surprised that they can both accommodate us for their 90min special for $60 each. The sign says this includes table shower and hot stone. Hubby was happy with his massage (no shower but with hot stone) and he said he'll give it 4 stars because his masseuse was really good. I had a very different experience and would give it 1star. To me a 90min full body massage is not like the $20 foot massage that they do. However, the 90 you get is like a hybrid. The first 15 min was a 'dry' massage (no lotion, just a rough towel between your skin and his very dry hands) then 30 minutes with baby oil, then 30 dry massage again, and the last 10 with baby oil again. The dry massages were very uncomfortable and I did not get any hot stones. The bed creaked the whole time so serenity was non existent here. The worst part was when I realized I was half naked on the table and I keep hearing people pass by so I peeked through my towel and the door was open! Other clients can see me on the way to the restroom and the staff passes me by as the towel room was across from me. I was just mortified! I asked him to close the door but the door seemed broken since it would open again mid session and he'll just leave it open! Session ended 5min early but I was just relieved it was over. I would never come back here again but hubby said he will. 2 different experiences even though we went the same time. I want to help other yelpers stay informed so take pick on this one. Ok, I have read all the reviews and I can only tell you what my 5 trips have been like for me. In the beginning I thought the same about being a "hug & tug" but not true, yes they do get a little to close for some Americans whos never had a Chinese massage..... It has been a fantastic place for me to relax and get a nice massage .... I have no problem with the place and I can assure you that it dose have a good reputation with me.... I like the foot massage. Its $20 bucks but I tip them ten. It's really a whole body massage but without being nude.

I'm really not sure how this place gets 4 stars. I went there last night with my boyfriend and we both had the foot massage. We were greeted by a couple of young Asian guys that looked like they were home from college break or something. It was strange that they were dressed in street clothes instead of being uniformly dressed. BF used the bathroom before starting and said it was bad. Guys aren't as picky about bathrooms so saying it was bad was, just, well...bad. My "masseuse" applied almost no pressure the while time..his hands were actually a little shaky, sweaty even. Not good. Weird. BF said his kid was OK though. Pass on this place and if you want a really good massage, head to Golden Hand in Folsom. It's worth the drive. read more

I agree with the first guy. I have had some back and neck pain, so my girlfriend thought it would be good for me to get a massage. I found a coupon for this place in the "Clipper Magazine". So I went... This place looked tacky, but I pressed on. I didn't know what to look for. I went to a private room and stripped down to my undies and put the small towel over me. The girl came in and said hello, I said hello back. She then discretely took my undies off, OK, bit uncomfortable. Also, uncovering me from time to time. Also, uncomfortable, but I went with it. The massage was going well, and I actually enjoyed it, until the last five minuets when she was getting real frisky with my inner thigh and grazing my giblets. I think she was doing some ancient Chinese arousal techniques. Enough said, I felt violated and almost as I inadvertently cheated on my girl. I would stay away from her if all you want is a good therapeutic massage... Go to Massage Envy, They are licensed, Professional, and respectful. I have been only once, and vowed not to return, although the coupons offer a variety of nice offers. Being a message therapist myself, I am able to pretty much able to know if it is a good message or not. At first, all seem okay, however, the therapist made some very unflattering comments about my anatomy. Second, I opted at the end to try a table shower, never again with them. The bowl they laid my head on to rinse my head, smelled like a sewer, and I almost gagged. Lastly, I tipped the therapist but they said it wasn't enough, like 5.00 was the original, so I went to the ATM, took out some more money, came back , and offered another 7.00, which was accepted. I will never go back, I have found many Chinese therapists at the end make you feel you owe them or else. Plus most want you to pay for the massage before hand, even if you get a bad massage there is no recourse, you lose. read more

This place is great and has been under new management for the last 2 months at least. My wife and I have been there almost 8 times now. Sometimes together and sometimes separate. Suki, Lucy, and William are all outstanding. Very friendly, very professional, and all give an excellent massage. Prices are very reasonable. Place is very clean, good atmosphere, and comfortable tables. I know Suki for almost 3 years now when she was with another spa, and now is a new owner of Lotus Massage. Great place, don't miss it. The most HORRIBLE experience of my life!!!! first of all the lady that was going to give me my message would not let me undress in private as soon as i would take something off she would bust in the curtain door leaving me completely exposed.. When I laid on the table to get a message she came in a took my towel off (she never fully closed the door) an like the other guy said they really have no off limit parts she tried to massage my breast an got VERY close to my va-jayjay a couple times they do not even care to keep to covered so anybody that wakes by your room can look in an see you! To top it of it was the most painful message I have ever had she was so rough an when I told her it was hurting she all of a sudden didn't speak English. When I went to pay I pulled out my money an she ripped all of it out of my hands when I told her that was too much I only owed her 40 an that was 50 she said "yes my tip" I said "no I'm not giving you a tip I'm in pain now when I wasnt when I came here" she started to act like a 2 yr old and said "no you tip!" trying to force me to tip here when I felt like I had just been molested and beaten.
