One told us he had only been working as a mover for two days. They also repeatedly said they were not provided the equipment needed to work efficiently -- only one dolly and no proper way to protect mirrors or TVs -- so several items were not moved at all. Since we were paying by the hour, I don't believe we should be responsible for extra time caused by the company failing to properly equip its crew. My wife and I ended up moving a large portion of our belongings ourselves just to keep things moving. Everything was already packed and ready to go, and even after picking up items from storage, the 26-foot truck was only about 3/4 full. Despite that, they estimated another 3.5 hours just to unload and initially quoted us around $1,800. They finished around 2:30 PM but attempted to record the finish time as 3:00 PM, which I had to dispute. I still paid about $1,300. The damage was even worse. My wife's brand-new entry table was broken after my heavy workbench was not properly secured in the truck and shifted during transit. Our brand-new mattress and box springs were left covered in dirt and stains because they were not wrapped or protected properly. Several dishes were also broken, and there was damage to the walls and stairs in our brand-new home. What should have made our move easier left us doing much of the work ourselves and spending the entire weekend finishing the move while caring for two toddlers. For the price we paid, I expected a trained, properly equipped crew that could move our belongings safely and efficiently. That is not what we received. I would not use All My Sons again and would not recommend them to friends or family.

Unprofessional behavior from movers…read more This was a terrible and traumatic experience! I hired this company's service on October 22, the last week. I moved from Ballantyne, NC, to South Park, NC. They didn't complete the move until the next day. They had to return to the residence because they lost the hardware from one bed. Also, they left items without wrapping. The next day, when they came back, once they had installed it, one of the guys asked for pay, and my card was declined because of my change in the zip code. There were three workers here, and there was no supervisor. Ok. So, when my card was declined, I called my husband, and he tried to give them a credit card number over the phone. They could not take that, and they became hostile. The guy insisted that he wanted the card physically. So, they said my husband needed to come here and give them the card. He was at a job site and could not leave. So, the guy started yelling at me and threatened to take my stuff. He walked room by room, looking at what he could take. They were three guys against two women. I said to the guy to leave my house. He refused to leave because he wanted to take my stuff, so I ran to the door to stop him from taking my belongings. My cousin called my husband, crying and looking at the situation. The guy was trying to intimidate me, so I called the police, and he decided to leave, but I stopped him because he had taken my stuff and was waiting for the police. The guy was out of control. My husband talked to the owner, and he told him to leave. We paid the bill for the move on Saturday morning, which was over $5000. I feel now traumatized by the situation. I feel like I was assaulted in my own house. You know how much stress it is to move from one place to another and care about your belongings. That's because we hired a service that says it is " professional." That was a big mistake; they are not what they say. For this horrible experience, I never recommend this company. After using You Move Me for multiple moves over the years I hate to do this, but this most recent…read moremove (within 15 minutes of each home) was one of the worst I have experienced. And, too be honest I was going with a two, but going to average my previous 5 star review hence the 3 stars. Scheduling went well, boxes were delivered for me to pack, but the day of the delivery is inexcusable. Three gentlemen showed up, one lead man, and when I walked him to my 1 bedroom apartment and showed them what I was moving, including the boxes "I" packed, not them, dining room table, couch, one chair, bed and dresser and a chair. Pretty simple. The lead laughed and said "I love when they give me two guys for a simple job". From there, they took their sweet time, almost 3 hours or more. Crazy! We continued to ask what was taking so long and nothing, in turn I reached out to the Owner, who somewhat listened, but was not in the apartment to know how long things were taking. Needless to say they were not too happy that I called the boss and things went downhill from there. When we arrived at my new home, they damaged walls, floor, broke a mirror and had slashed two of my boxes with a knife, all over. Not acceptable. And, they had the audacity to say the box was like that. Ah, no it wasn't because I packed the boxes. Hopefully I won't be moving anytime soon, but if so, it is time to find another company.

At checkout, the clerk charged $47.99. When he questioned her she said "no, I show $47.99." He bought it, but I would not have paid that extra $6. Bad business and I won't go back.
