I have been a patient at Perinton Dental since I was 4 years old (22 years). For those first twenty years, I would have rated the practice 3 or 4 stars, nothing special. They did their job and never botched anything, but as I got older I became frustrated that my dentist was never in the office even though I had appointments scheduled months in advance. However, this week has completely changed my mind. For the past week or two, my boyfriend had been suffering from a toothache. Since he lacks dental insurance, we tried to subsist on home remedies, but when handfuls of Advil were no longer working, we scheduled an appointment. Perinton Dental (as has always been my experience) was amazing about getting him in on the next day. While we were driving to the appointment, my tire blew out and we couldn't change over to the spare because the bolts were completely rusted. The practice was very understanding and told us that they would get my boyfriend in whenever we managed to arrive (this from a VERY busy practice). The x-rays and check-up that the dentist carried out revealed a number of tooth related problems, but nothing that seemed like it was causing the immediate toothache. However, he said the painkillers might be interfering and said that if my boyfriend had pain later in the day, they would fit us in. And that is exactly what happened. He woke up in pain just before they closed and they fit him in to do another round of inspectons. Still didn't find anything definitively wrong, but prescribed a special mouthwash. Even more amazing than their incredible flexibility in getting us in, but the second visit was free of charge. That right there would be enough for me to give them a 5 star rating, but today they went above and beyond when a new toothache originating in a wisdom tooth accelerated to such levels that my boyfriend was almost in tears. Perinton Dental recommended a number of oral surgeons, but when none of those places could fit us in on that day, Perinton offered to call around themselves and make special arrangements. Ultimately, the dentist made room in his schedule AGAIN and pulled the wisdom tooth 6 hours after our phone call. I cannot begin to thank them enough. I never expected such dedication on behalf of just one patient and I truly appreciate all of their flexibility, help, knowledge, and understanding through the whole process. read more

This is the first review I have ever written, I just really felt it necessary! Dr. Zak and his assistants are absolutely amazing! I have bad dentist anxiety, but he was so patient with me and made it so comfortable! He was kind and worked fast, and did a fantastic job! I felt so silly after my appointment for having to have fillings and being terrified about it! Everything in their office and in their demeanor is professional and comfortable, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! read more
