Ribs and chicken with green beans
    Samantha L.

We stayed at the Golden Nugget where this restaurant is located. Walked down at 5 to put our name in for dinner and came back to our room. We were told the wait would be 45 mins, but it was really about 15. Great service and we got a table with a view of the beautiful Colorado river. The ribs were fall off the bone, chicken was delicious, and the green beans were really well seasoned! We got the chocolate cake and sadly, it was really dry. The vanilla ice cream helped a little but I wouldn't order it again. Everything else was great!

We had a great dinner. The steak was soft and their blend is flavorful. I enjoyed the brisket burger as well, fries were just okay. Good service. It has a dark moody cowboy vibe.

Located downstairs in the Golden Nugget on the riverwalk. Arrived for an early dinner. We were greeted immediately and seated at one of the window tables. We had an awesome view of the Colorado River. Charles, Our server, took our drink and appetizer order while we scanned the menu. Charles was very polite, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend you ask to be served by Charles. He was very helpful with our questions and made perfect recommendations. My favorite mushroom appetizer was served piping hot with a ranch dip. My smothered ribeye was cooked to perfection and the large serving of broccoli was the perfect with my steak. Service and food never disappoints. It is consistently top notch. I suggest you make reservations. If you don't have reservations arrive early and seating won't be a problem.

First time coming here around 5:30ish pm, it was super busy and packed, live atmosphere ..the service was perfect. Our server was great and very attentive. I was honestly surprised by how good the food was. I ordered the Wagon Boss Cut Sirloin (8 oz) with a fully loaded baked potato and lobster, and it was delicious. Everything my party ordered was amazing! The food had real flavor not just salt and pepper, but actually well seasoned and tasty. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

    T-bone steak grilled Pittsburgh style

Our most recent trip to Laughlin Nevada we stopped at the saltgrass steakhouse. Normally, we are content with the prime rib room at the Riverside, but we ventured out this time. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but I was impressed. we made reservations two days before we dined. Luckily we did because it was quite crowded. We got a table within five minutes and ordered shortly after that. The server was attentive, but not overbearing. I ordered my T-bone Pittsburgh style came out perfect. On a personal note. I thought the lighting was a little dim for a steakhouse, but that is just my preference. The food was good and the service was better. Thank you for the experience.

Was here for the appetizers and drinks, they give good serving size of bread as well. I had some shrimp jalapeño poppers which were delicious and a Mai tai as well as a mint pomegranate drink. drinks here are very tasty. Service is awesome and I highly recommend this place for great drinks and service.

Juiciest steak ever with a loaded baked potato.

Forgot to make a reservation for our large group of 10. They told us the weight could be up to an hour, but we have eaten here EVERYTIME, and wanted our friends to try it, so we stayed. We only had to wait for 15 minutes and we got a table with the river view (thank you staff). We were treated like kings, our cups were never empty, salads and soups came out quick, hot and fresh. Even the appetizers came out before our main courses (which is a plus, in my book). The steaks were all cooked to perfection and the grump was grilled perfectly as well, I love it when you can taste the fire from. Grill. I am so glad that over the years, the service and food have never gone down it's always amazing, so that when you want to show off your #1 steak spot to your travel buddies, it does not disappoint, rather it continues the chain, and it becomes their #1 spot. Thank you again for amazing service(even with our large party) great food from fresh fresh crispy lettuce and amazing chunky blue cheese dressing, to my juicy tender steak and perfect loaded baked potato.

I took my husband to this steakhouse for his birthday. The first thing I would like to acknowledge is how attentive the staff were. Giselle and Chloe are just a two of the amazing employees that gave us some of the best service we've ever had. Seriously their service is impeccable. Their food was also delicious. I had the filet mignon prepared, medium rare with fried asparagus on the side. Both were delicious. The asparagus had a great crunch on the outside and a nice crisp on the inside. I saved the homemade ranch dressing I got with my salad to dip my asparagus in, and it was mouthwateringly delicious. We really enjoyed the ambience of this restaurant and took several interesting pictures of their decor. We had such an amazing birthday dinner that we can't wait to return. Thank you so much for such wonderful service and fantastic food.

So came here looking to get a steak for dinner. Service was the clear winner of my experience. Food was good. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. But for the price thought it should come with two sides instead of one. Ambiance is good and definitely know you're in a steak house.

Made a reservation about a month ago and when we showed up they were ready to sit us. We had a great river view! It was 5 of us and even with the picky eaters in tour party we were taken care of all the time. Our drinks were fast, and the level of detail when taking our order was impressive. Everything came out at the same time, proper temperatures. The dressings in the salads were definitely fresh (made in house) and the portions right. The same with the steaks: all came out cooked as ordered, except for the sirloin steak that was well done and was a little chewy because of that. The sides (baked potato, Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, green beans) were also perfectly portioned and flavorful. This place is always been consistent when it comes to flavors and service. We always enjoy our means here when we are in town!

Looking for a PHENOMENAL steak, great cocktails and delicious sides!?!?!? Saltgrass Steakhouse inside of the Golden Nugget is the place to be! The quality for the price is unmatched! Great service and a quality meal!

Tried Saltgrass for the first time, the restaurant is amazing and clean, the atmosphere was great, our steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was great. The prices were kinda expensive but well worth the price. This was a very good experience.

Do they usually ask for your ID when you're paying with your card? My fiancé and I found it unusual that they asked for his ID when he was about to pay our bill.

    YES

What are your gluten free menu options?

Hi Darrel, please call the location directly to inquire about our gluten free menu options.

