I stopped by the Firestone in Raymore, MO on Saturday, September 27, 2025, to ask if they do state vehicle inspections. While they weren't able to help me that day, the customer service I received was outstanding. Sean (I believe he may be the store manager) greeted me right away as soon as I walked in and asked how he could help. I explained what I needed, and he let me know they didn't have an opening until October 12 and that state inspections aren't available on Saturdays. That was good information to know! What impressed me most was that even though they couldn't fit me in, Sean went out of his way to give me 5-6 other locations nearby in Belton that offer inspections. That kind of effort really stood out. Even though Firestone couldn't help me directly, the level of customer service I received would make me highly recommend this Raymore location for any of your car service needs. read more

I've been to Firestone twice now and both times they haven't disappointed. The first time I went in was for a Complete Car Inspection, and the second time was for a State Car Inspection. Both times the staff were friendly and efficient. The car mechanics were knowledgeable, and explained where my car had issues and what would need to eventually be done as far as work on the car. While I haven't had my car actually WORKED on yet, I am planning on making them my permanent stop for all of my car needs. read more

Firestone once again did not disappoint. My car would not start and the staff there diagnosed it a few hrs after it was dropped off and called. Kat the manager kept us informed every step of the way and always called and asked if they could move forward to fix it or make adjustments. I had to bring my car in for an engine, and they had to go through the process of dealing with my warranty company. Cat did an amazing job and got almost everything covered and i only had to pay a grand for my engine. My car was there for about 3 weeks but it was so worth it and my car runs amazing now. This place is an absolute scam. I know that businesses are supposed to be making a profit, but making profits through lies is downright disgusting. I had a lady tell me that my car was shaking when breaking due to my wheels being imbalanced, so she gave a quote to balance all wheels and I agreed. When it was all finished, she said that my car would not shake anymore. Surprise, surprise! MY CAR STILL FEELS EXACTLY THE SAME!! I feel like I got taken advantage of by someone's greed masked by fake kindness. Don't go here. You'll basically wait for two extra hours and give away your money, because God knows they aren't doing their actual job. read more

