Met with family for breakfast on a Monday morning. The restaurant was not busy. We did get greeted and seated immediately and drinks arrived promptly. However, the food was horrible. My husband and myself ordered pretty simply and yet, our eggs, hashbrowns, etc were cold and hard. We enjoy having breakfast with family but we will most likely never visit this location again. I know Perkins is commonly loved, but I gotta share this magical experience. I ordered the chicken tender melts and they were worth every dollar it tasted so good. The best part was that it was free pie Monday so we all got a free slice of pie which also tasted amazing. Stopped by here when we came through town and initially the building appeared nice and welcoming from the outside but as we got close our opinion changed. Three employees were sitting on a bench in front of the main door smoking cigarettes. Grant opened the door for us but seemed to be annoyed by the fact that there were customers. I ordered the Sweet and Spicy Sriracha burger and it was good and served in a timely manner but the experience was made unpleasant by the screamo music blaring from the kitchen and drowning out the Perkins radio. As we finished our meal our server walked by while several times as we looked at the dessert menu, he never stopped to ask if we were saving room for dessert until we were basically ready to leave. Two of us ordered Chocolate French silk pie that was far from impressive. Overall, the main meal was good, dessert seemed old and the staff seemed lazy and made the experience not very enjoyable. read more

We used to be a Sunday regular at this Perkins until the waitstaff deteriorated into an abyss. Without regard for business volume we were relegated to routinely eat our meals amongst a sea of tables filled with dirty dishes from previous diners. Wouldn't be so bad but no effort to clear the other tables during our entire meals. Broccoli and asparagus were more often than not over done or underdone. Seasoning requests were routinely ignored. Been to this location multiple times all good except this last very last visit it was the worst service ever took 15 mins to be seated and another 40mins to take our order the restaurant had very little amount of people not busy what usually took under an hr on past visits this took over 2 hrs RIDICULOUS !! They kept forgetting parts of orders and all of our food was burnt and during this whole visit majority of the staff was arguing with each other very Loudly and one waitress who was cleaning tables and collecting dishes was doing it with an attitude it almost sounds like she was breaking dishes it was uncomfortable being there we weren't the only ones there were other guest also looking for their waiters wondering what the hell was going on I am telling everybody I know to avoid that place read more

Wow, the last time I was at this Perkins was about a year ago, and since then, this place has definitely improved! We were seated and served almost immediately. The food was exactly what I ordered, and the service was great! Maybe they got new management or something. If you haven't been here lately, stop by this Perkins! Came in with a larger group on a weekend at around noon/breakfast. I ordered a meal with bacon that was under cooked (I mean really soggy), cheesy scrambled eggs with unmelted cheese, and almost soft toast. The hash browns were relatively crispy but still off. It was a disappointment of a breakfast, but I did not send it back. I just ate what I could because I didn't want to hassle the server. I will also note that the scrambled eggs are not fluffy at all, and more like a layered jiggly square. If you are looking for a dependable breakfast with proper consistencies I would try somewhere else. read more

