Our server, Melanie, was incredibly sweet, helpful, and so hardworking--she truly made our visit memorable. The coffee really hit the spot and paired perfectly with my scrambled eggs and bacon, which were cooked to perfection. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her eggs over medium with sausage, and she was just as impressed with the quality and flavor. I had sausage links and two over medium eggs with pancakes. I was with my husband and a friend. One had an omelette, delicious. The other had bacon and eggs, delicious. My eggs were worse than over easy and my sausages were burnt. My pancakes were delicious. I did not complain to the server as it's something I just don't do (most of the time) and it took so long to get our food in the first place that I did not want to wait for a replacement. A good restaurant always has great staff that holds it up ( and good, high quality food). She kindly shared that the 6-egg veggie omelette may take a while but I was impressed with the wait. I got my usual cream of wheat (I know, sucker for an old fashioned hot cereal that tastes like my grandmothers) and that entertained me while I waited for the rest of the food. The food came out rather quickly after my hot cereal appetizer and I'm very impressed with the veggie omelette. It came out hot, chock full of veggies and cheese, and with a homemade salsa. Surprisingly, it comes with a side of pancakes. How generous. The pancakes are fresh and I can distinctly taste sourdough? I loved the flavor of the pancakes and only for a small fee, I upgraded to add fresh strawberries. That was an outstanding idea. The strawberries weee very fresh and sweet and that whipped cream was to die for. This place doesn't skimp on portions! I was fed well and my coffee cup never stayed empty. Went here for breakfast this morning. The staff was very friendly. The waitress was very outgoing and helpful. There was a lot to choose from on the menu. I just went with the scrambler. It was good. You get to choose up to 3 items to scramble with your eggs. Then you get pancakes or toast with your meal. Food good but I really did not taste the pepperjack cheese at all. The price for drinks was a little expensive. I think the tea was $3.19 and so was the coffee. I could have saved $6 if I just had water. read more

I got the Cherry Kijafa Crepes (single). The cherry had a decent amount of sweetness but the crepe was a bit sweet for me. But it was very good. I also got the Danish Garden (5/5) very very nice. A very good breakfast this morning. I love the omelets at the OPH but I love the "Dutch Baby" even more. Bummer, but only the omelet works on the keto diet and that's okay. The omelet was huge, well stuffed and delicious. I managed to eat the entire thing, probably because I skipped the toast and potatoes that don't work on the keto diet. So yummy. One complaint. There was a LOT of shouting between the staff. There's a prep area between the kitchen and the dining room. This is a restaurant, not a library. This is my favorite place to go when I'm back in my hometown. The pancakes are so obviously delicious and fluffy. They have so many types of pancakes but the Almond Cinnamon French toast is SO SO GOOD (on cheat days ) and the Idaho potatoes are always delicious. This is the third or fourth Original Pancake House to which I have been. These places are generally pretty good breakfast spots with several hearty offerings to get the day started properly. This particulate location on Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., in one of the ubiquitous strip plazas on that boulevard, is conveniently located. The storefront is probably not sufficiently prominent as it was not as easy to spot as one might like, though it's far from the worst I've seen in that regard. The interior was typical of this chain as it was pleasant and well kept. The staff here were generally friendly and accommodating on the Sunday morning we patronized the shop. We were greeted and seated right away when we entered. Our server, Brittany, was prompt and pleasant and did a good job taking care of us. The menu had many tempting selections. I opted for the Egg and Salami Scramble and was happy enough with the taste, though the portion was a bit small. It came with toast, which helped a bit. My daughter had the Spinach and Feta Omelette and, by contrast, she had more than enough to take home. Her boyfriend had a single waffle, which was likewise good for him. My wife ordered a la carte and had two eggs and a Mandarin Orange Crepe, which she liked quite a lot. Our final bill with drinks, tax and tip was $60. At $15 each, this was a reasonable deal. I will probably opt for something next time with a bigger portion but, overall, this was a good choice for us for breakfast. read more

Average breakfast joint in a strip mall. Not the fastest or cheapest food but the service is friendly and the dining room is clean. The blueberry pancakes were very good, the bacon is decent, and the Idaho deluxe potatoes were flavorful but very greasy and didn't leave me feeling great. I can't believe this is 2023 and this customer service is horrible. I've been here with American friends and didn't feel discriminated but come with Latin friends speak Spanish mostly and get the worse service. I ordered 2 omelette which were dry and unflavored and a blue berry waffle which was 6/10. But the service is what killed me. Waiter kept giving us the stink eye and took 4X as much time to bring us stuff compared to the other non Latin folk. Tables sat ate and left and we didn't get our food. I'm hoping the staff was simply having an off day. Our waitress was not very attune with us. I ordered the apple waffle. It came to the table moderately warm ~ the butter didn't even begin to melt. When I finally got the attention of our waitress, she was more than disturbed when I handed her the plate and ordered something else. I also ordered my usual, Mandarin Crepes.
