First and last time customer. Walked in and almost turned around and left. The carpet and ceiling tiles are totally disgusting. The filth is unimaginable for a restaurant. My wife walked by the kitchen on her way to the restroom. She came back to the table and said.....you probably wouldn't eat that if you saw the kitchen! The only reason I am rating a 2 is our server Caily was very nice and our food was decent. We weren't happy with 2 decaf coffees for $7.58 and my everything omelet for $15.00. Wanted to put 1 star, but settled for 2 due to the hospitality. To start, the flies; a TON to say the least. We started with salads, and almost immediately noticed the lettuce was wilted. Not completely brown, but noticeable. After I switched to salmon, the entree itself was great, but the corn was dry and inedible. Let's see where should I start. The flies that are buzzing you while you eat. The cold mashed potatoes Old rice and tough sirloin steak. The ice tea was good. We absolutely love Perkins in Englewood. We have been fortunate to have the service of Jonte. She always has such a pleasant disposition no matter the day or time we have been here. She is friendly, smiles at everyone, and is always such an energetic and happy person. She represents Perkins and is large part of why we come to this location. The food is always great and Jonte makes sure the orders are accurate. You always see her moving around and helping anyone else as needed. You don't always see this type of customer service in the food service industry and she deserves to be recognized for her exceptional work! read more

Wow, what a great "first time at a Perkins Restaurant" experience we had on Oct 28, 2025. The Blueberry Pancakes were devine! My 2 guests enjoyed their Hamburgers too. But the waitress was the cherry on the top. She was very personable, friendly, and observant. We had my elderly dad with us and she recognized his needs without hesitation. They were out of SO many things. We had a party of 9, and the waitress was struggling to keep up. She was very nice, but the service was a little slow, though not bad, by any means. They've drastically changed their menu over the years, and being out of things on top of that was just a bummer. It's been years since I was at a Perkins But this one is special. Quality service and the food is very good. The food comes out hot and the salads are fresh. The bakery is as good as you will find anywhere. The pancake choices are great. The coffee is served in a pot and stays hot. This one is on north main across from the closed Bob Evans. read more

2.5 stars, rounded up. Oh, this place is "just okay". It reminds me of Marie Callender's with the pies and homey vibe and also Denny's, when Denny's used to have cheap Grand Slams. We did take-out, and everything was packaged up nicely: lots of condiments, my pancakes were separated from the steak, eggs and potatoes. The steak was over-cooked, making it leather. Their chocolate silk pie was very good, but alas, it wasn't my order and I only got a bite. I will admit that the quality of ingredients at all the places I've visited in Ohio hasn't been great; it's been the customer service and extremely low prices that bumps up my star ratings... I'm from San Diego, where a meal like this would be close to 20$ or more. I'm not a big fan of chain diners, and this restaurant is exactly that. My famiy from out of town we used to go there when they came to town. Love their food. I always liked there waffles and pancakes with the fruit on it(I like blueberry) the best with a side of bacon. I never liked wihip cream so I was happy that the kitchen staff too it off for me. This place is just alright and that's pretty much it. Like you won't hate it, but the food is pretty much just generic. It's like what you would expect to get before a spark of flavor is added that would make it taste really amazing. I think this place has potential if someone wanted to make something of it. The service here is good. The waitresses and the staff are all nice. They get your food to you at a good speed. The building itself is alright you can tell it's a place that is not brand new. The one thing that is nice about this place is you do seem to have privacy base on the way that the seating is set up if that is what you are going for. read more

The meal was very poorly prepared. My wife asked for her bacon extra crispy and the picture shows what they brought to the table the second time after she asked if they could cook it a little longer. The waitress knew it was unacceptable yet still brought it to the table. When I went to pay my bill I was asked how everything was and I signed my credit card statement and said "Fair to Poor" to the hostess who did not listen or acknowledge my comment. Why ask the question if your do not want to listen to the answer? For $31 I will never try eating here again. read more

Had breakfast for dinner, biscuits and gravy with sausage and hash browns and was not disappointed. Service was good too.

Was out in the area and decided to grab some breakfast from here. They have many breakfast options, and the food was good. The French toast lacked any flavor, it tasted like egg batter and bread. But everything else was great. The pancakes were sweet, and the syrup made them ever better. The omelette had some pieces of meat that weren't fully cooked, but overall a good omelette and the breakfast potatoes were great. If you're in the area I would suggest coming to taste their food. read more

