I showed up from Louisville to check out a Jeep, and granted it was an old TJ I just never felt like anyone really cared that I was even there. My salesman, who I'll pass on naming, had like 2 other deals going on at the same time. Which yeah man, good for you, but when there's literally 5 other sales people just sitting around it's frustrating having to wait for you to finish. Anyway... they lowballed me on my trade in. They said work had been done on the Jeep, which another shop deemed "cheap and lazy". So, there's that. There's more, but I won't bore you. Moral of the story: I'm not here to tell you how to spend your money but if you are buying a used car from these guys I would strongly recomend getting a pre-purchase inspection done from a third-party mechanic. read more

BUYER BEWARE! My husband purchased a 2023 GMC Sierra 1500 from Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Georgesville on July 5, 2025. It had 23,485 miles on it. Less than two weeks later, the "Service Brake Pad Monitor" light came on. Knowing what I know now, they probably sold it to him having only reset the warning light, not actually fixing the problem. Less than one month later, my husband passed away. While dealing with grieving kids and planning his funeral, I had to figure out why this sensor light was on--preferably before the first payment as I wanted to sell it before having to make payments and before it got repossessed. I contacted Alex (name changed so they don't sue me) with "service" and was told I needed to go to a GMC dealer because the truck was under warrantee and therefore, it was the dealer's problem, not theirs. So, I took it to a GMC dealer and $125.00 later was told the brakes were down to 2mm, the rotors were rusted and grooved and the truck was not safe to drive. My son had driven the truck more than once moving stuff to his apartment. So, he was driving a truck with a heavy load and unsafe brakes on the highway. Thank God I didn't have to plan two funerals. I called Alex with the information about the brakes and rotors, and he said they can't use information from a third party. They'd have to see it themselves. I was also told that they replaced the rotors and two tires. Per my request, he sent me what he called a service report. Not appreciating the run around I was getting and because I lacked the time and energy to deal with what is clearly an unethical business, I took the truck to my local mechanic for a second opinion. They confirmed what the GMC dealer said. I had them make the repairs as I would never sell this truck to someone knowing that it was unsafe. When I picked it up I was told the rotors were factory parts and had never been changed. In fact, the mechanic had to torch off the bolts/screws because they were rusted on. Additionally, the tires were not new and there was no information on CarFax regarding maintenance on the truck. It cost me $1500.00 (plus the $125 diagnosis from GMC) to repair a truck that my husband owned for less than a month and put fewer than 300 miles on. The money pales in comparison to the time and energy I had to put into rectifying what should have been a non-issue if the people at Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram Georgesville had any ethics whatsoever. In my final conversation with Alex, he had the nerve to tell me they gave my husband "a great deal on that truck". Seriously? If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from Performance.....Georgesville, please do your homework. Take it to a neutral third party for an inspection. It will be money well spent. Or better yet, go to a reputable, trustworthy place to start with. Gave them one star only because zero wasn't an option. read more

They got me a deal to buy a jeep, it was cpo'ish.. in that it has a warranty, but the truth is, the list of things they performed were BS. The oil was changed, but not the filter, the exhaust had a leak that got worse once if left the lot, and the air box was missing screws, there's zero chance they noticed, since it was never changed and filthy, all the previous owners GPS settings were still in the system, and the previous owners bluetooth stuff too. Headlights weren't aligned properly and i had an out bulb. I should have looked better, but i just fixed it all myself. Truth is it's fine, i usually look over everything myself anyway, but when you see certified, you expect better. If i weren't mechanically inclined i'd be pissed, and honestly there's a few dealers around. When i called about the issues the next day, they wrote me off, deal was done.. So next deal will be elsewhere. I didn't go in with great expectations, and they really met the bottom of the expectations list. If you know cars, can fix it yourself and just want a warranty for big stuff, it's a good experience, if you don't stay far away.. 4 stars for sales/finance 0 stars for service -negative stars for BS made up certification process.. read more

