We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

As the morning went on, it seemed to fill up fast so I recommend making a reservation. Vibes: Bright, airy space decorated with lots of plants. There were many tables available including 4 swing seats by the bar. Very cute inside! Bathrooms are downstairs. Street parking only. Service: For a party of 12, our servers provided great and quick service. Food: -Cold Brew ($6) with Sweet Cream ($1): it seemed that the cream curdled in the drink. The taste was okay but it got the job done. -Breakfast Bowl ($24): braised beef short rib with 2 poached eggs on a bed of caramelized onion fried potatoes. Large serving, it was perfect to share with 2-3 people. -Kale Caesar ($19): topped with cheese croutons which were interesting. Also great to share with 2 people. Overall: Porch is a cute brunch place that can fit a large party. If you're looking for an aesthetic place, I recommend this place!

My friends and I got and shared the Katsu udon, classic gyu don, and karaage curry. Every single dish was a banger; I especially loved the gyu don with perfectly seasoned beef and the rice soaking up the sauce. I liked that each dish came with a couple side dishes like tofu, tempura egg, or miso soup. Everything was priced around $18-23. The service was also very friendly; we raved about how delicious the food was, and our server seemed delighted to hear that. So here's your chance to go try the food out and tell her the same thing!

I've been thinking of this meal over the past few days, and with me returning home, I had to be sure to have one more meal there before my departure. The location is small, but cozy. I plan on going back many times in the future.

I ordered the Spot On Burger which is an AAA Certified Alberta Angus Beef and includes lettuce, tomato, onion and spicy mayo for a cost of $17.99. The burger was a hand-crafted beef patty that was juicy and delicious. The bun was fresh as well as the toppings. I would give this burger a 9/10 and look forward to the next time I have it, as I want to dine it for the next burger experience. I highly recommend this burger at Spot On. Second visit in September I had previous placed only orders for pickup from Spot On, however this time I dined in for lunch in early September. I ordered the California Dream Salad with chicken. The cost was $18.98, and was okay, nothing to write home about. This is the second time I have had a salad at Spot On, however I cannot recommend any of the salads, the other items I had here were good, don't come here for salads. Third visit in September I placed an order for pickup from Spot On in early September. I ordered the Chuck Wagon Chicken Sandwich which is a BBQ marinated chicken, cheddar cheese, maple peppered bacon, fried crispy onion strings, spicy mayo, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun for a cost of $18.99. The chicken sandwich was hefty in size and equally delicious. I highly recommend Chuck Wagon Chicken Sandwich at Spot On.

They offer two fresh soups every day which are clearly not canned and made from scratch. They also offer a different special every day of the week that can be supplemented with a salad or a small soup. These specials range from clubhouse sandwiches, to spring roll on vermicelli, to mac n' cheese (scratch made). One of my go-to places for lunches and as a soup connoisseur they are able to beat out most places by providing homemade soups instead of the typical generic Campbell's stuff you find in most delis. One thing I would like is for them to switch up and try their hand at making other soups because I have been here so many times the soups are getting slightly old (but still tastier and better value than Sunterra) TLDR: Soups good, specials can be good, sandwiches fresh, salad available.

Given the high ratings on Yelp and Google, I was quite excited to see what they had to offer. We were greeted warmly when we walked in, and we were given two menus: one called Big Fish which contained seafood dishes and one called Open Range which contained meat dishes. A bit of a strange concept, I thought, almost like two restaurants in one. We started with the seafood appy platter, which was alright. The smoked salmon was a bit leathery, but the scallops were cooked beautifully. I liked the chutney and tartar sauce as well. For my main, I ordered the pork chop with a sweet potato hash and mushroom risotto ($49). Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The pork chop was quite overcooked and almost tough to eat, and the risotto had the texture of fried rice. The flavors were fine, but the execution of the dish impacted my eating experience so much that it was hard to look past that. We chose not to stay for dessert, as we were a bit wary at that point, but I really hope this was just an off day, as the ideas behind the dishes have great potential--they just need a bit more precision on execution.
