FurBabies is our little Dolly's favorite place to be! We have been bringing her consistently for about a year for drop-in daycare and grooming and every experience has been amazing! It is a clean and large facility so the pups have plenty of room to play and get their zoomies out so she comes home super calm for us. All of the staff knows her by name and are kind and caring (I'm convinced she would rather snuggle with them more than play with the other dogs most of the time). Dolly runs in excited to see them every visit! The staff also takes pictures to update us through the day (like the one I added) and she always looks like she is having a blast with her friends. Such a clean and beautiful retail store, but my experience is with grooming. Best grooming my two year-old has ever gotten.

NOPE! My poor baby hasn't been the same since I picked him up from his 5 day overnight. SOMETHING happened but NOONE noticed that he was covered in dried feces for DAYS and so much so that we had to take him to the emergency room upon picking him up. Fever, infection, fear. It took him an entire week to come out from under the bed after he got home. Response "he was so happy" but when we picked him up he was crying in the backroom. They said 'he was happy to see you thats why he was crying'. They 'said' they would credit me for the stay. They have a groomer on site but noone noticed his condition. IF that was what happened. I asked for video but never received it. My friend had her dog there at the same time and she saw him in the same position at mornig dropoff and night pickup and HE NEVER MOVED. But they said 'thats where he sits'. I hope he returns to his normal happy self but SOMETHING happened there that only he knows. Also ANIMAL CONTROL was there investigating one day but I was told it was a 'false call'. Keep in mind that every day I received an update saying how happy and playful he was. The emergency vet said it was the worst they have seen. Noone watches the dogs. It is a free for all. Never again!!!! Never! I'll just pay off my $1900 emergency bill and figure out a safer option. PS also my friend's dog wasnt allowed to go to any other boarding place because of 'unpredictacle' behavior but Fur Babies had no problem taking them at all. LEAVE YOUR DOG AT FURBABIES AT YOUR OWN RISK I had a truly alarming experience at Furbabies on Scottsdale Road. When I arrived to pick up my dog from daycare, I found over 20 dogs completely unattended. I rang the indoor doorbell (which is supposed to alert staff) and waited five minutes--no one came. Concerned, I walked through the open boarding facility--yes, completely open--where anyone could have walked in and taken a dog. I stood at the daycare gate, trying to figure out how to get my dog out without all the others following. The situation was chaotic, In the blink of an eye a dog fight could have easily broken out. After 15 minutes, someone finally came to the front. I was understandably upset and asked for the manager. The staff member claimed she was the manager and very dismissively told me to "calm down." The next day, I spoke to the owner, Heather. She confirmed she saw the whole thing on camera and was apologetic. However, she chose to keep the employee who decided that cleaning was more important than supervising a room full of dogs. That decision is simply unacceptable. This was not just poor service--it was a serious safety issue. I'm writing this review to warn other pet parents: think twice before trusting Furbabies with your dog. read more