Less than 24 hours after purchasing a brand new 2025 Wrangler 4xe on July 11, I had to take the vehicle back for service because the EV battery is defective and does not charge. The vehicle has remained there ever since, and according to Jeep customer service, there has been little-to-no progress toward a solution other than endless "diagnostics." Had the dealership completed its "send-off checklist" properly, it would have noticed the EV battery remained below a 1% charge, despite being plugged into a charger for hours at the dealership (protocol calls for the dealership to charge the EV battery to 80% prior to send off). In addition, the finance department denied my request for an extended warranty through Mopar, instead steering me to an obscure third-party insurer at an inflated price. At this point, I just want my money back so I can move on from this terrible experience. read more

A month later I had a low oil light in my car. I took my car back to the dealership and I informed them about the light. They conducted a free oil change on my car. After about another month the low oil light came on again. After taking it to the Volkswagen dealership they informed me that the issue was caused by issues with valve stem seals and it was going to cost me $4,300 dollars to fix it. I had an incredibly terrible experience at performance Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Georgesville Road. November 13 I took my 2021 Jeep in because the heat would turn cold after about 20 minutes. I was unlucky enough to get Jasen Sayre as my service member to work with. I was initially told they needed 2 days to diagnose the issue and proceeded to keep my jeep for over 7 weeks with little to no communication, support, or response. I was informed that somehow my engine was warped and needed replaced as well as both head gaskets and water pump, and Jasen's responses to me were typically "calm down" "trust me" "relax" when I showed any concern on how this happened and the next steps. I had an extended warranty I purchased with the vehicle which was denying the engine coverage based on the notes and verbiage used by the service team. The level of distrust and manipulation that stemmed over those 7 weeks kept growing as Jasen's communication got less and less. On December 10 jasen told me the warranty company denied my engine replacement with no further information and I did not get any follow up or reply until December 31 while my jeep was torn apart in pieces on their lift, all while not even offering me a rental to get to work and see my family for the holidays (even though I had a service contract that included one). I had to get another dealership involved to get any truth or communication. Once they retrieved my jeep and got inside it was proven that Jasen lied by claiming the water pump was replaced by them using my warranty (which was untrue and untouched), my engine was completely fine and one head gasket did not need replaced. I will also mention the dealership that fixed my vehicle expressed the WRONG side of my engine head was torn down by Jasen's team. I was being strong armed and manipulated because I am a woman that came in there on my own, trusting them to do their job, all while they made up damage to my vehicle that wasn't actually there or necessary to replace. I will tell every person I know to never work with PCDJ georgesville for as long as I live and I will be filing with the BBB and attorney general office to make everyone aware of the shady and deceitful work they provide. I bought a used (barely) truck from this dealership 7 months ago. I had to take it back with the first month of having it for a software update (5 days) Then at 4 moths in i took it to them again for a battery issue they had it a month with some resolution, but i did not get a good feeling from the service writer that the issues was actually fixed. 7 weeks later, same issue. The truck has currently been sitting at the dealership for over a month now and all the service writer tells me is.."I have no updates from my tech on your truck." or, my favorite. Very bad Service department. I brought my 2020 Ram 1500 in for transmission issues On Thursday November 13th, 2025. The transmission was stuck in 3rd gear will not come out of that gear. I have an extended Warranty when I bought my truck have bought the same extended warranty for the last 3 vehicles I purchased it is a platinum warranty that covers from bumper to bumper engine and powertrain. I signed paperwork for them to look at it and the fee for that is around $224 bucks. I could give exact amount if they gave the paperwork that I signed. I contacted the service advisor Friday November 14th to find out about a rental or loaner. They don't do loaners only rental cars. That fine with me my extended warranty covers rentals at 50 bucks a day up to 500. I couldn't get them to get me a rental they never verified my extended warranty. I called another Ram dealership they were able to get right in and get me a loaner the same day. I went back to Performance dealership off of Georgesville road to get my truck to take ot to another dealership that would actually work with me and get me a loaner or rental. I told them I don't like the fact there was nothing done about extended warranty coverage truck has not been looked at or put on a lift to get a diagnosis done. They want to charge me $224 bucks to get my truck out. I told let me the diagnosis paperwork. The advisor told me she can't because it hasn't been looked. Why are charging me for something when work hasn't been done to it. She told you signed the paperwork so will charged 224. I said give the diagnosis paperwork then. She said she can't it hasn't been looked at. I'm not paying for something that hasn't worked on. You are not getting your keys back. I asked to speak with Service Manager that went no where. I told her that I need a rental in order to get back and forth to work. If Ican't work the deductible will not be paid, and you will be paying for it. So if you can't get my truck diagnosed or giving my vehicle to me now. She told my truck will be looked at on Monday. They hold you hostage unless you pay for service that was never done. I took the Liberty of changing the Spark plugs myself only to find the plugs in this vehicle were in a very serious state, and fouled ..... I was told that this vehicle had a custom exhaust fitted.... However I have found that this is not the case.... Well, they drove it and said it was fine and decided not to even take a second look. They then have him two additional days to pick a different vehicle or keep the one he purchased. The selection available was pitiful and they wouldn't let him look at their "sister site" which had way better options of certified Honda's on hand.He picked another vehicle but would only provide one key fob. Just left the dealership for the second time after only 2 months of owning a new ram. Need to take it back for a third time to try to fix the problem and get a loaner. it is already on its third battery. This most recent visit started out because there was a nail in my tire. when I stopped to get it fixed the shop asked where the locking socket was for the lug nuts that was supposed to come with the truck. Guess what there wasn't any. The service rep says we can order you one it will be in probably be in a couple of days. What? Had to get a manager. They fixed it a hour later and reminded them about the electronics problem that they already knew about. so about an another hour later i was told I need to make an appointment to bring it back. They can not even make appointments there I have to call someone or do it online. Mind you I'm standing at the dealership talking to a service rep. So I go to get into my 2 month old white truck and there is black grease all over my door handle and inside on the floor. Go back into tell the sales manager what has happened and by this point they act like I'm bothering them and he says he is having the same problems that I am having with his dodge product. I bought a 2018 Chevy Cruze and have been finding new things wrong with the car constantly. First, early this year, I noticed deep groves in the rear brake rotors. When I pulled them off to inspect further I found nearly nonexistent rear brake pads. I found it strange that a car with only about 45000 miles on it at the time had already had so much wear and tear on the rear brakes. My best guess is that a previous owner had driven with the parking brake on to cause this issue. Well actually, my first fear was that I had been driving with the parking brake on, but once I located the parking brake and saw that it was not activated and considered how great of gas mileage I had been getting, I ruled this possibility out. I proceeded to replace the rotor and brake pads. The photos below are the rotors I removed. Next, I took the car to a nearby Midas for an oil change and tire rotation. There they informed me that the two rear tires are six years old and heavily dry-rotted and said they will need to be replaced. On top of these, I had to replace the air filter almost immediately because it was filthy, which is a far more minor thing, but still another issue to the list. And then the AC in the car stopped working which is what has compelled me to leave this review as a buyer beware. read more

