I've been ordering from Perfect Prey since 2015, mostly small rats and adult mice. I'm not ordering particularly high or low volume, half a year to a year & a half's worth at a time for an average of six snakes. The word "perfect" is apt. Every order has been shipped promptly, well-packaged, and has arrived frozen with at least a little dry ice left as a buffer. The rodents have always been of the right size, well-organized and tidy in vacuum-sealed packages, clean, and fresh. Absolutely no complaints, I cannot recommend them too highly. So long as I have snakes to feed and the staff at Perfect Prey maintain their current high standards, I will keep buying from them and have no reason to consider anyone else. I ordered from Perfect Prey about a week ago now, after having a horrible experience with another reptile retailer. I hadn't received my shipping info yet (though they said they had shipped it out). I emailed them asking for the tracking number, not realizing anything was "wrong," and got an email back pretty quickly telling me that for some reason my box was lost -- but that they'd ship out another! Today I received my mice, they were still totally frozen, and packaged REALLY well. The mice appear to be exactly what I ordered. These guys will be my new go-to for frozen mice, because of their reasonable prices, and wonderful communication. This was my second order from Perfect Prey and I couldn't be happier. Their mice are a good size and packaged incredibly well. FedEx missed service on the package but when I unwrapped it, it still had a huge chunk of dry ice inside and the mice were solidly frozen. I had used a competitor in between because PP was out of the size I needed at the time, but the vaccuum on the competitor package was faulty and by the time I needed the mice (a month later) they were starting to smell and my snake refused them. Plus the competitor's mice were half the size of the PP mice for the same type (hoppers). So even though the competitor has a good reputation, I will always go with Perfect Prey. PS. I don't know why it said I was in San Francisco when I am actually located in Missouri. Gotta love the internet. read more

I've ordered from Perfect Prey a few times now and I've been pleased with every order! I've ordered both f/t mice and rats and both came frozen solid, thanks to the meticulous packaging! The first time I ordered from them I was at work when my package was delivered, and the box remained frozen even after my 8 hour shift! No qualms with the quality either - Sunfyre never turns his nose up at Perfect Prey's rodents :3 It was important for me to source his food from a company that treats its feeders well, and their website details how each animal is given an exceptional life just as pets. It arrived on a Friday and I emailed Monday only to be told that since I no longer had the packaging/mice to send a photo of and didn't email them immediately, there was nothing they could do. Excellent quality frozen rodents for feeders. Humanely processed, clean, organized trays. The contents were well packaged in dry ice and arrived frozen during a heatwave. Very professional and well worth the shipping fee. My local supplier became unreliable, so I tried this business after reading their testimonials. I wish I could leave a review on their website/social media because I just have to rave about this company. I went with a more "popular" company my first time purchasing bulk, and was relatively unimpressed, especially when one of my snakes refused to eat. I later emailed Perfect Prey and inquired to see if their mice were "drained of blood," as I noticed the aforementioned company's mice had cut limbs/tails and no blood once thawed. Perfect Prey emailed the next day and explained that some company's do this (I forget the term for it), but that they do not. I then decided to purchase from Perfect Prey, and by God, I will never go with another company. My order came in 2 days, still frozen solid. Another plus was that I was able to order a small pack of 10 mice of a different size instead of a larger pack; I did this to test out the sizes of their mice and "preplan" what size to purchase next. Additionally, when I thaw Perfect Prey mice, I notice they they have an extremely strong "mouse scent" which is a huge plus for my picky eater. I weighed their mice a few times and every single one was basically the same size. It's great that I don't have to decide which of my snakes gets the "bigger" meal now. I personally think their prices and package sizes are GREAT and shipping is reasonable (I don't think cheap shipping for frozen thaw mice exist). 10/10 would recommend to anyone who feeds frozen thaw rodents. read more

Please do not use this service! the products are horribly inconsistent in size and quality and the staff is extremely rude when you try to express your concerns. Do not waste your time or money because if you do get lucky and receive halfway decent feeders it takes a week to receive them. I am located in Florida as are they and about 2 hours away from their shipping location and after paying the ridiculous $17.50 for overnight delivery on December 14 it is now December 20 and i have not received my order. When i contacted them they said that while the website says it is next day that doesn't really mean next day. Do not post information on your websites shipping page if you know it is inaccurate. My order was placed before end of business day on Wednesday as per their policy i was told that i should have sent it out earlier in the day as if i am a mind reader! if there is a cut off time to order then post that information on your shipping policy page. To make things worse they decided to wait until the following Monday to even send it to fed ex instead of utilizing the 3 other normal delivery days that fed ex ships on. Anyone who has purchased frozen feeders know they are time sensitive and when you order them its for a reason, THIS IS MY PETS FOOD! not like i can run to the corner store and grab some and if i did have a local pet food store i really wouldn't have thought there was a need seeing how the website says it is next day. Maybe a courtesy email telling me that do to time constraints i would not receive my order for 6 days so i could cancel and purchase them elsewhere! read more