My husband and I ate an early Saturday lunch here and were seated right away. Upon arriving at our table, the floor was dirty, the seats were ripped - just dirty and in poor shape. The waitress was sitting in a booth talking to another patron. She was attentive but brash - she was using explicit language with another table. I'm not sure if she knows them, but either way, in a place of business you should keep your slang to yourself. My husband went into the bathroom and there was vomit in the stalls - gross. I expect good experiences at any Perkins. This particular trip was a bit disappointing. There were only 9 tables of guests, yet the service was very slow. They always mess up my order. Once I ordered a steak medium well and it was rarer than rare. I vowed never to go back, but 4 years later I returned to Perkin's, and they screwed up my order, and didn't even acknowledge their wrongdoing when confronted. Poor service. After waiting 15 minutes for our waitress and getting our drink orders taken, we were told she had to leave for a family emergency. Food is always good and hot, but wait staff could up their game a bit. Friendly enough but not attentive to the details. Missed my side of sour cream two visits in a row. Also seem to have a lot of friends that eat here which is nice, but you tend to overhear lots of personal conversations. It's close to one of my favorite hotels which is convenient. I really enjoy Perkins. The food is really good, the prices are decent, the portions are good. Service is usually good but it seems sometimes the servers are given too many tables and that can cause delays. I love their tomato soup & grilled cheese; it's only $6 and if you go on Monday you get a free piece of pie with it. Last night was a bad experience at this Perkins. We arrived at 5:00 and no server came to the table until about 5:20. The order was entered at 5:23 (according to manager). Our food arrived at 5:50 and my tilapia was very cool. Baked potato was so cool that the soft butter would not melt. One other person had the turkey with gravy on the side. The gravy was congealed in the bowl and the turkey was cool. When the server had the manager come to the table and I said I was not happy with my meal his comment was that I didn't look upset! We commented on the slow service and he was not at all concerned about that. I expect better from Perkins! He didn't charge for my meal (I ate 3 bites of fish and 2 of potato!) I'm from Alabama so for me to say I experienced racism then it must've been pretty serious.. a friend and I decided to walk over and have dinner and our experience was a nightmare. We were greeted and seated at the table by the front door (very uncomfortable) then we waited on drinks for 20 minutes (there were only 3 other tables seated in her section) while waiting on our drinks the other customers and the servers gave us dirty looks,finally we chose to leave and the manager basically prompted us to do so. I have always liked Perkins and it annoys me when a place doesn't acknowledge the problem. Not this Perkins. There was an item overcooked and they fixed it right off. I suggest that bad reviewers try it again. We have had restaurants in the past and I am forgiving of an occasional mess up, but it is only fair to try the place again. It is harder than heck to get good cooks, waitresses, managers and sometimes changes are frequent. Remember the servers often get hit with jackass customers (like drunks and those who try to be served like they are the only ones there) and while I do not care for places that continually mess up and NOT acknowledge it, but I have not found this the case at Perkins. Perhaps Ashley (the pug) needs to learn tolerance and better yet work in a service industry and see what "help" put up with. read more

Absolute worst restaurant experience in the history evers. Waited 15 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. Ordered drinks and food at that time (since we had plenty of time to look at the menu) and waited another 20 minutes before we had to ask again for our drinks and then have the drink order retaken. While we waited for our food for the next 35 minutes we finished our sodas, with no sight of our waitress and no chance of a refill. After one hour and 15 minutes, a resemblance of what we ordered was brought to the table. Only the pancakes were more suitable as coasters than sustenance. The rest of the food was more cold than the chocolate milk. Upon asking for the manager the waitress rolled her eyes and walked away. Waited 13 minutes for a manager to come speak to us all for not, cause the waitress never told anyone. Will NEVER be back to this place, and possibly never to another Perkins again. Which is unfortunate, because the general manager that I expressed my concern to gave us a $30 gift card for our troubles. Maybe I'll buy some pies with it. read more

We went to Perkins at 9:00pm and it was not busy. The service was terrible. We sat at our table for 15 minutes before the waitress even acknowledged us. I had to go up to the front and ask someone to come take our order. Ordered an appetizer and 5 meals. Waited 30 minutes and no food or drink refills had been brought. Talked to the manager again and he offered no apology. The waitress finally came back and said our food would be right out. Then we waited another 10 minutes. By that time, my kids were hungry and irritable. The food was good and they comped our appetizer, but when we got the bill, we had been overcharged. Won't be going back there. read more

I am an employee of a local business. I work through the night hours and as Perkins is 24/7 it was a frequent of mine. No longer will it be, as the last 5 times that I have ordered food... I have left with nothing. One time, I didn't even get the order placed because I called 3 times, let it ring at least 20 times each time only to have the phone picked up (could hear the kitchen noise and talking) then hung up on me. I finally went there and waited another 10 min just to get the managers number and hours. Another time I ordered and showed up at the quoted time, to which I was met with "oh we don't have any of that left, but if you want to order something else I'll make it up for you." This is a problem as I am on shift, and everyone there knows me because I am there so frequently, they know that I can't just sit there for 20 more min while they make me something else. I found out later that they weren't out of anything and they never 86 something, they just have to make a fresh batch which apparently their staff didn't want to do for me that night. On to tonight, and the reason that I am finally so fed up I am going to write a review on every website I can, I ordered food again, arrived at the quoted time again, found my food sitting on the counter. AMAZED I looked at the woman who only took 1 min to get to the counter (a record I believe) smiled and said thank you and handed her my card. She scanned it, scanned it again, made some noises, scanned it again. Then told me that she is new and doesn't know how to use the machine, handed me my card back and told me she couldn't take my payment...so again, THEY screw something up and I am without food for the night and wasted my time / left my desk to go pick it up. Not to mention nothing is left open now so I go hungry. I strongly suggest that you go ANYWHERE else that is open, hell go eat bar food if you have to, this place doesn't care about their customers so I can only imagine how that translates to the food they prepare. read more
