So my girlfriend was going to take it to a shop and was quoted over a grand. So Instead I looked on yelp and found Murphy's and requested a quote at about 10:50pm on a Friday night. I got a text to my cell phone at 11:02pm just minute's later!! He asked me what I heard and he agreed that it sounded like the starter. He got all the information about the car and said he would contact me in the morning. The very next morning he called me and got the part and was headed over to my apartment to help. He got here quickly and tested to make sure it was the starter before he installed it to save time and money. And got it installed and ready and working perfectly in about 30-40 minutes. He charged us for the part he brought for us and the labor and we ended up paying around 600 bucks when we would have been paying at LEAST twice that at a shop, and we didn't have to worry about towing the car to a shop or anything since he came to us. We were extremely happy and I'd recommend him to anyone. I believe his name was John, If I'm incorrect I'm sorry lol. But he was very good, quick, knowledgeable and convenient. We went in Thursday and the whole story changed. It was 85 dollars to drive it around the parking lot to see what it was doing. On our way there the ABS light came on so we asked them to check it too. They said to check it it would be 185 dollars. So they called us later in the day and said they couldnt find anything wrong with the steering but the ring on the axle need a new one. They put on a new axle and we picked it up on Friday. They said they couldnt fix the steering because they didnt have the tools. We leave and the ABS light is still on after we paid 800 dollars to get the work done. I wouldnt take my dog to this place. I…read morehad been driving on two leaky tires for months and thought for sure I would have to buy new ones. The Katz tires found the nails in my tires in under a minute. The front tire was plugged before I even knew what was happening. The nail in the back tire was almost in the sidewall, so they took the time to explain that if I was going to go on a long (longer than 10 hours) trip, I might want to replace it, but if I am just driving local, a $25 patch would be just fine. While one guy was working on my tires, another was educating me on how to check the tread on my tires. These guys could have taken advantage of me and told me I needed 4 brand new tires, but instead they took the time to educate me so I could make informed decisions.
