The driver notified me of their ETA along the way, and they arrived with their big truck and equipment on time. Tirelessly, they worked the day into the evening helping to pack and move us to our new space a few miles away. The quote was less than anticipated. Our cash payment was received with a significant ($150) discount; something to be considered. Our furniture - heavy, tall, solid wood furnishings were taken from our old space, transported and delivered exactly to where we desired them in our new place without a scratch or dent to them or the areas they were moved through. What could be disassembled was disassembled, and reassembled perfectly. They took two very short breaks during this multi-hour job, and so did we! The ultimate price point again was very reasonable. Were they careful with our items? Yes. But...then, we had a few hiccups, of which the last was the one that would make me not recommend their services to others. Things that went wrong: 1.They arrived late. We did receive phone calls updating us, but still was frustrating as we expected to be done moving by the evening. 2. They showed up with 3 movers and we were apparently quoted for 2 movers. At no point was it asked if it was ok, or anything, and it wasn't mentioned until we were discussing payment, and Carlos told us that the discount from Angie's List included only 2 movers. 3. Carlos and his team didn't have the supplies to wrap furniture and didn't have enough moving blankets. In fact, as they unloaded the truck, I noticed that they used some of our throw blankets to protect the furniture without asking if that was ok. 4. Their truck wasn't big enough to fit all of our items in one trip. We were moving from a smaller house about 750 sq ft. We were asked over the phone how big our house was and approximately how many boxes we had. Carlos and his team made one trip with a full truck. Then we filled our cars and still had to go back the next day for the rest of our stuff. He offered that they would go make another trip for the rest of the items for the additional hourly charge. 5. Payment - this was the one that killed it for us. As others have mentioned, we were quoted an affordable price over the phone. We had a discount through Angie's List. The woman on the phone told us that we would be able to use that discount and quoted us accordingly. When all was said and done and it was time to pay, Carlos told us it was going to be $400 over what was quoted to us. We talked to him about it and he was not budging on what was quoted over the phone vs what he was charging us. We tried to negotiate since they were late and ran out of supplies at their previous job and since we had to load our cars with items and still go back for the rest. He would not compromise, and actually was upset that we were even questioning the issue. I have no problem paying for good service. I have no problem tipping for good service (I still tipped his team even though Carlos screwed us on pricing). I do have a problem with being quoted one amount and then being told to pay a DRASTICALLY DIFFERENT amount. He even had the audacity to ask us not to write a poor review. He clearly knows that what he is doing is wrong. Yes, he and his team work hard, but he should be upfront about the cost. It is not ok to quote one price and have such a large difference between your quote and actual cost. Customer service goes a long way, but he and his company certainly lacked in that area.

I spoke to Clarence who identified himself not as the owner but as the manager (more on that…read morelater). The initial Red Flag was during the conversation I mentioned the need for certain documentation from him to go forward (Basically licensing information, and Insurance Information) as asking for a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is INDUSTRY STANDARD for a move like this. I received IMMEDIATE Push Back and was told that I didnt need said information and that I could get his licensing and bonding information from LARA (Michigan Licensing And Regulatory Affaris) which I did: [Federal License: They hold a valid federal license under USDOT #2303845] and their other license [They are registered as a domestic profit corporation in Michigan (ID: 800705051)] What i couldn't get is Bonding and or the COI ...which i need to protect ny inventory and myself from damage, and or loss. As I said this is Industry standard. I explained this to Clarence and was told that I would recieve that information at a later time after further discussions. Fast forward I talked to Clarence yesterday to confirm that he would recieve an inventory list by no later than close of Business today 5/8/2026 !! He's assured me at the time of our last phone call that that was suitable. We stayed late into the evening yesterday creating an itemized inventory list for Clarence.....only to be told today that he couldn't do it because he has another big move scheduled for "The Government" i dont know how true this is but I find it highly suspicious that 1) he did t call this morning to let us know that he couldn't complete the move which most assuredly could be the case......but in the name of professionalism and the time we have spent on the phone wouldn't it be standard to let us know? Secondly in MY OPINION I think he didnt like the verbiage that was used in the inventory email j. That it specifically asked again for the COI, and ending information as is STANDARD in this business. in our first conversation he told me that he had never been asked for that type of information before and I explained to him at that point, that when doing business with multi million dollar businesses you have to do everything right, he then went kn to tell me how many rich people from the lions and mentioned doing a move for the Taubman estate etc....which is fine but asking for a COI is standard......I feel as if Clarence is operating without being Bonded or without the proper insurance to protect not only the belongings of my company but of anybody he is moving. Again this is my opinion based off of my conversations with him and his subversive responses. He may very well have these very important documents and insurance im not saying that he doesn't what I am saying is that people need to be careful. He has cause me to lose valuable time. I scheduled a move and Sarah accommodated my last minute scheduling. Sarah sent the POWER TEAM of Demetrius and Demetrio, whom I have affectionately nicknamed The DOUBLE D's (LOL). Demetrius and Demetrio arrived slightly early and ready to go to work! I had most of my things already packed in storage containers on wheels and few other things in boxes. Demetrius and Demetrio moved my items from the house to the deck off the backyard onto the truck and they were prepared with all the equipment necessary (ramps, bumper pads, etc) to make the move smooth, efficient and to prevent damage to my things. These two moved so quickly, I was amazed and couldn't pack my remaining things fast enough! They were willing to wait for me to pack or they offered to take my things as is but I had them take what was already packed. We met at my storage unit which on this day was surprisingly packed with people and other moving companies moving in. Demetrius and Demetrio engaged with the other movers and all were respectful to them during our move. Demetrius and Demetrio packed my unit as requested and they packed and stacked EVERYTHING SO VERY NEATLY and with care for my items. EVERYTHING was totally organized! Nothing could have gone any smoother than this move! The price value to book my last minute move was very good for me and I tipped them both as EVERYONE should do with professional movers such as these two. When I returned back to the house, it wasn't until the packed items had been moved that I realized how much MORE packing I still needed to do, so I text Sarah to schedule a FINAL move for 2 days later and I specifically requested Demetrius and Demetrio (The Double D's). Even on such short notice, Sarah made it happen and scheduled me. Again, Demetrius and Demetrio showed up on time even during a rain storm with high winds...ready to work and help me move all my things out. Again, they both setup my items in the house to move quickly during this rain storm and by the time they finished setup, the storm stopped and they moved everything out. I shed tears of HAPPINESS at how clean and empty it was in there when they were done. After they moved those items into storage, I again tipped them both because they were worth it!
