The engine in my 2013 Jeep Sahara was making a bad noise and I'd done enough research to suspect a diagnosis and it wasn't going to be a cheap fix. I talked to Stomper Off-Road and just from my description they referred me to Anderson because it was a bigger job than they were comfortable with. Anderson is bigger than I expected--several service desks and lots of bays. James was my contact there and he was very professional. He called me with updates regularly and was great at explaining what they were doing and what to expect. In the end, it was a very expensive repair but I feel that I was treated fairly and they did good work. No regrets and the Jeep is running great. read more

Absolutely awful! We have taken multiple family cars there over the last few years, two of which have come back with a "new" oil leak immediately after being serviced there. Terrible, TERRIBLE job. Don't ever go here if you would like to keep your car. read more

Update: I have used Anderson Automotive since before I had gray hair. It is tough to find a reliable place that you can trust and will back its craftmanship. Yea, you can put a warranty on anything, and everybody does (Tommy Boy said it best). It's when an issue arises and how it is handled that earns a 5 star. I have only had two issues come up out of the countless trips that got resolved because of the backing the craftmanship and what it provides to the warranty of the business and its employees. read more

Had repairs done there before... a convenient spot for us. Took my daughters car in and they said it needed a catalytic converter $1189 and alternator $969 on a 2007. Ummm no. Picked the car up, counter help made some unappreciated joke about it being a crappy car. Then I took my car to a different shop and it was 1/3 of the cost for the same exact repair!! I like this place. The employees are friendly, the service is great. Since they closed our Midas and we moved farther down south, we started coming here after receiving a mailer or two. The lobby is very clean with a kuerig, the work is efficient. I haven't had anything but oil changes done here, and the prices are excellent for those. read more

Don't use or believe this place took a 2019 Lincoln MKZ in to have headlights put in. They said two hours all of a sudden it was going to be more time actually the next day. Told them no and then they said it would be 1/2 hour 45 mins to put it back together. Got there 15 minutes after call and damn it was together. I checked it out when I got home and not one bolt not one snap had been touched. Instead of saying we got started late they out and out right lied. I decided to try this place since I got a coupon on the mail and the last shop I went to couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. They figured the problem out in no time! When they told me what was wrong, they gave me some time to make a decision about the repairs since it was going to cost $800. I called around other shops and found they were the cheapest in town to fix the problem. I had them fix it and my car is finally running smoothly again. I really appreciated how they spoke to me, too. Some shops see a woman and talk down to them or talk all technical. They did not do that. I will be coming back to them in the future! read more

I first used Anderson Automotive after a terrible "I don't know what the issue is " and "it's going to be a few days" experience with the dealership. At Anderson,they had a quote of what was needed very quickly. I had work done on several major issues beyond a typical oil change, and they got it done that very day. They were very professional, worked with me on getting back to work and picking me up, and gave a positive experience. The lobby/waiting area is clean, the people are very friendly. Agreed whole heartedly with the earlier comment about cost of Andersons services. they won't quote till they take the car into their shop then the crank out an astronomically high repair cost for sometimes simple repairs. I was a customer till they grossly overcharged for the simple replacement of a switch which cost less than $15.00 and took about half hour. No trouble shooting was needed since I told them what was wrong when the car was dropped off. I am a retired ASE Master Auto Tech and had already done the minimal testing required to diagnose the issue. Their repair was exactly what I told them was needed. Anderson inflated the cost with"fluff" to over $150!! I don't recommend Anderson but if you go there watch your wallet. read more

I echo the other reviews below. Terrible customer service. I brought my car in for a diagnostic and received a list of repairs totaling over 1000 dollars. When I tried to only fix one component they still tried to charge me the diagnostic fee on top of the repair costs. I went to another dealer and ended up getting the same repairs done for less than 50% of the cost Anderson quoted. Very high prices here. read more

Had a starter installed by Anderson in June 2017. This starter failed six days later. Had the car towed to Anderson, they replaced the starter. Starter failed 18 months later. Starter is under 24 month / 24K mile warranty. Anderson said the problem was NOT the starter. Took the car to another shop which confirmed it WAS the starter and had them replace the starter. Asked the owner, John Anderson, to pay the $40 bill for the other mechanic to install the starter. Crickets. Conclusion - warranty means nothing to this shop. These people put the "crooked" in crooks. read more

