Unfortunately, she was on vacation when I made my appointment, so I asked for "the best person" because I don't know anyone else's name. It was the worst nail experience I've ever had! This is the 3rd time the owner has done my nails, and all were a disaster. Had I known she was going to do my nails, I would have gone somewhere else. When she removed the old acrylic several of my nail beds bled. She talked on her cell phone the entire time. After she applied new acrylic, she sent me to the pedicure chair and a different tech and she started working on another customer who walked in without an appt. Before my pedicure was finished, she came over and started working again on my hands. I hate that because a pedi can otherwise be very relaxing. I had to close my book and stretch one arm across my body so she could continue working on my nails standing at the side of the pedicure chair. When my pedicure was done, I was directed to that tech's station and he finished the rest of my manicure while the owner started on yet another walk-in. I felt like I was in an assembly line. My nails had been filed down too short and I had to ask the male technician who was finishing the manicure to file a few places that were rough and uneven; that is, fix the bad job the owner had done. The nails on one hand were different lengths! It was awful, but I kept my composure. I've been getting chrome on my nails for months now, and the nail tech nodded when I asked if he knew how to apply it. I glanced away for a moment when he started, and when I turned back my attention, he was applying the chrome powder on the 3rd nail. The first two looked horrible! He was applying far more powder than I've ever had and it was silver instead of white. I had selected a dark tan nail polish and the silver chrome on top of that looked horrible to me! Another nail tech who knows me from coming in for so long came to the rescue. It took several minutes to find the white chrome powder and fortunately, the silver wiped off easily, but he started applying the white way too heavily for my taste. It actually dulled the finish instead of enhancing it and I did not like the look at all! When I said it was too much/too heavy he kept going. It was then that I realized he didn't understand me. All this time, I had no idea he didn't know English! He then applied too little chrome on the rest of my nails, but I was so worn out at this point I let it go. Somehow, I made it to the end without losing my cool. When I asked what I owed, he and the owner conversed in their language, and I was told $105, $15 more than usual. And when I got in my car and saw how little chrome he had put on the last 7 nails (@$1.50/nail!) I decided I'd never go back again. Besides all of this, his station was not clean and the trash receptacle where customers have to wash their hands has had the same dirt streaks and spills on the lid for at least a year. There's more, but I've said more than enough. So consider yourself warned. Now I'll start a search for a better nail salon.

Clinton, our piercing specialist, was exceptional. He took the time to ask my daughter if she had any questions and answered them with confidence and clarity, immediately putting her at ease. His professionalism and gentle approach were exactly what we needed. He carefully marked her ears and proceeded with the needling. My daughter felt a little lightheaded afterward, and Clinton was incredibly patient and supportive in helping her manage that. Beyond the excellent service, the studio's cleanliness and attention to sterilization were truly impressive. It's clear they take hygiene very seriously, which was very reassuring. I cannot recommend The Body Bar highly enough. They provided a wonderful, safe, and positive piercing experience for my daughter. If you're looking for a professional and caring piercing studio, this is the place to go! It's located inside the mall. I looked at the colors and decided on a color that actually wasn't gel. They tried to pressure me into getting gel but I was set on this particular color. The first problem was she put the acrylic on lopsided on a number of my nails, which I didn't notice until she put the color on. Then she filed the top of my nails making sure to file the skin off of my fingers above my cuticle, then she put 2 coats of nail polish on not even covering the whole nail and rushed me out to go let them dry... Then disappeared. I let them dry and then felt them and they were rugged and the nail polish rubbed off of my nails feeling like powder or something. So when I asked someone else to redo them she came in yelling and screaming about how she "watched me rub them off" the point was the nail polish shouldn't just rub off when you feel it. Especially when it's dry. So when I asked To get gel she proceeded to yell and complain about how I didn't want gel. Which was true, I wanted that particular color that didn't happen to be gel. I also noticed she filed down one side of my nail too much and it was bending and breaking.. I have been made to feel uncomfortable about this at this salon in the past. I can't wear mascara and thought I would try this. The process was relatively easy and not painful. Okasha is very knowledgeable about eye lashes and eyebrows and offered great suggestions. She is very sweet and constantly checked In to make sure my comfort level was good. Basically you lay down with your eyes closed - she does the rest. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. Okasha explained that each time I have this done, the results will get better. She even recommended a product to help keep my lashes moist and healthy. Her prices are fair for the quality of work. I have already booked my next appointment. She will shape my eyebrows and add tint too at that time. I look forward to working with her in the future and recommend anyone who is interested in this service , along with other beauty services, to give her a try.