David and Olivia' we're just a pleasure . We came in 20 minutes before close unknowingly. They did not rush us , and Glen the cook fixed us the best food I have ever had at a Perkins. Bob Evan's or any other comparable place of its kind just stinks. My wife and I talked about how good everything was all the way home . Again I must mention the service it was awesome. Thank you all. After a long drive i stopped by this somewhat busy perkins on a monday morning and was hoping for an above average chain breakfast getting here the hostess were fantastic with high energy and even to a stranger had some very friendly casual conversation both as I was being seated and as I paid to leave. The server had decent upbeat energy even though there was more goal oriented than anything. Which is to be expected as the breakfast rush was keeping a steady pace. The atmosphere was super delightful as a piece of vague art work which resembled an up close of a fountain drink being brought to some diner customers kept things entertaining until the food was brought out I got the everything scrambler which was way beyond fantastic. read more

My wife and I ordered carryout for dinner this last week. We both chose breakfast. Both meals were ready right on time as promised. The food was hot fresh and tasted great. I have managed restaurants for 40 years and know that customers only write reviews when they are unhappy and not when they are pleased with the dining experience. For that reason I think the yelp scores tend not to be an accurate representation of the restaurant. This visit was great. We will be back soon. read more

Ugh, a chain. That said... here's my review. We went right on the cusp of breakfast and lunch and it was busy. We had a younger waitress that was a bit harried. She did well and eventually got us everything we needed. She was just too busy to do much anticipation for our needs. We still tipped her 20% so we were happy enough. Everyone seemed pleased with the food. My mom ordered her hashbrowns extra crispy and they were compared to mine. Usually if one person orders them a certain way that's how the whole table gets them. Not here! They accomodated my brother-in-laws request for half sweet/half regular iced tea along with my request for sweet tea and kept them coming... eventually.... The food was ok.... except my gravy... of biscuits and gravy fame.... seemed more like paper mache paste. It tasted ok.... Just looked more like something I should have made something out of. All in alll it was ok... for a chain... which I despise on general principles anyway... It did have my entire family..... so that alone gave it a 5 star on atmosphere. read more

I rag on chain restaurants often here, but if there weren't good (or, at least, passable ones) out there, they wouldn't *be* chain restaurants. They'd be shut down. Perkins in Englewood is just one of these. The food....could be better. While I've had good meals there, I have had occasions of misorders or poorly created dishes. Most times, though, the meals are passable, hot, and filling. Plus, they're typically cheap, which helps. Honestly, though? The reason I keep coming back to Perkins is because of the service. The staff there treats us particularly well, with our game group always being welcome. Plus, it's right by my house. Breakfast is probably your best option here, though the chicken club sandwich is tasty as well. Give them a run if you need something fast, or are on your way passing through Englewood, just off the highway. read more

So I've eaten here several times it's never horrible never great but today it was absolutely horrible from the service to the manager to the food we ordered a breakfast burger with tortilla soup also strawberry cream cheese crispers and a pumpkin muffin we was quoted 15 minutes for pick up when I arrived was told I was waiting on soup I then had to wait another 20 minutes once I got back to the room they had only given us one set of silverware so ok me and my lady shared it the burger was really dry but ok again nothing I would complain about once I opened the soup there was no tortilla no cheese no nothing so I called and the young lady said it's all in the soup? I'm an executive chef by trade I'm pretty sure I could see if there was tortillas and cheese in my soup and being I ordered a tortilla soup it would be nice to have some in there so then the manager gets on the phone says they are busy and what's my complaint so I just decided to not worry about it I will use my own cheese and tortillas I usually go here because it's by a hotel I frequent when in town but I WILL NOT BE BACK!! read more

Writing this review at 3:00am...as both my wife and I are ill from eating here! My daughter ordered blueberry pancakes which after the first bite said, "Something's not right." My wife quickly assessed that the blueberries were bad. Our server was alerted and quickly ordered something else. I had a chicken salad that did not taste good either, but I chalked that up to preference, even though the lettuce seemed a little warm and off. Following dinner, I was paying the bill...(the full bill, which surprised me--if I were manager, I would have taken off my daughter's meal as a courtesy.). The manager asked "How was everything?" I said, "It was okay, except for the blueberries." She replied," Oh yeah. We checked those and threw them out. I guess they were uncovered and we just don't go through them as quickly as we used to." I am so impressed w/this restaurant. We started coming here once a week a few months ago - whenever i would come and visit my special needs sister who lives in the area. The staff are always friendly and since we've been coming regularly, they have gotten to know us and treat us like family. They are always warm and friendly to my sister and we always have great service. In fact, the last time we were there, someone picked up our tab and they wouldn't let us pay. Not only is the food great, but the staff and management are what make this such a nice place to come and have a meal! We will continue to come here!! read more

Very disappointed in the quality of the food I received. I ordered pot roast with mashed potatoes. The pot roast was obviously assembled from precooked beef, frozen peas, precooked onions and canned gravy. The components had never cooked together (and you could tell). It didn't appear that any of the food I received had actually been cooked at the restaurant. And with lunch costing me $15 including the tip, I was expecting a lot more. read more
