We both have not seen a Perkins for over 30 years. We both are from either Washington state or Iowa. So this is what brought us in for breakfast. We currently live in Las Vegas. We were greeted warmly, and seated quickly, and our server's name is John. The menu is very diverse. I believe that Perkins is known for its breakfast and its baked goods. I ordered the blueberry pancake breakfast, and my husband ordered the Everything Omelette. It came with an apple cinnamon muffin, which was delicious. The coffee is very good. Has a great flavor. You can't stop at one cup! The blueberries in my pancakes were just delectable. I would describe the pancakes as moist, flavorful, fluffy, and definitely not pasty! You cannot go wrong by either one of these meals. The highlight of our visit was our server John he was very kind. Took interest in our stay here in Laughlin and gave us wonderful service! Arrived for a late breakfast and was seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and helpful while making my selections for brunch. I started with their strawberry crispies. You have to try these they were scrumptious. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit breakfast. The chicken is small and round like a hamburger slider. Chicken is sandwiched into a biscuit and topped with a white gravy. I requested turkey sausage patty instead of bacon. It was cooked a little more than what I prefer but still eatable. The meal was plentiful, more than I could eat so I had lots of leftovers for dinner. The restaurant is easy to find, near Hobby Lobby and Ashley furniture on the 95. Lots of parking. From the moment we were seated, the staff were professional, friendly, and genuinely attentive. Service was prompt, and the team made sure our needs were handled quickly and courteously. For that reason, the customer service side of the visit stood out in a positive way. Unfortunately, the same level of quality didn't carry over to the food. My wife ordered orange juice, and it had an obvious "from a machine" taste with a noticeable funky, plastic flavor. Her meal--turkey with gravy, mashed potatoes, and green beans--was disappointing as well. Everything seemed to have the same processed, boxed-style flavor, and the dishes arrived cold, which hurt the overall taste and texture. We also ordered a fruit side for our son. The fruit was not ripe, and it tasted bitter and sour. The texture was firm rather than fresh or appetizing, making it hard to enjoy. I ordered chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, and while the portion was fine, the experience didn't meet expectations. The chicken fried steak had a greasy taste that came through in the meal, and the mashed potatoes and gravy were lumpy and uneven in texture. Overall, the food tasted highly processed, similar to something prepared from a box rather than made fresh. With all that being said, the staff's kindness and attentiveness made the visit more pleasant than it otherwise would have been. Because of the great service, we would consider returning for the front-of-house experience--but based on the quality of the food during this visit, we're giving Perkins a three out of five. read more

I've finally did it! I have lived in Laughlin before and visited Laughlin and Bullhead City many years and always passed by Perkins wondering if it was good or not. Something was stopping me from trying it out until a couple of days ago when I was in town celebrating my Mom's 90th birthday. We decided to come in for breakfast and the parking lot was packed! That is a good sign. We walked in and it was packed inside. Not too bad, we were seated very quickly. There were a couple of ladies in line saying this place is trying to be Denny's, and I can see that vibe, but I will tell you that it is not a carbon copy of Denny's. Perkins is its own thing! The server we had was a pleasure. She was very attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and seating was great. The coffee was absolutely amazing, and Mom agreed as well. My Mom got the build your own breakfast while I got the Biscuits and Gravy combo. Both were very filling and delicious! So much, Mom and I could not have lunch later that day. We were stuffed and waited for dinner. I highly recommend Perkins for an overall great experience. I will have to try them for lunch or dinner next time I am in town. And the staff was amazing! I forgot my keys on the table and the hostess chased me down in the parking lot to give them to me. Top notch customer service! read more

I frequent this restaurant frequently. The reason I keep returning is for the following reasons: 1- Food. Their food value is excellent & reasonable. They have a great variety of food choices, including specialty dishes for seniors. Their food quality is excellent! They also have cakes, pies, & pastries to go! 2- Service. I've given this place more chances than it deserves, and I'm finally done. The food itself is decent, but the customer service, specifically from the owner or general manager, is genuinely some of the pettiest and most unprofessional behavior I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Every time I order Mr. Beast from their kitchen, I run into the same bizarre issue: the man in charge absolutely refuses to provide a simple cup of ranch dressing--something I would happily pay for. It's not available as an option to add, and instead of handling this with basic hospitality or common sense, he gets visibly irritated and confrontational whenever it's mentioned. He denies the driver's who have to deal with his attitude with a no answer. What makes this even more ridiculous? If you dine at the regular restaurant(which I have), they'll happily bring you ranch--even if your meal has no business being anywhere near it. No charge either, and here I'm willing to pay! You could order something completely unrelated, and they'll hand over cup after cup with a smile. Ranch for dine-in? Buckets. Ranch for delivery? Forbidden. And keep in mind: both menus come from the same kitchen. Same staff. Same fridge. Same dressing. But for the MrBeast pop-up, ranch suddenly becomes contraband. This isn't about condiments. It's about a manager who is inexplicably petty, inconsistent, and openly annoyed by the wants of paying customers. A professional establishment would simply charge for the item or add it manually. Or, god forbid, eat the 25 cent cost and keep a forever customer. Instead, you get attitude, eye-rolling, sarcasm and a flat refusal over something as trivial as a dipping sauce. He knows who he is. Then the servers ask and wonder why I don't dine under them and give them my patronage(with a decent tip) in the morning anymore, well look no further than their boss. If this place can't handle the earth-shattering task of providing a 2-ounce cup of ranch without hostility, I wouldn't trust them to handle anything more complicated. There are plenty of restaurants that understand hospitality, consistency, and basic customer service. I've given this establishment the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing and they have time and again thrown it in my face. Well, no more. Support others who want your business instead. This place has made it crystal clear they don't value you or your business. read more

Lakota, our waitress treated us as if we were the only ones in the very busy restaurant. Her disposition is contagious! An older couple, as they were leaving asked if I could for them, to please rate her at a FIVE star as well since she didn't know how to accomplish that! Our breakfast of course was top notch and cooked to perfection but Lakota is the icing on the cake!