If I could do less than 1 star I would! I scheduled an appointment of March 26th to have my front breaks replaced. I was contacted and asked that I bring my vehicle in early and drop it off bc they were down to only 1 mechanic that day. I arrived a hour early to drop it off, and was advised that they would get to it as soon as possible. I received a call later that they were unable to even look at it, but would make it "priority" the next day. The 27th comes and I receive a call late morning telling me what the total cost would be and suggestions of other work that was needed-I agreed to have both front breaks replaced, front driver's side caliper (they said was frozen) and rear differential done, because it was leaking. The employee said could save money if I used the Firestone CC, which I did not have, but agreed to apply for because this was well over $1000 for repairs. Everything done over the phone, and was told would sign documents when I came to pick up my car. Once off work, had someone drive me there to pick up, and paid for my car. A short time later the employee returns, advising after all this my car was not done, it was only looked at, but no repairs were ever done. I was advised that someone had tried to contact me 30 minutes before, which I had already left home and did not see the call. I asked if there was some other type of discount that could be given, since now a one day job is in to three days. I was told because I was already given a discount for the CC, they couldn't "double discount." I had to get a ride back home, but was told I would be a "priority" the next day. I was told my vehicle should be done around 12:00 the next day. I received a call and voicemail while at work that it was going to be closer to 1:00. I made arrangements to leave work early and get a ride to pick it up. I arrive and see through the glass in the lobby that my vehicle to still on the lift, no wheels on. One of the workers walks me out into the garage bay and I was advised that the main break line was broken on the driver's side when they were working on the breaks (but they weren't going to charge me to fix it...). - interestingly enough I never received ANY phone calls after the call telling me it would be ready at 1:00! They couldn't get the part and were going to need to try and use a universal one and bend it into the form. They asked if I could stay, would be about 20 minutes, because all other work was done. I advised I could not, as I had other prior engagements. I left without my car again. I was contacted later that evening and they weren't able to fix the broken line, because the universal they had gotten was not the right size. I was again told I would be a "priority" the next day. I asked what time I needed to call the next day to verify my car was ready to be picked up. I called at 9:30 and was advised the manager was out getting the parts needed. I got a call at 1:36 the vehicle was done and got a ride and left work early again and picked it up. On my home I had the person I had gotten a ride from follow me, as the vehicle was only driven 4 miles "to test drive it" from when I had dropped it off. I was asked if there was anything red under my car, which I advised no. I arrived home and climbed underneath, and there was orange silicone smeared all over the rear diff cover and other bars. I attempted to clean as much as I could off. I called the 30th to tell the manager because this was completely unecessary, and felt intentional. I was told I could drive my car all the way back and they would clean it, to which I declined. It had already been 4 days since this was all supposed to have been completed and with all the issues that have already happened. My car the next day was making an odd sound while excelerating, so I had another mechanic look at it to check it over. Unbelievebly they showed me that while looking at it, the person that worked on my break line had installed the front caliper hose and breakline incorrectly--it was UPSIDE DOWN. My break line was just hanging which made it a complete hazard as if anything was to hit it, it could break or come disconnected. I called that afternoon and took the vehicle back to Firestone, even though I did not want to and had to leave my car for them to fix this because I am not paying for their errors. Finally fixed the next day, I left. The following week of the final repair being made, I have had to buy a new break line for the driver's side, because they did not clip the line correctly, which caused the hose to move and rest against the inside of my wheel and rub the plastic coating away causing my ABS line to come on my dash. My breaks squeaking, and while having those checked, had to remove the front passenger caliper to only find that whoever worked on those stripped out the bolts in the guide pins only to put some locktite and stick them back in instead of replacing them. I called and scheduled an appointment for 1:00pm a week ahead of time. We didn't really need the car today so we dropped it off at 9:00am. My wife walked into an empty retail shop except for one staff member and he failed to acknowledge her presents for 5 minutes and she wasn't waiting in any line of customers. Then he escorted another customer in and out of the garage and they were looking up parts together; in the middle of all this he answers two phone calls. When my wife finally got help she had been in the store 25 minutes. Then to add salt on an open wound they called us at 6:00pm to let know that our vehicle was finished. We had a full synthetic oil change and had our wheels balanced & rotated. The last time I criticized them in a random Firestone customer service survey they sent me. The managers solution was that they should never serve me again. That was actually said to me over the phone. Before that he bragged about how long he ran the Overland Park store without one complaint. Firestone uses a great synthetic oil and I want to go there but ever since this store manager moved there the store has continued to go down hill. read more

I brought my vehicle here for an alignment. When I picked it up the car drove straight but the steering wheel wasn't aligned correctly. They scheduled the vehicle to be aligned again and it was perfect the second time. They took care of me so I am happy. 4 stars because I had to bring it back but they fixed the issue no questions asked. read more

I would give no stars if it was available! I took my truck there to get an alignment done after changing tie rod, ball joints, and sway bar stabilizer links. My truck doesn't get driven very often so it was a few weeks after my wife had brought it back before I had driven it. When I did drive it I heard a noise which made me think one of the new ball joints where bad somehow. taking everything apart I found out that the ball joints weren't the problem. on the driver side my upper control arm was so loose I could move it around. On the passenger side my sway bar stabilizer was completely gone. Both tires that were basically new, the tread was gone on the inside of each tire. After fixing and replacing everything I took it back up there to try and make things right. The lady offered no solution to my problems other than they had already fired the person that had done my alignment. Even after showing pictures and videos of what was found when I removed the tires. I only wish I had read everyone else's reviews before bringing my truck up here. read more

Seemed like there were regional managers visiting, and even with that, after the person in front of me was finished checking in, he still preferred to help me instead. That and I wasn't rushed, he answered all my questions. Plus, we just moved into the area, so I didn't have all the paperwork handy and I couldn't remember what maintenance I just had done. He took the time to look up the history and let me know, instead of just trying to get me to have it done again "just in case" as itheir places may have done. Oh and I made the reservation on the app, but due to my mistake or a glitch, it didn't go they right. The office called me and left a message when I couldn't answer, and called again a few hours later, just to make sure what I wanted as a customer they had done. Staff was very friendly and I am for sure going to be a repeat customer. Recommending to my friends as well. Oh and they offered military discount too! read more