One star because they could provide me with a same day appointment, but that should have been a red flag - especially since it was on a weekend. Took my puppy for his 3rd professional grooming appointment and was extremely disappointed. The front desk lady was very rude, and acting like it was an inconvenience for her to bring my dog in while the groomers were sitting on their phones with no dogs in sight. When I picked him up he was not trimmed, which I specifically asked for just around the face. Was charged a "handling fee." On top of that he came home with poop in his hair. They have 2 locations and I am reviewing the North Scottsdale location. I moved to Scottsdale 4 months ago from Chicago. I had to find a new groomer that would be as good as the groomer my dog Sheldon had since he was a puppy. Huge shoes to fill. I took Sheldon to 3 different grooming studios before I found flFurbabies. Heather, the owner, offered me a medicated bath the was life changing for my dog. He is almost 15 and now has some growths as older dogs do. He is also a paw licker. Not anymore!!! He is totally at piece with his skin and that makes me so happy. Older dog owners will understand. Used to love this place when they first opened. However, they can not keep a groomer longer than a few months. My 10lb maltipoo has high anxiety when getting his hair cut and every time he comes in he has to see someone new. Was advised to get him cbd from them and I did since I don't want to drug him. Today I took him in on cbd for a haircut and I was told to get him drugs from the vet which is not what I'm looking to do and why we've been going there vs taking him to the vet for grooming. This will definitely be our last trip here. The guy who worked there previously was the only groomer who had no issues grooming my dog and gave him a cute cut. Knowing he was let go, is heartbreaking as he could handle my 10lb dog. I used to love it here but not anymore! Avoid this place! The turn over is too high and they try to add extra charges that you didn't agree to after the grooming is complete. After I got the text to come pick my dog up, I was told I would be charged extra. I received a phone call in the middle of his appointment and no one said anything about an extra fee. I called to pay for the cut before my daughter picked my dog up and they told me I was going to be charged extra. The manager was rude as can be and I said I never agreed to any extra fee and when I received a phone call mid appointment no one said anything about me being charged extra. She said she didn't care and my dog would not be released until I paid extra. This place has went down hill and is clearly money hungry with ZERO customer service skills. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Francine until I picked up my pup after her first weeklong boarding there I felt taken care of! These doggo loving people are incredibly warm, intelligent, sweet and caring and they will love your pup from beginning to end! I came to Furbabies at 8:30 am on November 20th for the first time with a Groupon deal. This deal included bath brush and dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning and anal gland expression. When I got there the front desk lady was very friendly and gave me the impression everything was going to work out great. I get a phone call at 10:40 am from the business saying that they lost power and that I needed to come to pick my dogs up. The lady on the phone explained to me that one of my dogs got washed and the other was half washed and not dried. I explained to her that my Groupon deal included the entire service and that I would like to reschedule to when we could have the services finished. After I explained that she said that the dogs got "washed" and that I needed to pay full price for the services. I explained to her that even though they were washed they were not properly dried or given the treatments that were included in the Groupon deal. After going back and forth I asked to speak with the manager and she then said she was the manager and that I needed to pay for the full service. I wasn't going to pay for the full groom if my dogs weren't even dried. I explained that any business should have a margin for things like this that happen and should reschedule to finish the service. She then told me I needed to bring cash because of their credit card machine not working... fat chance would I give her 80$ cash after she chewed me out. Needless to say, my dogs were not fully washed, they were soaking wet upon arrival, their ears weren't cleaned and there is NO way that their nails were cut because they are still super long. She told me that they "manually" trim them and do the Dremel if the dogs like it. She said, "regardless, most dogs don't' like the Dremel tool anyways". That comment shocked me because I know my dogs ONLY like the Dremel tool and I specifically ask for it wherever I have my dogs groomed..... I understand the power going out was out of their control but it wasn't my fault either and as a business, I should have been scheduled to get the rest of the services done. I also didn't appreciate that when I told the manager I was going to pick the dogs up she was waiting with my dogs outside in the pouring down rain, not to mention one of them was soaking wet and shivering. It's not cool to treat the animals poorly when the human has an issue with the owner. For a place in Old Town Scottsdale, they have horrible customer service. The company should be ashamed to have a manager represent the company the way she did. All in all, I will NOT be returning! read more

My pups love FurBabies so much! They go every other week for a 1/2 day of play while my house is being cleaned. I love that the staff at FurBabies loves my fur babies as much as me. They welcome them by name and send me photos at the end of each day. The Foxy Pups also love to get groomed here and do weekend stays as well. I was amazed when I found out that they can stay in a room together and have a Tuft & Needle bed to sleep on. It's so wonderful not to worry when I go out of town. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. I bring my Skye Terriers for a Spa day every 4 weeks. This breed is very rare and not a lot of groomers are familiar with it. I'm so happy I found Furbabies and my dogs are always looking so good and happy after grooming day. I asked girls to give me a tour and wanted to see where my dogs staying while they get groomed and let me tell you... They sit in a luxury room with a bed and a TV. I was a little skeptical to bring my puppy here for her first grooming since I didn't know how she would do. The minute I walked in, I was greeted and the staff was so welcoming toward Layla! The grooming was quick and efficient and I even received the cutest report card after. When I picked her up, they did a fantastic job and listened to everything I asked for. Grooming doodles can be difficult but they definitely know what they're doing! I even bought a drop in daycare package and Layla absolutely loves playing with the other dogs. We have a new puppy, and we took her for a play date and thought that this was our absolute place to take our new pet to play and for weekend hotel stays when we're out of town. We had a party to go to a few nights later so we checked her into the most expensive pet room at $100... We got home a little early, so I called and left a message to see if we could come and get her, no problem still paying the money. Nobody called us back until the next morning. It was about 7:30 AM and I thought I would stop by and see if I could grab her. All the doors at the resort were open, the whole place was completely unlocked so I walked in, nobody was there, except for a bunch of dogs that were barking that had been kept overnight! I walked around, looking around, asking and yelling for somebody to be there, but there was nobody there. They left the front doors open for god knows how long? All night maybe?!!!! I could've stolen everything in the resort as well as all the dogs. I saw a button that I thought maybe would call somebody from the back to come forward and get me my dog. I pressed it and about 5 minutes later the security alarm went off and the dogs started going crazy. I almost just let myself in the back and took my dog home... The back doors to the dogs were unlocked as well. I left feeling scared and very uncomfortable, but I left my dog. The owner called me and told me that the workers had gone for coffee and had not locked the doors (really). She said the police had called her, I was standing there for 20 minutes no police showed up. Police wwre not showing up. That's a complete joke. Anything could've happened inside of this business. I just want everybody to know the horrible experience that I have there. I will not be bringing my dog back and I would highly recommend you don't bring yours if they can't even lock the doors, who knows if they were locked all night or not. Stay away from this place. Heather, the owner did call, but she had no real recourse. She gave me my $100 back and apologized. Something like this to a dog mom isn't ok for those kind of prices. read more

