I called Eagle Transmission & Automotive and spoke to a pleasant, professional gentleman who assured me the car could be assessed as a walk-in, but it may take longer. I confirmed they had Wi-Fi for work purposes and provided an approximate arrival time to be courteous. When I arrived, the same or a different person advised that he would need to keep the car overnight without performing any diagnostics. I advised that I was unable to do that. After saying thank you and leaving, as I proceeded out the door, I commented, "I wish I had been told that over the phone." He followed me out the door and replied, "No need to be rude." I remarked, "Sorry," and he replied, "No, you're not. I said, "No, I'm not," and I was then invited not to come back. If I could give a zero, I would. I told the person on the phone I was visiting that the car's symptoms were the same as those described over the phone, which gave him ample opportunity to tell me the car would be needed overnight. I would have understood this and could have avoided wasting his and my time. In addition, if what is typically a simple remark incites anger, hurt feelings, or any other negative emotion, then this is a business I wouldn't recommend. Maybe their service is top-notch. The mechanics may be the best in Mansfield, the value may be superb, but I can't speak to that because of one's emotional dysregulation. I moved from Texas, have many family members throughout the Tarrant County area, and will delight in sharing this over-the-top experience, which I found almost comical.
