Jason called ahead to say he was on his way. He arrived on time, spent about 20 minutes troubleshooting. He found a circuit board had failed. Upon checking to see if they had the part at their shop, which they did, he went and picked it up, came back, replaced the part and we were back in business. Registers were blowing heat again! I was expecting a large bill since it seems electronics are the major repair costs of today's appliances, but the part and labor were a reasonable amount. Plus it was nice having heat again as it was a bit chilly without it for a day. Could not be more happy and satisfied with the service and the professionalism Jason exhibited all through this process. As for the comments by others about the owner???, I know that Jason is part owner and he was the most polite, genuine, knowledgeable and all-around 'good guy' that I have seen. So not sure where those comments are coming from, because it could not be about Jason. No way.

I have been a KWA customer since 2016 and have had KWA install ductless systems in two homes. The…read moremost recent was last summer 2025. Unfortunately I am extremely unhappy with how my ceilings were left after that installation. The KWA crew initially installed ductless heads WITH DUCTS into the ceiling in 3 places, and one of them was blocked by the closet. That one was moved, and the other 2 were corrected to being ductless. But this left large holes in my ceiling in 3 places. KWA had someone come by and fill the holes and paint the ones I had the paint for. The color was never right and the texture was never right for 3 places in the ceiling. For the last year I have lived with large non-textured spots in those places on my ceiling. My realtor recently came by and said they all look like I had poorly masked ceiling leaks and that leaving them as KWA left them would devalue my property because of presumed leaks. I need to now pay a company to come by and fix these 3 ceiling holes. These ceiling areas are not insubstantial, at least a square foot each. The disappointment and extra cost of this last project with KWA has caused me to lose faith in them, despite having worked with them for 10 years (back to when Ken himself was doing the estimating and work). I will attach a couple photos, but one must be under them in the house to appreciate how different these areas look from the rest of the ceiling.

When we moved to Eugene in 2007 our neighbor who has lived here all of his life told us that he wouldn't let anyone else touch his HVAC system. I see why. They are knowledgeable, efficient, easy to work with and reasonably priced. And they are always there when you need them. What more could I ask for?

So many issues with their installation. We had them install a unit and have issues all the time…read morewith it. It is under warranty, and when something goes wrong, they are in no hurry to find the parts. We had to chase them down to get them to honor the warranty, and they were unconcerned about leaving us without heat for 6-7 weeks in January. Now we have a new issue come up and they said it's only with one of the heads. And, as long as the back unit stays off, we should be able to have A/C until the new part comes again (who knows how long that will be given last time it was over a month). Two hours after they left, unit stopped working again. Another season where JCO leaves us hanging without a working unit. Quality of new install, customer service, and diagnostics have all been unsatisfactory. Update: JCO diagnosed the issue during their visit as requiring a new PCB. I ran the self-correction for the wiring on the unit myself and the issue was rectified. So, the issue was related to them miswiring things at the last maintenance fix, and then misdiagnosing the issue at their latest visit. It's also convenient that their diagnosis would have required us to pay them for additional maintenance.

They did a fantastic job, finished a few hours early and the install was professional, neat and tidy. (The install team was a real pleasure to work with as well!) What's interesting is when we purchased our home 5 years ago, we hired them to look over the existing old system. What was great is that they mentioned 3 or 4 things that needed to be repaired, but also said they were things I could do myself much cheaper. So, instead of me paying a few thousand dollars for simple repairs, I did it myself for a few hundred. So, not only did they help me squeeze 5 more years out of the old system at a minimal cost, they proved honest and ethical HVAC companies DO exist, which is the primary reason they got our business.
