When I got out I checked tires and front right was cupping and very worn due to us not rotating tires consistently. My bad...My whole family grandkids visiting us and I was feeling sick about taking the chance with bad tires up front. I went to his shop to get his expert opinion and he said he was slammed with jobs. I think he saw how desperate I was he said he'd slip me in and rotated and balanced my wheels in 20 minutes! Said tires were in need of replacing soon but would suffice till after holidays! He saved the day and I'll be able to sleep knowing we are safer. Jeep ran smooth and true. I'm new to Steamboat, so I asked around and had two people recommend Bob Wallace's services to me. One even said, that he was, by far, the best mechanic in town. Right off the bat, I liked Bob. He was super friendly, plus his shop was neat and orderly and both he and the employee I met were courteous and attentive. I had no idea how long it would take to diagnose the problem, but I brought my 2017 Audi wagon there and hoped for the best. Within an hour, I got a message from Bob that the car was fixed. The wire was actually a hose and a wire that had been dislodged from the frame of the car. Bob put it on the lift, cleaned it up in and around the bracket anchor and got it put back together securely. When completed, he texted and even explained what happened by showing some before and after photos. When I came by later to pick up the car, Bob would not take any money for the work that he did, which just blew me away! Not only did this guy do great work, but he was quick, thorough, and did an amazing job. My car started vigorously shaking and the check engine light was flashing when I got into town. I found out it was only firing on three cylinders when the spark plugs weren't connected all the way. I went to Yampa valley, but they were too full to get me in. I met a nice man named Friday there and sent me to his shop Four Star. He was able to get me in right away, diagnose the problem and fix it within minutes. He also recommended I go to Midas to get reimbursed for the work to fix their problem and it worked. The staff here is honest and you can tell that they really know what they're doing. I felt taken care of and left with peace of mind. More importantly, I was able to get home safely and I wouldn't have been able to do that if it weren't for the amazing customer service and expertise here. This is an amazing auto shop and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

On NAPPA's website, the exact fuel filter is listed at $197.99. I asked the service manager if the fuel filter price was correct. She said yes. About an hour after posting I received a call from the owner. I don't think he had read this review as he never mentioned it. He did, at length, apologize. Stating it was a product of a software package which they pay monthly for. He offered a partial credit back to my credit card. $65.39 just showed up:-) Bottom line, the owner's call made all the difference. They will have my future business.

When I took it to them, after my ca was jump-started, Doran ran some tests and said it was unlikely that I did in fact need a battery, however if I did, I should go back to the manufacturer as the battery is under warranty and I shouldn't pay a penny for a new battery. They could have easily said "yes you do... we'll sell it to you" and I would have been none the wiser. From my experience, they go above and beyond and genuinely care.
