Went here during a dance competition. The beer is decent and the bar is nice, but their 'food.' Is a food truck that serves elf sized expensive tacos. They need to partner with a different vendor for food and have that be a more cohesive process. Right now it's super clunky. Perfect Plain is a non pretentious brewery with an open warehouse atmosphere that has garage doors that open up to historic Garden St PP preserves that throwback era of communal gatherings with long tables that invite strangers to become friends. It's dog friendly and you feel like you are part of the brewing process with the 10+ barrels in open space around you. The Taproom and craft beer in my own opinion has the best flavor of the 3 in Pensacola. If you're an Ale, IPA or Double IPA fan then do yourself a favor drop by PP and get yourself a flight, enjoy the friendly staff and take home a sealed growler can to go. read more

I just recently moved to Pensacola and I will preface this by saying I am the kind who enjoys the familiarity of a local bar. I like walking into my favorite bar and being "one of the regulars" and this is easily already one of my favorite places in the area. The service is top notch. The bartenders have been nothing but friendly, welcoming, and the most accommodating. As a server/bartender myself I think it's very important to be able to give your guests the full experience of enjoying their time, the bartenders do a fantastic job at having fun with the bar while still remaining professional and attentive. They have the coolest brewery vibe inside and dogs ARE allowed inside which I think is amazing especially for the chilly months. Beer and wine from what I've gathered is only served inside but perfectly enough there is a big beautiful open yet intimate outside courtyard with a full bar an extensive menu of some of the most creative and diverse cocktails I've enjoyed ordering! Another one of the many things I love is how they sell their merch for you to purchase. I had to buy one of their sweatshirts ($50) and it's definitely already my favorite it's so comfy! The food truck was the best touch! I will say I was skeptical of it at first but was blown away when I waited only 10 short minutes for my food. I got veggie tacos and chips with 3 different kinds of salsa, some guacamole, and queso. Everything was cooked right then and there and came out without any problems and tasted phenomenal. Well it's finally here and I couldn't be more excited. Since perfect plain opened last week I've visited several times. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, the staff are friendly and attentive, their branding is modern and well suited to such a hip new product, not to mention that the beer is the best in Pensacola and as good as many larger craft breweries all over the country right out of the gate. On my first night in I was able to try all six beers that were on tap and today I was able to sample their new addition , Holy Spin. I definitely like some more than others but can happily and honestly say that I was impressed with the quality of every single one. You can tell the brewers are passionate about quality and have the skills to back that passion. I look forward to years of drinking and hanging out at perfect plain. Cheers guys! I wanted to throw my boyfriend a going away party and Perfect Plain was the perfect place! I absolutely love the atmosphere and vibe that it has. It's very subtle lighting, some nice barrels of beer and some industrial furniture pieces to help tie together the look. They also have a taco truck out on the back patio and the food is absolutely amazing!! It was a really rainy night when the party was thrown but it was a weekday night so not too crowded and we were able to kind of spread out. I really love the doors that open to the street so you get that inside/outside feel. Their bar was very comfortable and their menu was very easy to read. I tried a few of their beers and everything was delicious, there was no bad choice. They also had some t-shirts, sweaters, and hats that you could buy with different designs and the material of everything was so buttery soft. Beer selection was good but tastes overall mediocre. Bar keep wasn't overly friendly to a couple of baby boomers, even after we tried initiating conversation. 'Charles' was much more interested in taking care of the 4 younger folks who came in after us and were buying him shots of tequila. Back garden area was probably the best. One of my three favorite breweries in Pensacola and the one I visit the most. I have been a regular since they opened and all the staff from the owners to the bar backs take their time to chat with me. If you want a place with a cool vibe this is the place for you. I recently went in for a beer. In the pas I have had nothing but great experiences with Perfect Plain; great beer and friendly staff. I went this on a saturday afternoon and had two beers. The bartender took my empty glass after my second beer, never asking me if i would like another one. I figured he may have things to attend to but went to socialize with the other bartender who just came in for their shift. Two guests were served next to me as well as someone else next to me. 30 minutes later, amongst the bartenders talking about the game on the big screen, I was asked if i wanted another. I asked for my tab. Again, god beer great environment, but may just be younger bartenders tending their friends and the younger crowd. I have gone other times, and the bartender (not the same) has been attentive to the bar and not socializing and the game that was on. read more

My wife and I came here and were planning on sitting outside in the shade with a, literal, hot dog and get him water when a staff member said it was fine to sit inside. It was great to be able to let the dog cool down in the corner in an A/C building, and even had some dog bowls in case you forget your own. Don't bring your aggressive dog and ruin it for everyone though. Been here a handful of times and is by far my favorite brewery in Pensacola and reminds me of breweries in the Northwest, they even happen have a food cart out front. Don't come here expecting gross massed produced beer, only craft beer that take some real skill to brew. My recommendations: 1) Have a designated order area. People have to squeeze between the bar chairs and two people to get a beer, which is a terrible place to spill a beer. 2) It's a fairly large floor area and I think this place may soon get too busy. I've already seen it where near the bar area has people standing shoulder to shoulder in groups and would be unbearable if it were like that all the way back to the bathroom. Maybe add a few tables to mitigate it? I dunno, I don't own a business. I just don't want to weave through people to get a beer or go to the bathroom. read more

I loved the ambiance of this place. It's industrial but manages to be homey with both indoor and outdoor seating. The name is based on a quote from Andrew Jackson's wife & her portrait is on the wall - the history nerd in me . The beers were good and they had some range - sours and ales. As much as I love breweries, this one was decent when it came to their selection, but their decor and rustic/modern vibe was pretty cool. I didn't enjoy having to walk behind the bar, through their "supply room", and to the very back corner of their establishment to find the women's restroom, but it wasn't life altering by any means...just not appealing. The men's room is right out front with no detours. We were a group of 4 women who drink beer, but enough about the loo. This place is just off the main street of downtown Pensacola which isn't bad in terms of location. Overall, it was just a mediocre visit. read more

We went here based on a suggestion from someone and we were pleasantly surprised. They had a good amount of beer selections and all 6 we tried were good. Nate was super cool and highly attentive. Knows his stuff about beer and made great suggestions based on what we told him our taste was.
