Avoid this place like the plague. I took my car in for an inspection thinking $50 for new wiper blades. Left $1,200 less later for repairs I didnt approve of. I know I should of challenged that. They claimed my ball joints were bad even though I had my tires replaced. I know now that nothing was wrong after checking with the place I got my tires from. Hindsight 20/20, if I can stop one person from being ripped off by this place I would feel justice served. DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! PS They did not replace my wiper blades. These people are not to be trusted. My mom had a crankshaft position sensor replaced by them in April 2019. Last week (Sept. 2019) the car wouldn't run again. They got it to Perkins and they replaced the battery which cost way too much. The next day the car wouldn't start again. Took it to a different mechanic and it was a bad crankshaft sensor again. This guy replaced it at half the cost of the first one. They don't mind one bit taking advantage of people who aren't car savvy. read more

I agree with other reviewers....BE WARNED if you gamble with Perkins Automotive. 7 years ago, had a fan motor go out on a Jeep. The part and work should have been under warranty, but they charged me 3 times in the course of a year to fix it before I got fed up and took my business elsewhere. I swore I'd never go back. 2 weeks ago, I needed a quick vehicle inspection and "strangely" they were the only ones in town that had a schedule free enough that I could just come straight in. After an hour of sitting in their waiting room, they came back in to let me know the drive shaft broke while they were backing it out of the their garage. Guess who got to pay $1000 to replace a simple drive shaft?!?! When driving it home, I noticed a strange smell that I first thought was just some excess grease or oil burning off due to the work. It is a spare car for me, so I didn't drive it again until the weekend. That Saturday, the scent was stronger and I realized it was fresh gear oil leaking out of the area they just worked on. The car had never leaked and this was a BIG leak right at the area of the seal. I brought it back in on Monday, and they told me that I would have to pay for 3 hours of service "just to find out where the leak was coming from" when it was very obvious. Knowing their background of shadiness....I had asked to look under the car as soon as they put it on the lift. The manager made it clear they wouldn't stand behind, nor warranty any of the shady work they'd done, and didn't care they'd sent me home in a vehicle with a fresh gear oil leak (probably hoping they'd get some transmission work out of it as well). At that point, I let them know I'd made a BIG mistake taking my vehicle to them and would take my business elsewhere and be sure that others do the same! AND MIND YOU, they were the ones driving when the drive shaft broke in the first place! read more