I took my 2012 Escape in because the air wasn't working on Friday, July 6. It worked in the shop... I put up a good fight that I am not that incompetent to know whether I have cold air or not... but to no avail. The air failed again.. I drove it straight to the shop on Monday. The earliest they could look at it would be Wednesday and I had to request to make that appointment...the only thing they wanted to do is hand me the Service Managers card... that really doesn't fix the vehicle. After what I felt was some productive conversations with the service manager Lisa, I took a half day off from work and took my vehicle back in. After waiting for an hour and a half... they refused to work on my vehicle. Mind you... I needed this to be fixed as I was transporting out-of-town guests for a wedding Sunday. I also have medical issues that make air conditioning a must have. None of this mattered... Lisa explained that the store manager Kou Lor had refused to allow any work to be done because they had found a technical service report that described the problem however, they weren't sure this was the real issue and couldn't warranty it. I had no idea there was a warranty... they would not warranty it for 12 months. I explained that seemed odd since it would really be a year before I would use it again... but okay. And a lot of places won't warranty it. She went back to the manager and they agreed to work on it if I signed a waiver to the warranty. I felt very uneasy about the situation in general. The store manager ended up watching the discussion and when I said to Lisa... I think he should man up and give HIS explanation he walked over from the corner. He said that he wasn't sure if they would be fixing the problem... at that point... I was done. I need a shop to know how to fix a car... too much to ask? I went to Ford and I definitely made the right choice as it was the problem related on the TSR but also the compressor. I don't have time to make two trips and get refused service. This was the most bizarre experience in a repair shop for me ever... P.S. On Friday... they looked at me like I was a dumb girl when the air worked... but really how smart do you have to be to know whether the air is cold?!? Maybe you should have researched it then and saved me a week... ???? read more

Had to wait 3 days for a call back, told my partner he had a blown head gasket and a water pump, would cost 2000$, went to a local shop and got told that we don't have a blown head gasket! They lie to get your money :( especially when you're young and don't know anything about cars. Just sad! read more

Apparently it's ok to break stuff and deny it here. Brought a car in for something simple. That i do not have the certification to do. Dropped off at night and picked up. At night and put it back in storage. So I didn't see the issue. Car isn't daily driven so after a while. I went to get something out of it. Since it's in a storage unit. That's when i noticed the issue, confronted them. Tech denied doing it when it was there. No other way possible for it to happen. So now I'm stuck with an expensive repair/replacement. Regional manager is at the moment. Refusing to replace the part. Due to lack of evidence from the store. Manager when I showed pictures. Plus offered to let him see the car. Which the store manager did not accept my offer. Please save yourself the headache and money. By taking your vehicle to a more reputable shop. read more

I just had the best oil change experience I've had in years. At a corporate chain. In my suburban hometown filled with strip malls. I called for a last minute oil change near clothes. No problem. No argument. Come on up! I was in and out in less than an hour. Rebates and coupons galore. The woman who set me up and checked me out was REAL. Helpful and honest and sweet. My phone was dead and she talked with me while I waited about our kids and jobs. They didn't upsell me on things I don't need. I'll gladly come back to this location in 3 to 5 thousand miles. read more

I have been using FS for about a year,,, I have been the only one to change my tires I even bought new tires from them last year I had a vibration in my tires I brought it in for them to look at they had strip the lug nuts off I had to go buy a new lug nuts I requested a wheel balance and rotation but it came back in that afternoon they said I had a bearing going out and ask him if any of my tires were balanced and they said no you didn't ask for it I said don't you do that when you rotate and says well we can't read your mind so the guy was pretty rude I'm sad to say no more I will be using them read more

