Did not realize that grilled Korean chicken is a thing but I love it here. I like adding udon noodles with my meal and it goes very well with the sauce on the spicy chicken. The chicken is actually a bit spicy though so something to keep in mind--but it's exactly how we like it. If you're eating there, they have handy tablets at each table for you to place your own order .

Went there on a Saturday night and we had a reservation made 2 days before which was a good call…read morebecause it was pretty full when we got there. 3 of us on the table got their option A (premium beef) which comes with corn cheese, salad, and other sides as well as 2 rice and a choice of soup. We also got prime grade beef short ribs, marinated short ribs, and brisket point. I would say this can easily be shared by 4 people because it's a lot of food! We ate all the meat but had a lot of the soup and rice left. It was $140 for all of that which when split is pretty good! My favourite was their brisket point. Their soup was also veryyy comforting!! My other two friends got their glass noodles and Korean pancakes. The glass noodles were delicious!! Very flavourful. The pancakes I thought were a little too oily. I would definitely come back! The service was fast but I thought it was very strange that they wouldn't provide more than 2 takeout boxes for a table of 5.

The flavors were deep and comforting, just what you'd want from a good Korean soup. The decor is not much but quite intimate and cozy. The only downside is that the quantity of meat felt a bit on the lighter side. The kimchis, though, were really good as it was fresh, tangy, and perfectly balanced. There was no welcome tea or rice tea, which I kind of expected, but the service was prompt and friendly. Alcohol and other drinks are a bit pricey, but that seems to be the trend everywhere now with the strike. Overall, a great new addition to New West. I'll definitely be back to try more from their menu

Plenty of beef slices and enoki mushroom. I really have to recommend this dish. Also had a pile of their skewers. Taiwanese sausage, chicken gizzard, and 2 flavours of wings. Not the cheapest, but similar in pricing to the competition. Everything got gobbled up. Delicious. Honestly I wish more people knew about this place. I think the only thing stopping them is the rather "bad" (not too visible) location. The 5 star rating for dinner remains.

Went for their lunch ayce buffet. It used to be 16.88 but now they upped it to 18.88…read more The first time I went there was crab and braised pork belly. The second time there were clams and lamb neck? The things that were the same: tomato egg, dumplings, steamed baos, chineze fried donut, and cold dishes like bean sprouts, smashed cucumbers, tea egg, tofu dessert. They also have hot soy milk for drinks. Their deep fried chinese donut has got to be the best I've ever had in my life. With the price of a pair of fried donut being over $6 these days, I get my fix here. Other things are standard, good but not outstanding. I really like having soy milk to drink instead of water. $18.88 is getting a little steep for a limited choice buffet with not too many meat choices. The crab/clam are a nice addition but if there are days without it, it wouldn't be worth. I would rate the food from this place higher than the similar chinese lunch box style place in richmond, K squared mansion.

No frills and worth the hype!…read more Our family of six arrived at 12 pm on a Tuesday. We waited approximately 25 minutes which is not bad at all considering how popular this small restaurant is. My mom is vegetarian and my girls had a wonton noodle soup lunch at another spot down the street. So we ordered a few things mainly for my dad, husband and myself: 1) Platter with barbecue pork and chicken (雙拼叉燒香油雞) 2) Half-order of roast duck (半隻脆皮燒鴨) 3) late of roast pork (燒肉) 4) Bowl of rice (一碗米飯) We cleared everything. The meats were juicy, tender, and flavorful. My girls are usually indifferent to Cantonese barbecued meats but they tried it and enjoyed everything as well. This is definitely a place to repeat if and when we revisit Vancouver.

They ran out of duck but do not fret because the soya chicken is where it's at. The soya chicken is incredibly tender, even the breast meat is tender. Secondly, it's perfectly marinated and if you dab a little of their homemade soy sauce, it's even better. Eat this with rice and you'll never want another meal in your life. This was easily our favorite dish for the place. Bbq pork and crispy pork are both spot on as well. They give generous and juicy cuts and the crispy pork is, well, crispy. The skin is a nice crunch and the meat is juicy, what more could you ask for? I still salivate and dream of the meat here and I wish we had something like this back in LA cause I don't know who else would make soy chicken as good as here. Cash only so come prepared! If you're a US tourist, they take USD as well but canadian is still the better deal.

Every item we ordered was well prepared and true to the HK flavors you'd expect -- nothing overly salty or greasy, just balanced and satisfying. We tried half a BBQ duck and the three-meat combo with rice, and both were excellent. The staff were friendly and courteous, and I especially appreciated how generous they were with sauces -- a small detail that goes a long way. If there's one area for improvement, it would be the food temperature. Nothing came out piping hot, which left me wondering if the dishes had been sitting out for a bit -- or perhaps the restaurant just doesn't see as much volume during off-peak hours. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but hotter plates would elevate the experience. Pricing was very reasonable, especially with their ongoing specials, making it an easy choice for a casual meal that delivers on flavor and value. Despite the quiet setting, Yummy BBQ deserves more attention -- it's a solid spot for classic HK BBQ done right.

I didn't pick the cheapest choice on the menu and instead I ordered the roast duck leg as my dinner. The place is not very large, I guess they target to serve more take out orders. The staff members are welcoming. The vibe is very similar to those in HK. The roasted duck leg is very delicious and juicy. Though it's already close to the end of the business hours but it was still tasty with the plum sauce. Portion is large. Definitely I will try their BbQ pork and chicken in my next visit! I'm really satisfied!
