Our son wanted a sort of faux hawk. Short on the side, longer on the top. Nothing crazy. A very common cut for 7 year olds. My husband took him, showed the barber the picture, and tried his best to explain what our son wanted. As soon as the barber started cutting, my husband was nervous. It's extremely extremely short. Nothing like what he wanted. It also wasn't an inexpensive cut, cheaper than what we normally pay, but not worth $26 before tip at all. My husband said the owner was doing an interview and once it concluded, he came out and turned on music that was filled with curse words. I curse like a sailor, but not in a family setting. We will never go back. I'm not sure if the guy was new and just wasn't sure how to cut my son's hair, but all I can say is thank god his hair grows fast and he doesn't have school until Wednesday because it's not great looking. While we won't be going back, the actions of the owner show that he's a really good guy and it was just a mistake.

Mahshid had a last-minute opening, and I booked it because I needed an experienced corrective-color specialist. Mahshid's technical skill was clear from the beginning. She quickly identified what needed to be corrected and explained the plan in a way that made sense. She did a root melt, added lowlights, adjusted the tone, and cut my hair so everything blended naturally again. The difference was significant, and the final result looked intentional, full of dimension, and much healthier. Sophie supported the entire process by keeping everything organized, assisting hands-on, checking in with me regularly, and coordinating each step so the appointment ran smoothly. Her attention to detail made a longer service feel so manageable. Ella was also assisting and shadowing and she was so sweet and kind, besides being super gentle while combing and blow drying my hair. I'd also like to acknowledge Nia, who did my consultation the week before. She gave me an honest assessment and encouraged me to take the opening with Mahshid since her own next availability was farther out. That transparency helped me make the right decision.
