We go to Perkins quite frequently for breakfast and we love the food but most of more we love the service we get from them! I especially want to give a shout out to Brian B. He's incredible! Food was pretty good, but small portions. Waitress was pretty good. The hostess who seated us and was the cashier was terrible. She was rude and refused to give us 20% off our bill as we had a senior dinner. She could have given the 20% off the rest of the check. If you go beware and make your check separate if you have a senior dinner. Wow. How hard would it be to have separated the bill and keep people happy!!! read more

Pretty good food, tad expensive though. Its clean, the staff are friendly. I like to go here for breakfast, btw all-day breakfast. I really like their eggs and pancakes, its def filling lol. Only thing I dont really care for here is the crowds they get, not to be that person but everytime I go theres so many loud kids and arguments between people. Which I mean Perkins cant do anything about that. Just be sure if you go make sure its early to weed out those crowds. read more

I don't understand why this restaurant did not do an extensive cleaning during the covid19 shutdown. The place smells disgusting from your first foot in the door. The food isn't bad if you can get used to the stench. If you like their menu, I recommend takeout. read more

This trip was horrible couldn't get the food right, and the only person doing anything right was the server who was covering the whole place by her self! Even the who seemed to be the manager couldn't do anything obviously something needs to change. I wouldn't reccomend this place unless you are very patient and don't care for service. read more

So. Much. Food. You better be hungry. Typical diner food with over-the-top desserts in giant portions. Someone in the chain of food prep forgot to add the fruit to the French toast so our server was gracious enough to take off some money from the tab. The boy who typed everything into the cash register seemed confused by this but eventually got it. It was a busy holiday so I can't complain too much about the wait. read more

Well, everything was super fantastic and the staff was hard-working and attentive. The food was delicious and flavorful. The place was pretty clean. The place needs a makeover for sure. But,as we were paying for the food I noticed a dead fly in the pastry cabinet It happens. But, the guy acted like he wasn't concerned about it and said "yeah, we've been trying to catch it." I will admit that the only times I do are when there has been a problem. Not this time. I stopped for breakfast and the food was.....Perkins food. Good, but not gourmet. Hey, it's Perkins and that is what I expect. Good, tasty and enough to satisfy. Clean facility and good coffee. The reason I am writing this review is not because the food or facility was so much more that I expected, but because my server (Lynn, by her name tag) was more than good. Great service without looking over my shoulder all the time. Very personable and efficient. I heard her greeting other customers so I know it wasn't just me. There aren't too many choices for breakfast in Burlington except for fast food, so we took a chance on Perkins and were glad we did. We ate here for breakfast and were greeted by a friendly hostess (Tammy). Service was excellent - thanks, Brian. Food came up promptly and was cooked exactly to our specifications. My husband had eggs, bacon, potatoes, toast and said it was perfect. I had oatmeal, and it was good, too. Coffee refills are no issue as they give you a thermal pot for the table. If you're over 55, look for their Senior menu for extra savings. It's plenty of food. My only complaint was that the front glass doors to the place looked greasy and need to be cleaned. Oh my gosh!!! Brought home big muffins from the Burlington, Iowa Perkins. The apple cinnamon wasn't cooked inside and had a very bad smell and taste. I am not generally a fan of Perkins because of slow service and mediocre food but Perkins was close to our motel and we took a chance. We were pleasantly surprised. Our service was quick and friendly and the food was quite good. My omelet was fresh and was as good as any I've had and I've had a lot, the hash browns were lightly browned and fresh, and the toast was fresh and not hard. They brought a container of coffee so I could fill my cup when needed. My wife had eggs Benedict, which although they had a white pepper gravy rather than the sauce she was expecting, were good. Her only disappointment was that she forgot to tell them to cook her eggs hard and the server didn't ask so they were not as firm as she likes. She got home fries and a large muffin with her eggs and both were very good, especially the muffin. The server was friendly and prompt and the manager stopped by to see that we were happy. This was a Saturday morning and the restaurant was busy so we were happy to have a good experience. read more
