First let me say the staff there is nice and polite. The first clue was when we pulled up and saw bars on the windows! That's not comforting. Then I'm in a wheelchair and this place is not handicap compliant. After we manage to get in building we were immediately beamed back to the 1970's. It even smelled like 1970. Then they made us fill out this old school paperwork. That I had called months earlier to give them so we wouldn't have the inconvenience of filling out out first time. When we got to our room they were the smallest rooms I've ever seen. Again not handicap compliant. We had to fight to get wheelchair squeezed in. Then we found out they don't even have a hygienist that works there. They have a floating hygienist that travels from office to office for small time dental offices. We always book our appointments at the same time for maximum efficiency but that only works if you have a full staff with more than one hygienist. Do we can both be worked on at the same time. Then we here the dentist in with another patient and his voice was so loud. Hearing him say, "well we gotta get that tooth out. It's gotta go. But I wanted to make sure your insurance will cover it". Oh boy, a dentist should never speak to a patient about money! That's no cool. Then they had me go to this old school X-ray machine that I had to stand up in. I a amputee. No left leg. I've never seen a machine like this but it looked 100 years old. No computers in each room. All old school everywhere. No glasses to keep bright lights and spray out of your eyes. Oh then two of the staff had a disagreement right behind me. I heard one make a comment on a diagnosis of my X-ray and the other said, "that's not true". Great now we have differing opinions of what the heck is going on.... When the dentist came in his voice was so loud I was very close to asking him to lower his voice. He is very obnoxious. He needs to sell his business and obviously retire! Lastly my wife saw him at his desk, get up and not putting gloves on when seeing another patient. Luckily he never went to see my wife. Hmm. I felt so bad I texted my wife apologizing to here in the middle of our appointment. I knew then we would never go here again. We did find an amazing place similar to Bling Dental in Portland called Atlanta Dental Spa ahh yes a luxurious dental office. Can't wait to go.

Before any procedure, I asked Dr. Lola Oh twice if she used--or knew how to use--Biodentine. It is the best liner, bio-base, and direct or indirect pulp-capping agent made of pure tricalcium silicate! She replied, "Yes, we use it; we use Biobase." That was her answer both times I asked before treatment began. She finished the restoration on that tooth. Two weeks later, I felt sensitivity and discomfort when chewing. I went back to see her and asked what type of "Biobase" she had used on my tooth--what the name of the Biobase was. She replied: GLUMA Desensitizer THIS MATERIAL IS NOT A BIOBASE, AND IT WAS NOT THE MATERIAL I ASKED HER TO PUT IN MY TOOTH FROM THE START!!!!!!!! GLUMA Desensitizer does not form a bridge of new dentin!! It does not have compressive strength similar to natural dentin; that is why the pressure and chewing forces irritated the dentinal tubules. Biodentine has a modulus of elasticity similar to natural dentin, so it distributes loads in a more physiological way. GLUMA Desensitizer is not a restorative material AND HAS LESS BIOCOMPATIBILITY THAN BIODENTINE!! Furthermore, GLUMA Desensitizer forms an extremely thin layer. Biodentine can offer a more stable and biological seal, especially in deep cavities, because it not only seals but also promotes the repair of dentin tissue. BUT THIS DENTIST DOESN'T EVEN KNOW THAT MATERIAL; SHE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO USE IT. Stay away from dishonest, "old-school" dentists who don't use bioceramics for pulp protection! Thank goodness I found another dentist on Buford Highway who actually used Biodentine and universal adhesives! Thankfully, I didn't need a root canal. My advice: Stay away from Cobb Dentistry--they lie and use low-quality dental materials to boost their profit margins.
