We recently had to leave out of town in a hurry due to a death in the family. A friend recommended perfectly poochy. We called Jake and Megan to watch our dog and three cats. The both came over to meet our pets and were very professional and personable. Our dog, Sydney, a large Shepard mix, took to them right away. I continue to be impressed with Perfectly Poochy. Recently, I left for an overnight trip to Tucson, but as I was about to leave, I became concerned because one of my kitties was not acting completely normal -- I thought she might be sick. After a lot of thought, I decided to continue on my overnight trip, but would return early. I told Megan and Jake about my concerns, and Megan reworked her schedule to give my kitty some extra attention. My kitty turned out to be just fine--I'm just an overly-cautious pet-parent, I guess. I called to see if Perfectly Poochy would be able to walk my dog, when I was on vacation. From the beginning of the call it was obvious, they did not want another customer. Every response to my question was a reason not to accept me as a customer even before getting all the information from me. For example, I said I was looking for the end of August. They immediately said they were not available Labor Day weekend and could not walk my dog. But, I was not asking for Labor Day weekend, nor was I provided an opportunity to provide the dates for them to understand that. I asked for the time of day they walk the dogs. And, she mentioned early morning starting at 6am and early evenings until 8pm and immediately proceeded to say why she was not interested in walking my dogs because it could not be done by 8pm. I tried to explain early morning and late evening was fine. But, she continued on about the time. I mentioned my in-laws would be home but not physically able to walk the dog. And, she got wishy-washy about whether she would even walk my dog. She said she only provided the service, when people were not home. At that point, I said thank you and hung up. I was uncomfortable with someone who insisted only wanting access when no one was home and refused to listen. Up standing companies do not care about access. They care about customers. And, Perfectly Poochy does not care about customers. read more

I was referred to Joanne by another local dog sitter who was unavailable for my short-notice trip. To say I was hesitant is an understatement but after a consultation with Joanne I started to feel more at ease. Over my 4-day trip Joanne sent me photos of my dogs at each visit (3x per day) which made me feel so much more comfortable. She checked our mail, cleaned up the inevitable accident on our carpet (luckily only happened once thanks to all her visits) and even skimmed our pool after noticing a storm had come through! I started using Patty a couple of weeks ago because I had an increase in hours at work and my fiance was out of town. I am such a worry wart that I constantly think about my 2 "furbabies" when I leave them. After the first day that Patty took care of them, I stopped worrying. She is absolutely amazing with them.
