I have been coming to Performance Fiberglass for a few years now and have had multiple repairs on three different boats now. I have had a great experience with them and their work is top notch! My first repair was adding in small wooden supports under my flat bottom Schiada to reduce the pressure of the kick board under the deck. John provided good recommendations and this stopped spider webbing from occurring on my deck. My next repair was a hulk crack caused by the trailer (broken bunk). John cut out the false bottom floor to get to the crack and re-enforced the boat from the inside, and reinstalled my false bottom floor. The bottom came out great and I haven't had any problems since. This last repair was cracks through the fiberglass on both back corners of the boat. John was able to reattached the fiberglass and re-enforce it from the inside. As you can see in the photographs he spotted in the orange and you can never tell the cracks were even there. I highly recommend John for all your fiberglass, paint and gel repairs. He is trust worthy and his work speaks for itself. Ok, I found Performance Fiberglass on Yelp and based on the reviews I decided to give them a try. I discovered that Mr. John and his team are extremely passionate and detailed about their work. So, I had them repair an aftermarket side skirt on my vehicle which I later discovered through John that the part was cheaply crafted. Nevertheless, John put his skills to work and made the item look brand new. The job took a bit longer than expected, but I am pleased with the final outcome! Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the side skirt after it was completed prior to having it re-installed. But trust me, I am very picky; it came out better than the original part. read more

Had a negative experience with this place and posted a review about it on Google Reviews. I dont typically leave negative reviews unless I feel like the place really deserves it and for the most part, most places will apologize and try to make it right or at least improve for the future. NOT THIS PLACE. Instead the owner responded that I must have been having a bad day because apparently there is no way that somebody could ever have something negative to say about their business even if I had to wait three weeks for a simple response to an email and the response was basically, "go away". If I could give this place and John more than 5 stars I would. We had a bit of an incident with a jetski and John took us in and not only stuck true to his word on the timeline, but to his estimate. Honestly, there are so many places you take a car too or something that needs repair and gives you the estimate but at the end of the job, the price is so much higher than the original quote. John was just amazing. Communication was amazing, his explanations of what he's looking at were clear and he kept true to his pricing. Now here's why... read below I was having a fun weekend in Havasu Arizona on a pair of Sea-Doos I borrowed from a friend... long story short, the side rail on One of the skis had got damaged and cracked through the fiberglass and chipped away the gel coat, it pretty much put a whole downer on the rest of the weekend. Anyways I come home and now it's time to fix them. I called about 25 different places around me, this is NO EXAGGERATION trying to find the best place with best customer service and best pricing available as I didn't want to spend a fortune fixing something that's not even mine. After speaking to roughly 25 different companies, who off the bat I did not get a good vibe from with the way some of these businesses answered their phone calls (I am a business owner and can appreciate when other businesses have proper etiquette when picking the phone up), John at preformance fiberglass was more than pleasant to first greet me with a nice tone but to further genuinely help me out and try to help figure out how we can get this fixed and what's going on. After having called all these different places Preformance Fiber Glass stuck out to me because of their awesome customer service (and willingness to deal with my crazy 2 day time constraint and squeeze me in since I had to have these skis back before the weekend and brought them in on a Tuesday) and best pricing i had received. Upon first meeting them, The performance crew are really some cool genuine people. They really make you feel welcomed and are very friendly and quite funny. I told them I had to have it done within a couple of days when everybody else gave me minimum 1-2 week wait times and they had it done two days later. PICKING THE SKIS UP NOW I brought back the trailer to pick up the fixed ski and it looked better than before, it was washed and cleaned up very nice for me upon pick up and the damage was invisible and flawlessly fixed AND they even noticed I had a taillight hanging broken from the trailer they proceeded to just fix it for free no cost within minutes, was very appreciative for that and them going above and beyond when they didn't have to. This is the second time I've visited performance fiberglass and I was happy again! John and Art are 2 good guys as well as the rest of the guys that work there. First time I brought my boat in to get a hole in the transom filled and repaired. After