Dropped my car off for an oil change at 9:15am, I had an apt. At 9:30. It is now 1:30pm and they hadn't done more than pulled my car into a bay and put the hood up. I told them to just give me back my car. I'll take my business else where. Just plain ridiculous, piss poor service. read more

I called to ask if Firestone could repair an alternator, I was told yes. I had my car towed to the Raymore MO location. A woman called me the next day and told me it would be an 8 hour job and it would cost me $1,486.03. She called me a while later and told me they didn't have confidence in completing the job and they were turning it down. I had a tow truck there to take it to Jim's Muffler in Belton MO within 30 minutes. I was then called by the tow truck driver who told me they would not release my car to him as I had an outstanding balance. They didn't do any work so this was a shock and if that was the case she should have collected from me on the last phone call she made to tell me they were turning the job down. She said I owed $25.99 simply because they looked at the car. Jim's muffler fixed my car in 2.5 hours for $449. That is A LOT different than what Firestone quoted. That type of service is completely unacceptable, the fact that this company was going to attempt to do a job they weren't equip for, take 8 hours to do it and charge me almost $1500 is robbery. I then got a call from Firestone last night asking me if I was ever going to come pick my car up. My car was picked up nearly 24 hours prior to this call, that tells me they have no idea what cars are in their care at any given time. This company should be ashamed of themselves. I requested this email be sent to corporate or at minimum a General Manager, however, I'm sure it will find it's way to the trash and this awful customer service will continue. read more

Eek! Methinks not!", the commentary that applied to this rating when I chose it, is accurate. I took the time to call around and find the cheapest Serpentine belts and this Firestone refused to install them, and told me that they could only install their belts that cost four (4) times as much!! AND, to top it off, FIRSTLY, they told me that they could not install my belts because their work was guaranteed, and SECONDLY, they told me that you couldn't go to a nice restaurant and get a nice steak for grocery store prices. Get your story straight.....the costs for parts and the costs for labor is itemized on every bill from every mechanic I have ever been to. How many folks have been to a restaurant and received an itemized bill for food costs in addition to cooking costs?? That analogy makes no sense. If you want me to buy your inflated products because it adds to your bottom line, be honest about it and don't tell me "explanations" based on faulty analogies and logic. Too expensive!! And manipulative.....if they refuse to use my parts they should have told me over the phone. I drove around until I found Jim & Alan's Auto at 111 W Washington Belton, MO, 64012 who installed my cheaper belts for cheaper than Firestone would have installed its expensive ones. Spoke with the Local store manager and the district manager followed up as well. The store manager was apologetic and offered to refund the money from what i had paid for the problem (for Firestone to repair). Within minutes of getting off the phone with the store manager the district manager also called and offered to look at getting my refund for the money paid to Carmax (it took three days for the customer care center to generate a message for him to call me). Faxed them my paperwork same day so hopefully the refund doesnt take too long. read more

I give this review only one star because I can't leave zero. I have a 2005 ford focus, came here for an inspection and new tires. I waited for my services for over 2 hours (watching while the guy working on my car stopped every five minutes and assisted customer walk ins) and after the long wait I find out that they wouldn't pass my inspection because the third brake light was out and apparently an "LED" light. I took it home and changed the light myself after 5 minutes of google and YouTube I found out that these LED lights weren't installed in 2005 focus's. A month later I find out that they didn't tighten down the lug nuts on my new tires hardly at all. So I busted 2 lug nuts and could have killed myself if one of the tires flew off and caused a wreck. I will NEVER go back here and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