Unfortunately our purchase was a used vehicle that began giving my daughter issues if I recall almost the same evening (amber check engine light) Over two months later at least 6 trips back to Performance for (check engine light codes) we still don't have a complete resolution. I must be honest the GM Chris and Heather along with their service team have been very supportive and forthright I believe in making every effort to resolve our issue. Each time the vehicles codes have been diagnosed and repairs made. I'm hopeful even though all the issues related to the (check engine light codes) haven't totally been resolved. It was a personal message and not a robot response. Then this morning I immediately received a text from the same person; Guy Petrie. We messaged back and forth and I met him and purchased the truck. I have to say, he is Not a "salesman". I felt like I was meeting with a friend. I am not even from this state and there was 0 pressure to buy anything. He made it a very fast and comfortable transaction. Literally within 1 hour of time, I was in and out, start to finish. We went to purchase a new car and were ready to walk out the day we went in. Our sales guy was wonderful! He was very informative, low pressure and definitely took the time we needed to find exactly what we wanted. They had a good inventory of options to choose from. We had a trade in and were looking for a deal that felt like everyone was winning. However, we got the initial price of the car we wanted and our trade in and apparently that was the final price. There was no negotiating at all. They claimed they made a mistake on pricing and they wouldn't budge, even a few hundred dollars. When it came down to it, when a dealer isn't willing to budge a few hundred to make a $65k deal then we just walk. We did, went to a competitor and got the price we wanted. If we went back I don't think we would do a trade in as I feel that muddied the waters. read more