We have been coming here for about 8 -9 months . Sadly we are discontinuing our malteses stays here and will not refer anyone else here anymore . Last month , both Malteses came home smelling like strong urine and our boy had dried up feces on the side of him. But judging how hard the feces was on his fur ( scrubbed him down ) - going to have to say it was on him at least 24 hours or longer . Oh - and let me add , per our request our malteses do not do day care with other dogs - so not sure why such a disgusting thing happened . When I told the front desk girl she looked at me like I was from a different planet . After I wrote the Instagram account and asked why this happened - my messages were left on "seen" . So , I asked if writing a yelp review would get someone's attention . It did , the owner called and offered 1 free night and a bath next time . She did sound very sorry . We decided to give Fur Babies another chance and have faith it was just a fluke & we could all move forward from this . I picked up the malteses today & asked where their medication was in their travel bag . Unfortunately both my malteses are on medication for epilepsy and diabetes. The staff could not find the medication . I labeled a bag , bottles and reminders for medication & large jar of peanut butter . ( you would think it sticks out like a sore thumb how bold my labeling is ) Turns out it was sent home to another dog parent . All I have to say at this point is WOW. I took my small dachshund here for the first time today and they did a really good job! We've been trying out a few different grooming places to find one we like since we've never had a dog that needed groomed before this is all new to us. My dog came out fluffy, clean and smelling super nice. Her coat is shiny, her nails look trimmed, and they did a really good job trimming her hair in all the necessary spots. We really are pleased with the outcome of the groom and will return! The one minor downfall was that they forgot to put her collar back on and we have to pick it back up and the place is a bit far. It's a minor inconvenience but accidents happen and we don't hold it against them. Still 5 stars! read more

Just moved here from Dallas where my two-year-old golden doodle would go to doggy day care 2 to 3 times a week. Was looking for a place in Scottsdale that was clean, friendly staff, and the ability for our dog to get other services such as boarding and grooming. Ran into Furbabies page on Yelp and really liked their website. You first have to make an account and fill out an application form with information on your pup, and then are able to make appointments through their online portal. I called and they told me to bring her in for temperament testing, which would only take a few minutes, to see how she interacted with the other dogs. They told me I could bring her in anytime and did not need to set up an appointment. I was able to bring her in the same day and the staff was very helpful. They are storefront is super cute with really nice accessories and toys. They are minimizing the amount of people allowed in the lobby during the times of Covid, and have hand sanitizer available and encourage masks. They have two indoor areas, no outdoor area, with individual carts and some inside turf and little playground slides. They do have doggy play date meet up times, which I think are on hold at the present time due to the pandemic. Really looking forward to the golden doodle meet ups in the future. Don't forget to ask for the free one time Day play which I saw through yelp and was able to get her first day of day care free! She was so tired when she came Home, and I know that she had a great time. Will be sending her back there soon for daycare! Furbabies is truly a resort. It is a super nice posh setup for dog lovers. After doing my due diligence on Furbabies I enrolled my 18 week old puppy in a training program for 60 days. My puppy lived there, played with other dogs all day in the large play area and received top-notch training daily. I received daily updates on his training and activities along with pictures and videos. There is actually a portal you can log into and look at the whole history. It was an extremely clutch setup especially during covid because my dog could socialize with other dogs during his 2 months of training all under one roof. It is always hard trusting people with your dog, but this place has very kind people and it shows. The facility is also immaculate which is comforting for sure. I am so impressed with Furbabies that I have recommended them to my brother who is already signed up for a 60 day training program starting in the near future. read more

Energy was so good and the dogs in the space clearly felt it as they were enjoying each other.. My Gilbert really never wants me to leave him.. he could have cared less..goodbyes were not a thing on this visit.. he was so happy to be taken from me. That speaks volumes for me.. This is my first time here at FurBabies Resort Spa, I brought my golden doodle and asked for a haircut and a trim. I wasn't too happy with the results of the haircut and a few days later after the weekend did I decide to call and ask if they could just trim up my dog because I wasnt happy with the cut. I started bring my baby Scout to Furbabies within a few weeks of adopting her per the vet's recommendation to take her to a daycare to build up her confidence with people. (she was labeled a project dog by the shelter) Furbabies was and still is amazing with her. She LOVES going. Runs right in when they open the door.