These guys are complete thieves. I call them and ask if they can fix the tire. They told me no. I have my wife call back and ask for a new set of tires for a 2015 Dodge truck they say they can do it instantly. I call back and ask if they can do an oil change. They tell me they're too busy but yet they can sell me for tires? Not to mention I go there for a valve cover gasket leak and I tell me I need a complete engine overhaul. Wow! Got a oil change and license plate light replaced for the low, low cost of $186.00!! But wait there's more!! Pay close attention to this. Of the $186.00 the LABOR cost $142.00!! Screw becoming a Doctor, oil monkeys make more!! 1.5 hrs total time and labor cost $142.00?!? Pure theft is what this amounts too! Figure taxes and the oil and bulbs cost maybe $20 bucks. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I brought a fleet vehicle here to warranty a battery that firestone originally put in. It took them over and 1.5hrs to get their system to approve the warranty even after my fleet company did. Prior to this my fleet company called them while I was on the phone and asked if they could fit me in right away and they told us yes. Upon arrival they tell me it would be 3hrs before they get to me. I threw a fit for a warranty battery that takes 5min or less to replace!!!! While waiting for the work to begin on my vehicle another customer had a scheduled appointment to get an alignment that takes 1hr at most. They waited over an hr after his appointment to even try and pull his car in. By this time the customer requested his keys and left. Another customer received an Missouri inspection and received a fail slip for bent tire rods. She took it to the shop down the street and they passed her vehicle stating there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. She came back requesting a refund and they denied her and told her that highway patrol was the only authority that could refund her inspection. Lie, I am a MVI inspector. They tried to crook this lady into repairs!!!! This place is unbelievable and the lack of incompetence and shady business tactics are enough for me to never return. After several emails with Firestone's customer service promising that someone will contact me in 24-48 hrs to help resolve my problem, with no contact ever made, I have decided to update my review. If the Firestone corporate side of things only wants to comment to give the appearance of resolving problems then I will make sure that it is known that they have not attempted to resolve the issues I had. I would not recommend this place to anyone for any reason. I took a work van here for an oil change. I had an oil leak for a week afterwards. I work a lot of hours so the first opportunity I had to get the van back to them was Sunday after I ran an emergency service call. I called to see how long before they could get me in to fix their mistake. I was told it would be a week due to the holiday. Once I explained that this was to fix their mistake they suddenly had a spot in four hours. I took the van in two hours before the scheduled appointment and was told they had a cancellation so they could get it done in half an hour. They called me back in about 20 minutes and said they wanted to show me something. When I returned two hours after I dropped it off they tried to tell me that the leak was coming from above the oil filter and somewhere at the top of the engine. The guy that actually did the work tried to say the oil pan was where the leak was. Using my 20+ years of car repair and service experience. I showed them how they were wrong. The oil was obviously spraying from the filter. They continued to argue the point so I told them to remove the van from their shop. I found the problem to be an improper oil filter. Their system is the only one that calls for this filter number. I tested their filter by cleaning the oil and running the van in a ten mile circuit that includes a two mile jog down the interstate. The leak returned. I installed the filter that cross referenced to what two parts stores, the Internet, and Ford themselves called for(the filter number they installed does not cross to any of the correct numbers). I re-ran the same circuit with not a drop leaked. I called simply to inform them of my finding and they just argued and interrupted and eventually hung up on me. They did an alignment on the original visit that I will take to a more reputable shop to ensure that it was done properly since they can not even be trusted to preform routine maintence or to stand behind their work. I will be returning in person to this location and complaining to anyone who will listen. read more

This is the WORST Firestone I've ever been to! They used to be good but have totally gone downhill. This is the 3rd time I've had issues with them. The last 2 involved replacing a tire pressure sensor. The first time I asked them to replace one sensor and they replaced the wrong one because their testing machine was broken. (My car tells you which one is bad.) Then the mechanic proceeded to tell me the one he replaced was bad too. (No testing machine and my car didn't alert that one?) The mechanic said, "I'm more than happy to put the bad one back on your car. I remember which one it was in the bucket of bad ones." This last time, again, I told them to replace the bad one, front passenger side. They did not, said the computer in my car was bad and to take it to Dodge. Dodge said, "nope, bad sensor!" But Firestone charged me $80 for a diagnostic test I didn't ask for. (I'd had the diagnostic run at Advance Auto for free, weeks before taking it to Firestone. I already knew what was wrong.) There have been numerous other issues with this Firestone over the last few years, too many to mention here. But save yourself the headache and avoid this location!! read more
