My son is rebuilding an old 1976 C10pick up truck. We had several transmission leaks. We were able to fix two, but still had a leak. Found the accumulator leaking and because of its location I thought I'd seek some help. Was referred to Transmission Headquarters by a close friend. I called and talked to Jason. After explaining my struggle and that it was a 16 year olds budget, he quoted me a price and we made an appointment. Dropped it off and they went to it. They found several more leaks, and repaired all of them. Price was more reasonable than I would have expected, actually lower than the original estimate. Truck was ready as promised and they even looked over the rest of the drive train and gave us a few options to maintain it, so caring. Jason was over the top, talking with my son about his truck and showing a genuine interest in helping. Skip Aamco, Eagle transmission.. these guys are the best! Brought my truck in there for a transmission . Got it back with a loud exhaust and something wrong with my linkage where going from drive to reverse is almost impossible to engage . Going from park to drive is workable but still not right . Won't admit they did anything to my exhaust but brought it back to show them how reverse is not engaging correctly . Place is an absolute joke . They want me to bring it back in but I'd rather take it to somewhere that cares about what they do . $3,800.00 is a valuable lesson in where to NOT take my vehicles ever again . NOT a trustworthy company at all . They will take it back in but I can't trust them anymore and will just pay more from a competent company to fix it . My 2005 F150 lid up with a check engine light a few miles out of the shop after the transmission repair. I took it to my mechanic and he diagnosed the problem as P0054 bank 1 #2 O2 sensor heater resistance inop. I took the truck back to Transmission Headquarters to have the issue taken care off. 24 hours later, the owner Jason returned it back to me with the check engine light on. I was forced to have the O2 sensor replaced in another service shop. One year review: It has been a year since I got my 2005 F150 transmission overhauled by Transmission Headquarters. I can say that overall I'm happy with the new transmission performance, but it came at a significant financial and emotional cost. Initially, after receiving my truck back, I had to deal with check engine light caused by damaged O2 sensor wiring and irregular shifting in high gear. The rough shifting was resolved by proper fluid level servicing accomplished by Christian Brothers Automotive. The diagnostic showed the transmission oil level was 2 quarts below normal which caused my transmission to slip. The check engine light went away after another shop replaced the cut O2 sensor harness. Recently, my transmission oil pan started leaking. I got tired of the spots all over my driveway and took the truck to the local garage repair shop. My trustworthy technician discovered that the Transmission Headquarters mechanic reused the original factory oil pan gasket to seal my overhauled transmission. The cracked, brittle and hard rubber gasket caused the leak. The new gasket and filter kit cost $20. So far I can report no new leaks in my driveway. Despite my best effort, I was unable to recover the expense associated with the repair of the damaged O2 sensor wiring. Jason, the manager of the Transmission Headquarters, never owned up to the wire harness cut that occurred during the transmission overhaul service. The owner, Bobby Starnes, produced a forged diagnostic showing the O2 sensor fault code as a preexisting issue. This bogus document was never presented to me when I turned my truck over to the Transmission Headquarters for the overhaul. When I confronted Mr. Starnes about the forgery he laughed and bid me a good day. He also reminded me repeatedly that he has "a good business". read more

I could not get my car with over 97,000 mile could not get out of park. My warranty had expired 9 months earlier. The shop I had used years ago did not work on my car. they told me about Transmission Headquarters said it was family owned. so I had my car towed over from Dallas. The found out that a rubber grommet had broke and replaced it. It was ready the next day and only costed me $85. I could not believe it I was ready to pay thousands for a new transmission! The towing was more!. They are an honest family owned company . I hope never to have to use them again, but if I need work I will use them and have my family use them. Thank you! read more

If you are looking for a good review to convince you to use this establishment look no further! I brought my 2015 Chrysler Town and Country to Transmission Headquarters for repairs. ( obviously ) From the initial call I made to this shop to the time I picked up my vehicle it was pure professionalism . My van was diagnosed with me there and they immediately went to work for me. I was using a warrantee, so they jumped through all of those hoops on my behalf. It was no surprise to me when the insurance company denied my claim, but I appreciate how the shop fought with them, and did everything they possibly could on my behalf. After the insurance fiasco was over my van was fixed in a very timely manner. Before any work was done I was given a price and that did not change. The entire time my vehicle was in their possession they kept in contact with me as to what was happening. Bobby Starnes Jr. of Transmission Headquarters is simply one of the greatest transmission repair shops ever. There is no way I could give this team of professionals any less than five stars. They have worked on my vehicles and my fathers vehicles before that. They are amazing. I had a Ford F-150 I wanted to keep until the wheels fell off. At 85,000 miles the transmission quit. Bobby built me a new one and the truck has 250,000 + miles on it . Over 150,000 miles on his rebuilt transmission. I had taken my car to this shop, and after diagnosis I was told I needed my transmission rebuilt. I then took my car to get a second opinion. The second shop did a diagnosis and said a $20 part needed to be replaced, a solenoid. They replaced the part. Car runs great now. I don't know if this shop is inadequately qualified to work on transmissions. Or if the trouble with my car was misdiagnosed on purpose. Either way, I would NOT recommend this shop. read more
