I have given this woman a lot of business and money and enjoyed using her to alter all of my items, probably several times a month. The last time she told me a really high amount (higher than she ever has) to get jeans altered. I told her that was a bit much and I'll need to shop around for a better price. She gave me a huge attitude and was incredibly rude about giving my jeans back off the hanger and I was just in awe by how rude she was in her demeanor, given our history. I asked her to please be kinder especially to me someone who has always supported your business but the prices have increased dramatically and I will not pay 160 to get a simple fix on my small jeans. She was incredibly rude back again and said "leave then!". I did leave and will never be back. I was so sad and disappointed because I knew I would never go back, even if it was just a bad day. That treatment was uncalled for and not how a professional should handle their business with customers who have used your business and have shown loyalty. read more

To begin my story: I had a zipper repair needed for a pair of ski pants and wanted to add a zipper to the obvious front of a pair of male ski bibs. Both pants were made perfect with a stitch by Charolette!! The ski bibs were completely redesigned with the addition of the front zipper and to look at them you would never think they were made without it. The pants we also made to be perfect. I altered my bridal jumpsuit last week there and I was quite disappointed. 1. The main request I want is not achieved 2. I was over charged for only altering the side seam and bra cup. The main request: alter the white cape behind it so that it will show up my arms -- the tailor told me this is very difficult to achieve. Other requests: alter side seam so it fits more to my waist and cup bra cup. Total $165 However she was not able to alter the main request and I was charged for $100. ????? Myself is also a fashion designer and I worked for alterations department before. Hand sew a bra cup: takes me 5 mins. You just need to loosely hand stitch the bras Altering the side seam: depends on the dress. This is a JUMPSUIT. No multiplayers. No boning. No corset. Just lining and the top fabric. How difficult is that? Cost you like 1 hour max to do? And these two charges me like $100????!! Please be honest and tell me you did not over charged me. Besides. I notice that the side seam is not even altered in good stitches as the interlocking threads are coming out from the sides! Ok, if you use locking machine, that's even faster. I do not know how fast and carefulness when you altered my bridal wear. You probably just want to finish it and did not put attention to alter it nicely. Finally. The main request. To be honest, it is more higher level skills because it needs to change the shape of the cape. But as a bridal tailor, you should know bridal PATTERN-MAKING and DRAPING. I'm not blaming you cannot do that but that is a requirement to all higher level alteration specialists. Ok, you cannot do that. But why charge me 2/3 of the cost while not being able to finish the main requests??? And the rest two is rather simple! My jumpsuit only has two layers! Not 10 layers. Now I have to open the side seams and manually stitch them together as the threads are coming out. Last, when I was questioning the price. The tailor was so impatient as she knows she charged me unreasonably. She rejected to explain. Sad. In sum, this is a place maybe for daily causal wear alteration. But for custom formal wears, clearly tailor needs to improve his/her skills. If you have a designer high end piece please take it to Miami or Tampa to alter. This place is not capable to alter complicated shapes and silhouettes. read more

Charlotte is an alterations miracle worker! I bought a dress from China from a company that had terrible reviews. I loved the dress enough that I decided to take a chance. The dress was beautiful but very ill-fitting. Charlotte moved the waist up a few inches, took in the sides significantly, altered the sleeves and hemmed the dress. She also had to remove and reattach beads by hand. She made the process fun and endearing because she is such a lovely person. My friends went with me to two of the fittings and we had a great time. The alterations were finished with plenty of time to spare and the dress fit me like a glove. It was absolutely perfect. I recommend Charlotte and her work 100%. Charlotte is a life saver!!! Long story short, I am from California and getting married in Mexico and made a pit stop in Fort Myers for Thanksgiving. When I picked up my wedding dress from the alterations place in California, they were done poorly and I didn't have time to have her fix them. I obviously panicked. But Charlotte to the rescue. I found her and Perfect Fit on Yelp and just walked in on a Tuesday morning and asked if she could get my alterations done in less then a week for me to leave for my wedding. Great alteration shop find. I took a one-pice bathing suit to Perfect Fit Alterations and Charlotte did a great job helping fit it to me. I'm short and one-piece suits are made for taller women with bigger butts. Try as I might I can never find a one-pice suit that doesn't make me look like I have a saggy diaper on. She was able to take up the extra material and remove and replace the elastic around both legs. I was very pleased and am now receiving compliments on my cute new suit! read more