Does the Saltgrass steakhouse in Laughlin, NV at Golden Nugget accept gift cards?

Sorry Don't know. Check with them.

Can I make an online reservation? If so, where?

Fantastic. Cooked like it had something to prove. Juicy, flavorful, and honestly the kind of steak that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider your life choices up to that point. But let's be honest--Pam Pam stole the show. Pam Pam doesn't just bartend... she commands the bar. Drinks don't get made, they get orchestrated. I'm pretty sure she made my cocktail with one hand, took three orders, solved a minor dispute, and still had time to roast me for not knowing what I wanted. Efficient? Yes. Intimidating? Slightly. Entertaining? Absolutely. At one point I'm convinced she knew what I was going to order before I did. I asked for a recommendation and she looked at me like, "You strike me as someone who thinks they want whiskey but really needs a margarita." She was right. I didn't question it. The vibe? The only problem we encountered was that a window table was not ready for us until thirty minutes after the time of our reservation. But the river view was worth the wait! We began with a complimentary Bread Basket that included excellent lavosh, and a Shrimp Cocktail Supreme sporting five shrimps. This time the crustations were meaty and flavorful dipped in a two-tone sauce. We requested and received extra lavosh with no resistance. Next up for me was a good French Onion Soup Au Gratin with a large crouton laden with a mix of Parmesan and Swiss Cheeses. Then I tried the Steak Diane Soup that came with Diane's order. It was the best version of this soup that I have sampled to date. Tender chunks of beef dissolved in the mouth carried along by a sea of broth that tasted like Mushroom Gravy. A complex dinner salad followed, with Mixed Greens (no Iceberg Lettuce at all), Grape Tomatoes, Artichoke Hearts, Bleu Cheese Dressing and Bleu Cheese Crumbles. It was here over 25 years ago that I first tasted wonderful Bleu Cheese Crumbles in the same type of salad. After cleansing our palates with Lemon Sorbet, for mains I had lean Veal Piccata with Capers and Spaghetti slathered with a delectable Lemon Cream Sauce, while Diane enjoyed her usual order of Coquilles Saint Jacques. This time the included Scallops were very small but the Shrimps were very big, and portions were generous. For dessert we splurged on two orders of delicious Bananas Foster prepared tableside, and I had a Decaf Coffee. Richard, our server, did a wonderful job of flambeeing this treat, that by this time was accompanied by a few bursting fireworks that were visible to us just across the Colorado River from our perches above. The elegant ambiance of the restaurant this evening could not have been better. We left in time to observe most of the Rockets Over the River fireworks show from our parked car on a hilltop overlooking the Laughlin Strip well above Casino Drive. It was a magical night!

Our waiter, Charles, deserves 6 stars for his service alone! He was insanely knowledgeable, funny, and didn't shy away from our alcohol induced antics. He even asked the chef if I could sub an item (chef said nope but I appreciated his effort). The wine is a bit overpriced for what it is, I sent the image of their bottle list to someone more familiar than myself and they confirmed that the price is less at a high end restaurant near LA. The appetizers were delicious. Overall, the food was good but I found the appetizer better than the main course. Everyone else had giant portions of food and mine was just a few bites. For the price, the main course left me feeling a bit disappointed. The dessert was good, drinks were good, and the view was absolutely the best part.

So, I turned around and headed here, even though OpenTable reported that no time slots were available. I dropped Diane off before parking, and she easily scored a table here. In fact, hardly anyone was seated inside the restaurant, and it did not seem like a festive Mexican holiday at all. The Tuesday Night Menu was very limited, but I selected very tasty and smooth Stone Guacamole not prepared tableside but including tomatoes, White Onion, and jalapenos, to go with house-prepared salsa and spiced up Tortilla Chips. By request Diane received a complimentary basket of non-spicy Tortilla Chips, as well as a Kids Cheese Quesadilla. Somehow this filled her up. The first night we got there, we went to one Sushi place called "The Sushi Spot" that was just awful. On our last night, we decided to look for another Sushi place, and we thought this place looked more decent and came here. We wanted just a booth and not the food show, and we got a booth. I noticed the music was very loud, I have never seen Sushi place have the music this loud and playing the 80's music. I couldn't even hear the waiter. Their menu also looked so weird and so much stuff that looked the same. The waiter was a young, maybe Hispanic guy. He was kind of rude and talked really fast. I asked the same question and so did my friend what was the deal with the Sushi and Sashimi 3 piece was? He told us two different versions of what it was, and neither made sense. I asked about the Bento box, something I have ordered at many other Sushi places in LA. I asked how the beef was done, he said is shaved beef. I have never even heard of shaved beef in a Sushi place?. I told him all the Bento box beef was BBQ and grilled, and he said not this one. My friend ordered the Bento box with salmon, and his was semi-decent but the fish was very oily, deep-fried in hot oil. I waited and then ordered the Mahi Mahi, but I didn't understand what it comes with, he said that one is grilled. The food took a while to get there and when it came, it was really awful. The fish was so tiny, the sides were steamed rice and regular pasta and some vegetables that looked came out of a can. I ate the fish, some of the rice, but the pasta was disgusting, and I pushed my dish to the side to be removed. This was the second Sushi place we went to in Bullhead City and it was very disappointing. There is nothing worse than bad food served by a rude, arrogant waiter, and I rarely write food reviews, but avoid this place, this is not a real Sushi place. You want to eat great food, then go to a place called SaltGrass inside the Golden Nugget, the best food and atmosphere with a great view of the Colorado river. That was the best place we ate in Bullhead City.
