*Long review, but worth the read*…read more We received bids from multiple contractors to remodel our our house. Picking a contractor can be stressful. Most of my neighbors had complaints about different contractors they used. Our remodel included full kitchen, laying wood tile flooring throughout the house, painting, closing off double doors to an office/bedroom & re-locating a single door to office/bedroom in the hallway. We later added remodeling our wood burning fireplace. JDS wont be the most expensive and they wont be the cheapest. However, keep in mind you get what you pay for. On the date and time of our estimate appointment, Michelle promptly arrived on time. After explaining our vision, she immediately took measurements and began working on our estimate. We received the estimate from her within a day of our appointment. After reviewing all the bids from multiple contractors, we asked Jeff (owner) to visit our house to speak more in depth about our vision for the remodel. Jeff is a professional guy with a keen eye for making the vision we had come to life. Jeff is the kind of man where a "handshake" has meaning and integrity behind it. It was immediately apparent he is passionate about what he does. After speaking with Jeff, we decided to proceed with his company. Michelle met with us to pick out countertops and tile flooring. She was very helpful and she provided great feedback to assist us with decisions to ensure all our decor would go together. On day 1, Justin promptly arrived at 730AM to begin demolition. Justin is a solid dude. He is professional, personable and a jack of all trades kind of guy. With him and Jeff, there were no problems, only solutions. Every day he was scheduled to be at our home, he was on time & worked all day. When it was time to tile the floors, Jeff's guys were on point. Specifically, Adam and Jordan were awesome. They always arrived on time & they were professional. They were a pleasure to deal with while working in our home. I enjoyed getting to know them over the weeks. My son likes to be very involved in projects. Adam and Jordan always allowed him to be involved and did not treat him like he was a burden. They were patient and took some time each morning to allow my son to assist in learning the trade. There were many times we were unable to be home. Never once did I feel like I could not trust any of his guys to be in my home while we were not there. Jeff stopped by our home on a regular basis to check on the quality of work being completed by his crews. Jeff was in constant communication with me about work that would be competed and what crews would be arriving. There was not one time during our 7-week project that his crews failed to show-up or a time I was unable to get in contact with Jeff or Michelle about our project. Now that we have reached the end of our remodel, we are 100% happy with the final outcome. JDS delivered on every level. The photos I posted do not do our remodel justice. When we are ready to remodel our bathrooms, I will be inviting JDS back to complete the work. If you are looking for a contractor to remodel your home, you will not regret going with JDS.

From the first time we met Scott you know already how knowledgeable and passionate he is with his craft. He was very thorough in explaining to us until we landed on the countertop we were looking for. One thing that I would like to really commend Scott is on his communication skills. We were working on a very tight timeline due to having an event in our house and we cannot afford not having a kitchen available. He understood the ask and he worked with us closely and kept us up to date for any possible issues and he always has a solution to provide. As for their quality of work, it was really clean that you can hardly see the breaks. His team was also very respectful of property that they clean after their work for the day. They failed to mention that they are SUBCONTRACTERS meaning they only do certain jobs and then it's up to us to figure out the rest. The only thing the gal had mentioned to us was that they do not install the shower glass and that's it. Nothing else So we went ahead and hired them for the shower panels. And when they come they say you haven't installed a shower Pan yet.. and I'm like??? We were never told we needed too. Why weren't we told this before? My thing is, this is all new to us. We don't do all of this often nor do we know anything about showers and the repairing process. So when this guy said shower pan, don't you think they should have mentioned this all to us when we first signed up with them? Um, ya I think so. So then of course they don't even install the shower pan... they sell it, for an insane price, but they don't install it. So that got delayed even more since we had to find someone to come and install the shower pan. Finally everything is rolling. We spend an INSANE amount of money on this shower, I mean the amount of money we spent. We should of had a grand slam shower. And I blame custom marble and onyx, because as I mentioned earlier, they failed to tell me that they are sub contractors and they don't do shit and it's up to you to scurry around and find people to do different jobs. Okay so everything is in place. Now last thing we need is the shower head and handle installed and put back into place. But GUESS WHAT. We had to find someone for that too because this shit place doesn't even do that. So we had the plumber come out and he noticed these 2 small holes on the shower pans and he mentioned to get them checked out and make sure water won't be leaking. So I call the company and I speak to the "boss" named Darrel who sounded absolutely rude and Condescending. I mean if you are the boss I assume you would hear out your client and try to fix the issue rather argue and get all defensive and tell me that we should have picked a better shower pan or that all your men are experienced. Full of shit and work on your customer service because you are no boss. You are a rude person. Worst experience ever!!! Hate this place. Do not hire them. Unless you want lies. Bad customer service and a huge headache.

Roy , Rafael & Eric did a great job incorporating the old existing hardwood with the new bigger plank hardwood floors. We are so happy with the dark wood borders to identify the space.
