Prepped foods are a bit pricier, but that's what we pay for quality and convenience. Firebird carries supplements, proteins, pre-work out, energy drinks and so much more! They were one of the first places to have the new Ghost Energy flavors, so it was great to have an "in" on the new goods. I get my snacks, such as Quest chips and cookies, as well as race aids (Gü, Honey Stingers, etc) here. Jason is the nicest dude, and is always knowledgeable and never weird when I come in uniform. It doesn't matter the location, unless it's the manager or owner, the staff rushes the smoothies and they come out very icy, some with ice chunks inside that won't come out of the straw. Listen, I LOVE this place and frequent them 3-4x per week for a smoothie. Staff is great, friendly, outgoing, sincere. Owners are amazing! But, they don't put in the effort when blending ... so you HAVE to ask! They should time it and require the staff to let the blender run longer to come out with a consistent product, but it is by no means consistent between locations and mostly, in my experience having purchased a few 100 over the last couple years, very inconsistent.

If you need anything remotely supplement elated you need to go to Performance Supplements in Mesa, AZ. The owner Alex has an impressive background and is one of the most genuine and honest people I have known. You should not ever even hesitate to ask him or his employee Chad any questions. Do not be intimidated by these big guys at all they are the friendliest guys you will ever meet and they love to help people with whatever you need help with. Alex and Chad know so much about what they sell and they will never suggest anything you don't want or need meaning they are honest and I trust them. Trust is a big thing when you are buying things that you will be eating or drinking and can be some strong stuff. Alex is such a nice guy you would think you will be asked to come over for dinner when you talk to him and it wouldn't seem awkward. Alex is the guy you know that you secretly wish you were as cool as. I actually consider him like a friend he is that friendly and will love to talk to you anything relating weightlifting, supplements or in the gym. Chad is awesome and he is a big guy, Alex is huge but Chads arms are so big I think all the tats on his arms could be the entire Declaration of Independence and the complete Bible all in text big enough to read if you have poor eyesight. He's one of those guys you really don't want to meet in a dark alley so to speak. But then just say Hi and he's so friendly and helpful that when I go there we end up talking forever. He is an arm wrestling guy so if he challenges you to arm wrestle save your ulna and radius and say no thanks. I started working out at the gym next door in March so I decided to go into this shop. The owner Alex Frekey was working and as soon as I walked in he greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told him what my goals were with my fitness plans and he was very helpful very knowledgeable he didn't try selling me anything he not only listened to what my goals were he gave me some valuable information on how to achieve my goals he recommended a couple of products that could help with my goals I never once felt pressured. I have been in several supplement shops and not one of them comes close to the customer service the knowledge and the products/prices of this shop. I continue to do business there and I am happy to say that with Alex's help and endless knowledge I am at 75% of my goal and I am in the best shape of my life. The proprietor Alex is extremely helpful. I went into the Performance Supplements looking for a cookbook to help me meal prep. While, the store did not carry the book, instead of turning me away, Alex had me fill out a nutritional questionnaire and within a week he made me a daily meal plan and as an added bonus, he gave me a workout plan as well. Someone with Alex's training and experience could have charged me a few thousand dollars for these resources, but he truly cares about his customers. What can I say? Oh, simple, THANK GOD this store has crossed my path and that they've opened up right next to my gym! First off, wow, the prices are extremely reasonable and the best I've ever seen. I hated buying online and waiting and paying for crazy shipping, now, this makes my life so much easier! I have been using Performance Supplements for years now. My favorite product is their Vita-Grow. I've used other multi vitamins in the past and I never noticed a difference leading me to believe I was just wasting my money. Then, when I started taking their multivitamin, I could actually see and feel the difference- more energy, I was regular, I didn't have to compound a bunch of other vitamins on top of it. He talked me into it rather than going to see an actual endocrinologist. I said I'd give it a try. For starters you are charged $53.48/week for their subscription. But subscription to what? You don't get to speak with a doctor without their permission. And I'm order to be able to speak with a doctor you have to have lab work done (each time). Female lab work is around $140. They put me on meds without having a full conversation with me. The doctor I was assigned to called me and acted like she didn't have the time of day for me. She actually called me 2 hours later than our scheduled time. She rushed through telling me the meds and that was that. I started taking them and after a month could tell something wasn't right. I messaged into my "coordinator" Chloe and after multiple emails finally got ahold of her. I told her I'd like to speak with the doctor regarding the meds I was given. She told me I needed to do more blood work to speak to the doctor. I told her I just wanted to have a conversation to make sure what was going on was normal. Chloe, who doesn't have a medical license, assured me whatever I was feeling (never told her) was normal. I still don't understand what I'm paying for weekly when I have insurance and they don't give me anything in return for what I'm paying. There's something shady going on with this company. I highly recommend you avoid them!