Pleased with what I asked for. I came to Perfect Fit only 3 weeks before my wedding day! I was in need of letting out the seams in my hip area, as my dress is form fitting to the knees and all satin, there was no stretching this fabric. These hips of mine made it so that this was the only way I was going to be able to sit down for dinner haha. I came in for a free fitting and consultation where she told me exactly what I would need (release hip seams and add bussels for my train). She took a little over 2 weeks, but we had one more fitting in that time. I payed her cash upon final pickup and it was the amount we agreed upon on the first day we consulted. I payed under $300 which seemed reasonable to me considering the timeframe I allotted her. She was really knowledgeable, sweet, and met my expectations. I was very disappointed in the workmanship I truly don't think the person who worked on my skirt and slacks was a experienced seamstress. I have seen better work at a 7th grader home economics 101 class. My white slacks seams were taken in and all extra material was left on showing through to the other side, threads were broken and cut edges were left to unravel. The skirt hem was all puckery and when I turned the hem inside out the stitching was sloppy with broken threads...not professional at all. It's almost like it's a training center for seamstress "want to be's". I will never ever take anything there not even if was free! read more

I didn't have a great experience. Here's what happened: I brought in a dress to have taken in, paid for the alteration and was told it would be ready by Thursday. I asked about the shorts I had on, got them measured, and was told to come drop later, and that the waist needed to be taken in 1 3/4 inches. I emailed the owner that evening asking if I could drop off the shorts the next day to be ready that Friday ( the day before I left for vacation) and was told, I'm sure we could work something out and bring them in ASAP. The following day I went into the shop to drop off the shorts and the owner had no idea what I was talking about. She told me her son runs her email account and hasn't passed along the message. She measured the shorts and said the needed to be taken in 1 inch ( 3/4 inch difference since the previous day). They wouldn't be ready in time for my vacation, so I skipped it and followed up on my dress. The owner didn't remember me and told me she never takes a payment upfront. I pulled up my bank statement to show her she had charged me $26. She looked in back twice and them had me follow her into the back to point out the dress. After I identified it, I was told it would be ready Tuesday. I reminded her we agreed on Thursday. I went back to pick up the dress and tried it on. It had a small bubble on one side, so she took it in back to fix it. I was anxious to get out of there so after it was fixed, I took my dress and left. I didn't put it on until I was going to dinner one night and noticed there was now also a bubble on the other side. I thought she fixed it, but now I had matching bubbles on either side of the dress. I paid $26 to have my dress look far worse than it did originally. I've read many positive reviews here, but my experience was that the shop owner is disorganized and overworked. I would be more than happy to update my review if she offered to make this right. read more

One week out from an out-of-town wedding, I tried on my bridesmaid dress to find it would not go over my hips. I was so stressed out and went to another place, after being referred by a coworker. Received horrible service today. I've been here before and they did a great job and I recommend them because of it, but I went today to bring in 2 rompers that just needed the zipper replace, I even brought in 1 of the zippers and she wanted $25 for each zipper replaced. I a's lo brought in another romper that needed a zipper put in the back, where there is an existing seam, so that it's easier to slip on and take out the 2 seams at each side and leave the edge seam and just reinforce them, she wanted $48 for thst and then told me she didn't want to do it because she didn't want to spend so much time on her machine! Isn't this what they do?????? I was in shock at how rude she was. I guess she doesn't need the work when she's turning down even putting 2 zippers on. Went to Nu Image and she was very nice and said no problem to all 3 pieces and gave me a great price. read more

When I originally took my wedding dress in for an estimate she only needed to take the dress in 1 dress size but when it came time for the alterations to actually happen, it needed to come in 2 dress sizes and Charlotte handled it with such grace. Charlotte was recommended to me and I am so glad I chose her to alter my wedding dress! She was so sweet and helpful through the entire process. Luckily I only needed hemming done, but Charlotte went above and beyond by helping me with an accessory dilemma. The color of the sash belt I bought to go with my dress didn't quite look right, and she made the great suggestion of replacing the tie with the fabric we were removing from the hem so that it matched the dress, which turned out better than I could have imagined! This is an awful place to get alterations done. I do not know why it has such high reviews because the job was done terribly. I tried to get cups put into my bridesmaids dress and she gave me cups that were too small for me. When I asked if there was anything else she said that is the biggest size she had. The cups were uneven when I picked the dress up and she tried to move them but it still was not right. I had to pay $31 for this terrible job and I know it looks awful. The stitching looks like it was done by a child and I could have youtubed how to do this better than she did it. I also saw someone else in front of me asking for their money back for a job she did and she refused to give it. I took the dress to Remy's Tailor on South Tamiami Trail just now . Claudette is amazing and is ordering me foam cups that actually fit me that do not have padding because I do not need that. The job is going to cost $18 dollars as opposed to $31. I WISH I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK! Bottom line, do not waste your time here, go to Remy's Tailor and you will NOT be disappointed! read more