I had an excellent experience with Anderson Automotive. I had received a mailer with coupons attached and gave them my business for a pretty big repair that I had been putting off. I dropped the vehicle off one late afternoon and it was done by the next afternoon. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and the shop looks top notch (probably the cleanest shop I have ever seen). I liked my experience so much that I dropped off another car for repair when I picked up the other one. My car was having some troubles and my father had been going here so I thought I'd give it a try. I dropped my car off early afternoon. I needed a diagnostic check to figure out was was wrong with it. Keep in mind, not even two months before I took it in, I had replaced all six spark plugs and half of the coil pack while also cleaning the mass airflow sensor. They tell me it will be a couple hours to check it all out. So I stay nearby and go to various stores and 7 pm comes around and nothing yet. I have to call them to ask what is taking so long. They end up telling me that they had to clean the mass airflow sensor which cost about $55 to do without even asking or telling me to proceed with checking out the rest of the vehicle. They also said they needed to keep it overnight. I needed my vehicle for work the next morning so I had to make other plans since this supposed 2 hour check was taking way longer. The next day I come in the get it and they end up telling me all my spark plugs were bad AND all but one of my coil packs were shot. The same things I had replaced not even two months prior. I then had them checked personally with a family friend, who is a mechanic and had helped me with all the work two months ago, and all were good except for the one coil pack that they had marked being good. I fixed that one coil pack and $160 later, I went to a Lexus dealer and had them check it out for $70 and they had told me that there was a compression issue in one of the cylinders. It baffles me that for the amount of time they had my car, they still cut corners. read more

Stereotypical shop that saw a woman with car problems (while her husband was out of town) and tried convincing her she needed something that she did not. The car was towed to Anderson and they diagnosed as a bad alternator. The total job was quoted over $700. When my wife asked why they told her that there was no way to use any other alternator than OEM ($600) directly from the dealer. I quickly went to websites for O'reilly, Advance Auto Parts and Autozone and provided screenshots of 8 different alternators that would work for our car ranging from $180-$350. This was brought to the attention of the shop and they came back with the excuse that those were all junk alternators (although they came with warranties) and they they refused to use them. My wife was told they have a reputation to keep up. Well my wife had the car towed to another shop in town and we spent $300 less. I just wished we would have read reviews on Anderson automotive before we ever considered using them. They were right about their reputation but I am not sure they understand it is bad and not good. read more

Just had to give Anderson Automotive a 5-star review. I got stranded in Olathe after a doctor's appt. and had no idea what to do. I googled nearest mechanic, and Anderson came up, thankfully, just down the road and the best part, had 5 star reviews! When I got there, Patrick was wonderful and so helpful. He took my car in immediately and told me a repair on the rack & pinion steering another mechanic had done last year failed, so I was leaking PS fluid and had zero left, hence the horrific noise I was hearing. He said I needed another R&P job done since the 6-month warranty on the other job had expired. Unfortunately, I live 25+ miles away in Kansas City, MO, so it was not going to be possible logistically to have Anderson do the repair since it takes at least a half day. I certainly wish they were within my driving distance - if so, I would definitely make them my mechanic of choice! Patrick assessed everything, added PS fluid for me and charged me nothing! Needless to say, as a woman, I'm always leery of getting taken advantage of because I need to trust what I'm told by my mechanic. I felt compelled to write this review after I was treated so fairly. ...And the mechanic who did the original repair... told me he would "work with me" since their repair failed after barely a year. He said I was one of the "unlucky" ones. I'm waiting to see what that means, otherwise, I will try to make it out to Anderson to have them do it! I took my Jeep to Anderson with a bad tail light. They replaced the bulb at no charge - and off I went. Two days later, I am back at the auto store with a bad bulb again. The tech pointed out that a contact was bad - helped me correct the issue - replaced the bulb - no harm no foul. I returned to Anderson with my Mustang, Randomly the ignition won't start the car - I took the Mustang to O Rielly and Autozone to have the battery (Optima Yellow - brand new), starting system, and Alternator tested. (Thinking that the test equipment would be a higher grade). i received an estimate of 476.00 to replace the Alternator. Trusting the mechanic - I went back - paid the bill - listened as they described the additional 1500.00 of work to be done - and drove away. The next day, stop at QT - get back in the car - same issue. Pour coke on the battery posts - wait 3 minutes - crank up and go. I called Anderson for help - thinking "surely they will be concerned"... not even close. I was informed they fixed the Alternator as requested - and additonal trouble shooting / work needed to be done at a greater cost. Sorry - after spending 500.00 for a fix that didn't fix the car - and getting attitude on the phone - I won't return. Decide for yourself - they are 0 for two in my opinion. read more

My disabled, elderly mother (on a fixed income) took her car here based on the positive reviews. They called to tell her that it was her starter that needed to be replaced. The man told her it would be $700 plus tax. When she told me and my husband about it, we immediately realized based on much repair experience that this charge was heavily inflated. We called to ask about the charges and spoke with Bill. He was smug, condescending and not forth coming with the information. He refused to tell us how he was getting to the $700 figure. We called 5 other auto body shops (including 2 dealerships) and the highest price was $500. Since they had already started work, my poor mom (on a fixed income) was stuck. She had trusted this company and they were taking her for a ride. He said that he would price match if we showed him that it would be that price at another dealership. When my mom went in to get her car, my husband showed them an email from a dealership (Hendricks Auto Group) that said it would be $477 + tax. They refused to honor it because it wasn't an official estimate (which we couldn't get because they had her car). He took $100 off of the total which close to the amount that she had a coupon for, so it was really not much of a benefit. The customer service at this company is the worst. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of an elderly lady that was alone. read more