Another shady car dealership. Bought a $35,000 truck from this dealership and upon delivery there was a tire sensor warning on the dashboard. I was told it would reset itself after 15 to 20 miles and if it didn't bring it back and we will fix it. It never reset, brought the vehicle back to the dealership and now they want to charge me to have the sensors put in the tires that were never there. The next morning, after buying the truck, I got into an accident taking it to the dealership to get the tire sensors fixed. Unfortunately, it took the repair shop months to get the parts to fix my vehicle. The car dealership told me because it has been so long they will no longer fix the tire sensors. I was shown several vehicles and the salesman (Adam) is very knowledgeable and accessible ALL the time. He is so honest and friendly. I've gone to service for inspections and oil changes. Everyone always gets me in and out. They offer free snacks, coffee, etc in the service area. The location is clean and welcoming. I'd recommend this place to anyone. There is a guy in the service department from California; he and his wife just moved to Columbus. He said I would get an emailed survey but I didn't so, just so you all know, he's amazing and kind. I had it towed to Performance. Mike Guinther called me to tell my other auxiliary battery now needed replaced & it was going to cost $389. When I questioned why this wasn't detected a month & a half ago, Mike Guinther became very rude & very condescending & even hung up on me when I then opted to have my jeep towed to Mark Wahlberg because of his nasty attitude. I'm now in a 2024 Buick GX. I would never suggest anyone get their vehicle serviced here because of Mike Guinther & the way I was treated by him. read more

I bought a Jeep from this dealer a couple of weeks ago, and when I left the lot there was obviously a major and potentially deadly problem with the steering. I managed to get the Jeep home, and called them to try and get the problem solved but they told me the car was sold as-is and basically it's my problem now. I also noticed it was running hot on the way home so I popped the hood and the coolant was completely empty. Oh, and one of the tail lights was out. I had to come in for an unrelated thing and talked with the sales manager, and he pretty much gave me a sorry-not-sorry response and obviously just wanted me to leave him alone. What I'm trying to say is, if you are planning on buying a used car here - you probably shouldn't, they literally don't even look at them before listing them for sale. Between 2:30 and 5:00pm I had to call the dealership 6 times and left 3 voicemails before I finally got a call back from the service advisor Mark. 4. Mark was bothered when I was upset that I never got a call back, or update on my vehicle. 5. Apparently it's a lot for them to give you an update on your appointment, and then the customer should be okay when your supposed to get the vehicle back same day and they tell you after 5pm that it might take another 48hours. 6. The service center is the worse service center I have ever dealt with. My vehicle was in the shop multiple times and has been damaged by them multiple times while in their possession for over 4 months. Based off some of the reviews, including this one, it seems that if you buy a car from them that is not brand new, or a Jeep, Chrysler, or Dodge, you will have tons of problems with your vehicle and they will treat you how they see fit while taking your money. They aren't the friendliest people or the best when it comes to communication. I went by to check on my vehicle without them knowing I was coming and just sat and watch for a bit in the parking lot. The service center employees fly through the parking lot in customer cars like it's a race track purposely hitting bumps and riding up on curbs. With the damage done to my vehicle and the almost 20 extra miles put on it for no reason, and an employees phone connected to my car, I can only imagine how they treat the vehicles in their possession. They also admitted to giving me a vehicle without having it serviced first. The issues listed in this review only cover a few of the many, many problems I've had with them. Stay far, far away from this place especially if you are thinking of buying something used. The one star is because I have to rate them in order to submit this review. UPDATE: Took the vehicle to a shop because it was making noises. Reported this to Performance and heard nothing back. The shop is saying that when the dealership did the work, they damaged my steering column. To the point that the air bag could go off and the only way to fix the damage the Performance service center did is to replace the entire steering column. The mechanic showed me what was done and was confused as to why they were even in the steering column. The work that was done by Performance did not require them to be anywhere near the steering wheel. The other thing, besides body damage by Performance, was the weird thumping sound the vehicle makes. The mechanic said that Performance put the vehicle back together in a rush and probably didn't do it correctly as there were hoses out of place and the engine filter was just sitting on top of the transmission in the corner and not even latched back in to place.