picking it up, I checked out their work and was blown away, I couldn't even tell there has a hole there to begin with, such great work! On my second visit, I brought my boat in because it was sitting on the wheel wells and I was concerned the gel coat and possibly the fiberglass was damaged. I asked them if they would be able to raise the bunks which John said no problem. After checking out the boat, there was no damage, and then raised the bunks on my trailer for a reasonable price. They also went out of their way to do an adjustment to my wench, doesn't sound like much but it is. It just proves what a great shop this is and they take care of their customers. I think the prices are reasonable because you will get high caliber work that is worth it and will last. I work for a large GC finishing up a $130+MM apartment complex where we had large custom fiberglass planters installed throughout the amenity spaces. This is my first review on Yelp, but I was so impressed with John's service at Performance Fiberglass I felt obligated to give John his due. My Yamaha Waverinners sustained some damage after hitting some rocks. I initially took my Waverunner to Bert's where I bought the Waverunner. After leaving the Waverunner at Bert's for 10 days, they still had not been able to give me an estimate due to their "gelcoat" person being out due to COVID. After reading the reviews on Performance Fiberglass, i called Performance Fiberglass even though it was 70 miles away (I live in Thousand Oaks). I brought down my Waverunner to Performance Fiberglass the next day and John immediately lifted the ski off the trailer to inspect the damage and found some damage that wasn't readily apparent at Bert's. John also adjusted my trailer board where the ski was sitting. John emailed me the estimate the next day which I submitted to Geico ins. It took Geico 3 weeks to review my claim, but John at Performance was patient and said that all insurance claims were being delayed due to COVID. When Geico finally gave the approval for the claim I'm sure it was partly due to John's thorough submitted estimate (the damage was extensive $7,100) John started the repairs immediately and had the ski ready when promised (actually one day before.) Performance Fiberglass has been taking care of my Jet ski repairs for the last 5 years. I trust no one else but these guys because they use the right materials and finish everything to perfection with a lifetime guarantee. I beat up my skis pretty bad and John keeps them together by using the best epoxies/ polyester resins available along with the right materials. I have seen his repair work on other things such as boats other Jet skis and fiberglass car body parts and it is nothing less that flawless. I have seen him finish a section of a jet ski and there was a small defect in his painting something any one else would have shrugged off but John sands the entire thing down and makes sure that it is right. Countless repairs leave that place with customers including myself asking where it was repaired in the first place. From Repairs to paint work John at Performance Fiberglass is the person to see. Especially being the cheapest labor rate in town at 85 Dollars and hour with a Life time warranty. John and his team are professional, responsive, and very good at what they do. Most importantly, they stand behind their work. The first thing to realize is that fiberglass repair is not cheap. I was shocked at the price. However, I shopped around, and even though I found prices from individuals (not full repair shops like John's) that were a thousand dollars less for the repairs we needed, we opted to go with John and I'm very glad that we did. The finished work is flawless, and when I noticed that some spots on a different area which had also been chipped (from the prior owners of our boat) weren't touched up, John took care of it for free -- even though I came back in nearly 9 months after the original repair and even though it apparently wasn't part of the initial estimate (I had mis-understood what parts of the boat are and are not included in the repair.) We also had John install two fishing pole holders as well as a detachable BBQ on the rear of our 24ft jet ski boat -- I saw that installing these on the boat was not easy because of its design, but they did a perfect job, and now all our friends whom we tae on the boat can't believe how great the boat looks -- you can not tell that it has ever had work done on it, as the repairs are perfectly blended with the existing hull coat. I also like that John is specialized, and he is up front about not wanting to take on additional work that isn't their focus (such as engine repairs, etc). Performance Fiberglass may not be the cheapest fiberglass repair shop around, but I have no doubt that their work is excellent and would strongly recommend them to others. Tips: 1. Note that repairs can take a long time (several weeks, after a potential wait of several weeks because they are so busy), so talk with John before coming by with your boat. 2. Be sure you clearly understand exactly which areas are included in the repair estimate. read more

I got hit by a drunk driver and the whole left side and bottom of my boat was damaged. In fact, the bottom had a big gash in it.
