As someone born in Germany, I was really excited to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! First - everyone was so nice!!' . The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere: German . The owner, who served our potato pancakes took time to chat with us. And yes- even though they are not like our German grandma's- they were so good!! I had the Currywurst, and my husband ordered the Jägerschnitzel. Both were so good, and brought back memories of Germany. The place was packed around 6pm - and we were glad that we arrived right before the big rush! We had an amazing evening and will definitely return when we're in the Pensacola area. Prost!

We had a fun dinner experience here! The decor and vibes in here are a nice touch. The team was hustling too! It was a busy night on Palafox when we came in and they handled the rush with grace and ease. We started off with the giant pretzel and that was great. The cheese sauce was incredible as well. For my main, I ordered the Reuben and it was only okay, not too much to write home about. They chopped the meat on the sandwich, which was odd and contributed to less than awesome sandwich. The beers were fine, but if you don't like German/Belgian beers, you'll be disappointed. This is a cool spot, we'll probably come back and I'll order something different.

I've been here twice now. The drinks are pretty good and I think fairly priced. Service is friendly, but seems a little slow . 1st time I had wings and bruschetta. The wings were very good! The bruschetta was just okay. It was more deconstructed. 2nd time around we ordered the Hawaiian pizza. It was just okay for me. I think I was expecting to be wowed. It was just flat. Fresh, hot, and the crust was nice.. it was just missing a zing. I think we will visit again, but not order the Hawaiian pizza again!

Bavaria is our go to spot for great German beers and their giant pretzel, but for some reason we don't often stay for dinner and that's a mistake. The beer and the pretzel are top notch but don't sleep on the dinner entrees because they are fantastic! For dinner, on our last visit we had the Nurnburger plate, Rahmschnitzel, and the Garlic Parm Chicken spätzle. All three were delicious and extremely filling with sausages and schnitzel delivering authentic with the spätzle providing a huge, mouthwatering flavor profile. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is a blend of Bavaria with NW Florida charm. I highly recommend a visit in the near future.

One of the best on Palafox. The food is delicious from the pizza, snitzel, and especially the wings! The staff is always so friendly and Ryan is the best bartender. Must check out for some awesome food and a great experience!

This little restaurant fills the air with deliciousness & it feels like home. Every time we dine here we are greeted & treated like family. We would like to thank Lauren for her hospitality while dinning. If you have not tried this amazing food you should. You will be torn between pizza or German food but it's ok you can have both. We order the Dieci Special we remove the sausage and add prosciutto, balsamic glaze, garlic oil with truffle oil. With Fall they have a Pumpkin Strudel which my husband had to have so naturally I got the chocolate cake which is so delicious. Thank You Bavaria

A little stop for some food after taking around. Server seemed a little occupied with something else and was not as attentive as we thought she should be. Great German beers on tap. The food was alright. Wife loved the caprese sandwich. The sausage and Schnitzel was a little lacking overall a good place to stop. PS looks like it would be a great Saturday night drinking spot.

We were in the area for lunch and had already eaten, but stopped in for a cold beer. Absolutely delicious beers and an amazing big pretzel. We are definitely coming back for dinner and I will repost at that time, but I can tell you this has been a great experience from the staff to the atmosphere to the beer to the pretzel

We visited the Bavarian menu and enjoyed the sausage sampler, very yummy! Really enjoyed the gravy! Then later we tried the Italian side of the menu! Also delicious! We enjoyed the Sophia Loren Pizza! Decent list German beer, and a nice list of wines.

Wyndie and I went here a couple of weeks ago and I really don't know what to say. The service and atmosphere were great! The food to be honest was not my cup of tea. The potato cakes were great but the chicken sandwich not so much. I went for the pizza but Wyndie decided she wanted to try something different so I'm going to keep my opinion to myself until I try the pizza!

After living in Germany, I was excited to try this authentic german restaurant in Pensacola. It did not disappoint! There is tons of seating, so we didn't have to wait even though it was pretty busy. Our waiter was nice and knowledgeable. We started with some big german beers and the giant pretzel. So good!! The brussel sprouts were also delicious. We tried a few pizzas and other entrees. The front part of the restaurant was a little loud, but the back seating by the pizza oven is better. Definitley recommend!

She was so welcoming and thanked us for allowing her to serve us. Ambiance reminded me of Germany, as the owner had lived there for years and brought it to Niceville with her. Food was great, schnitzel was perfect, just like back in Germany. Our son had the Jaeger Schnitzel, my wife had the plain Schnitzel and I went for the Bangkok Schnitzel, all three were on point, our daughter went for the Currywurst which was a good level of spice. My Bangkok Schnitzel had a Thai Curry sauce and pineapples, it was a nice fusion. The bread was homemade and we ordered a second basket, because who doesn't love a great homemade bread? He ordered the jagerschnitzel with spaetzle and mushroom gravy, and had enough to bring some back to the condo. He proclaimed it very tasty and five-worthy, in his opinion. We also shared a pretzel with cheese sauce, and they gave us some delicious tasting homemade bread. The unsweetened iced tea tasted delicious once the pink stuff was added, and that's only saying something because you wouldn't believe how often the iced tea stinks in restaurants. They had next to nothing for vegetarians, since they seem to enjoy putting bacon in everything. Why? They kindly swapped the Swiss cheese (blech) in the kasespatzle for Alfredo sauce, and I got a cute salad plate too. It tasted fine, I had no complaints. I would like to point out that, according to the interwebs, "In 2022, about 8.12 million people in Germany identified as either vegetarians or largely forgo meat consumption." Meat substitutes like quorn are quite facile to work with, and make excellent meat substitutes in traditional dishes. Try it!

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!

We got here mid-afternoon on a weekday so as expected it wasn't very busy which was great for us since we had plenty of time to meet the staff and owner and got a little history of this establishment and of course partake in some delicious german cuisine and for me a taste of the ice cold german beers on tap. This is a beautiful venue and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. I'm definitely not an axe thrower but I do have a palette for delicious german food and I'm definitely a self-proclaimed expert beer drinker. After spending some time in Germany I developed a love for German Beer so I wasn't going to waste this opportunity to enjoy a few of my favorites, the BitBurger Pilsner and Hofbrau Dunkel Lager which never disappoints - The menu is filled with authentic offerings that made choosing a little difficult for me I wanted a taste of everything. We started with an amazing pretzel and bier cheese soooo yummy and so big there's plenty to share, we also ordered the Rueben and Brat with fried potatoes everything was perfectly executed so my hats off to the kitchen. This was a wonderful experience, a very comfortable setting and great conversation with everyone that makes this place great, we can't wait to return on our next trip to the area and I've already discussed with Barrett that we'll have a toast with a few cold ones then - I can't wait, you definitely need to bookmark this one...
