Visited Bow and Stern twice over the last month for lunch and their happy hour. In both visits the…read moreservice was very friendly and I was surprised to see how quiet they were. For lunch we tried their steak and fries, seafood linguini, calamari, white wine mussels. Considering it is a seafood based restaurant I'd probably would skip the steak and fries next time as the meat was a bit chewy. Favourites was the calamari and mussels for sure! Flavourful and good portions. For happy hour I had the half order of Thai green curry mussels and baja fish taco. Compared to the white wine sauce I enjoyed the Thai green curry and was glad the waiter introduced me to it! Baja fish taco was great too and was nice v to find out they have flour or corn tortilla options. Would definitely come again for happy hour!

We went here for a friend's birthday party group of about 15 people. Never been here before but the…read morereservation was made weeks in advance. This whole experience started off wrong they reservation ended up 30 min late, which these things happened so we weren't put off yet. We finally got seated and the waitress was so apologetic and handed out the menus. Now half the menus were for the brunch service instead of the dinner service. Again it's not a big deal , she took our drink orders and we didn't get those for thirty minutes. Now we're getting put off so it's now an hour past when our original reservation time. We get ignored after the initial seating and only have water and are waiting for drinks. She finally takes our meal order and totally messes that up. Half the table got there mains before the appetizers (after another 30 min). Made another drink order two people didn't receive their drinks after 45 min. Half the food was cold asf . Orders were missing and we essentially had to beg someone to clear the tables we had. By this point it's been 2.5 hrs 1 round of drinks missing food orders and food coming out cold I was done and ready to go. Most of the time if there's a big group of the waitstaff you'd ask what the special occasion was about? Unfortunately that didn't happen ( it was our friends birthday) so at this point the birthday girl was not in a good place and was feeling bad because she wanted to eat here. We at this point requested to talk to management cause the whole situation was out of control and it's clear to me that there was a complete breakdown in the back of the house and the front of the house was not prepared or untrained or understaffed or all of the above. Many of us have worked in the food industry for years so we gave them more than enough grace to get their act together. They failed spectacularly, they did comp parts of the meals and services but that was too little too late. Now when we were leaving we actually bumped into other customers and they had a similar experience as well. All in all I must say that this was by far the worst dining experience I've had in years. I will not be going back anytime soon. I'm not sure what broke down during service and if someone doesn't get disciplinary actions over these issues I'd be very surprised. If you go you've been warned is all I can say

While there were no…read moretoddler friendly utensils, they do offer booster seats and the wait staff were absolutely amazing and so patient with our little one. Thanks so much! They offered to split our lobster bisque so we could each have our own. We've also tried their tableside salad and desserts before and enjoyed the shows. My toddler wanted to get a closer look. The ambience is moody with high ceilings, low lighting, and plush seats. There is a constant buzz of conversations around us to provide a bit of intimacy and privacy to our conversations, while also allowing our toddler to be just a bit rowdy without feeling like we are disturbing the other guests. Of the food, I love the mushroom side with the truffle fondue. I wanted to dip everything in it as it was so flavourful and delicious. Complimentary bread with butter and blue cheese butter were offered to start. The brussel sprouts side was also unique with the added pistachios and a crisp for some crunch. The hearty mussels and clams starter were great for a rainy evening. Portion was enough as a meal by itself, too! There is a covered parking lot for those driving. I suggest making reservations as it can be quite busy!

Located at the Grand Villa Casino in Burnaby, free parking available in the casino lot across the street, but be warned that it's dirty as hell & smells terrible. Atlas Steak & Fish, is a supreme restaurant via looks, decor, lighting, seating, piano bar, table service, excellent waiters, food presentation & more. I ordered an Atlas Old Fashioned & let me tell you - WOW! Truly one of the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. (Bulleit 10yr bourbon, charred rosemary-maple syrup, aromatic bitters, cacao bitters served smoked over a 2" ice cube) The complimentary bread & butter was delightful. Our waitress Marina was fantastic. Our dinner consisted of Pan Seared Sea Scallops, Halibut & Lobster Risotto & the Tomahawk Pork Chop. Everything tasted splendid & knocked it out of the ball park. For dessert, get the Baked Alaska - it is absolutely sensational! The table service is spectacular - see my video clips. Make a reservation & get here ASAP! Hot tip alert - the dinning room temperature can be a bit cold. Ask for a blanket once you start freezing!

They don't take reservations but there's a QR code by the front entrance to register for the waiting list and the list shows on a TV screen. Arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday and the place was packed. For a table for 2, we ended up waiting approximately 15 minutes for a table and also saw several pick up orders. Menu is not extensive and as it was both our visits, we decided to order the Kkanpunggi Combo for $56 that includes Black Bean Noodle, Chili Seafood Noodle, and Spicy Sweet and Sour Deep Fried Chicken. The chicken arrived first and it was an enormous portion! Chicken was fresh, lightly battered, had good flavour that wasn't overly coated in sauce, and was served with nice tasty taro chips. Black bean noodles was also a good sized and delicious. The chili seafood noodles was also a very generous portion - we ordered it medium spicy but I personally thought it was mild though flavourful. Service was a bit slow, even though we pressed the button a few times. However, tasty food with big portions and reasonable prices is hard to beat these days! $56 for 3 dishes and more than enough leftovers, would definitely return and recommend.
