Thank you, Phillip, for preparing my grandson's favorite pie at a moment's notice. Your kind consideration made him feel special on a day he needed it. Such a treat for the entire family to enjoy a slice of your delicious, rich chocolate creme pie. These days I identify as Grandma --- yesterday my daughter extended an invitation to eat dinner with the family. She asked if I could please bring my grandson's favorite pie. I initiated the search and began thinking settling on -- Nonna does not bake but wants to put on a good show ;-) "Your mission -- if you choose to accept it ... " my anxious brain has the annoying habit of voice over prologue narrative of my favorite tv shows when I was in grade school. Fortunately, Phillip was the kind voice on the other end of the call to Perkins. He listened with empathy and put me on a brief hold. Phillip did a quick check --- extended apologies for not having one already waiting for an anxious Grandma call. Furthermore, he would prepare a chocolate creme pie that I could pick-up at 3:30 - I looked up at the clock - it was several minutes after 3. I ate breakfast here. I ordered an omelette. It was cooked fine and the eggs were fluffy. The sausage was good as well. The coffee was what you would expect from a breakfast chain. The service was fine and quick enough and the server was friendly. The bottom line is when you go into a Perkins you know what you are going to get and this was a fine example of that. read more

Usually Perkins is good. This was the worst food ever. I ordered a southwest chicken salad - the avocados were rubbery (how does that even happen) the chicken was non existent, and my salad had core ends of lettuce. My husband had a breakfast burger that had extremely burnt bacon, and was so greasy it was inedible. The staff was not friendly and never once asked how our meal was. Cross this off your list, don't waste your time, money, or calories. read more

The food is very good. Their new pancakes on their special are excellent. There's 0 cal coffee is $3.20. Seems like they were trying to make a bunch of money on coffee. I'm an old guy, and I just take a cup or two of coffee at most but that just seems like it's extremely expensive. read more

This is my favorite place to go for breakfast, The eggs Benedict is one of my favorite dishes. You won't leave hungry that's for sure. I've tried this same dish down the road and it doesn't compare to here. Also the service is much friendlier than other places I've tried. My brother and I were in PA last week end, We stopped at Perkins which we usually do when in town, But this time I was very dissatisfied. I had breakfast meal of 2eggs hashbrowns and bacon. I asked what kind of bread went with it and she said I would none I would have to pay $2.00 more for toast I said forget it. The meal was $6.99. That evening one of our family told us to go to another restuarant right above Perkins so we did. We were very pleased with their prices and service. While looking over the menu I saw the same meal only the toast was included and was only$4.99. The next time we come to town you can bet we will NOT go back to Perkins. I am sorry because we have been stopping their every time we would get in town and that has been alot of years. read more

Me, my husband and kids absolutely love this place. Very friendly staff and the food is delicious and we always have a great time here! The only complaint is that it has a bad smell sometimes and the decor is a bit depressing and drab. But the food is always good! read more

My wife and I ate there Tuesday and her turkey meal was very good and my loaded potato soup was very good. But my beef stroganoff was terrible. It was bought out less than 2 minutes after my bowl of very hot soup was brought out. By the time I finished my soup, the stroganoff was cold.The noodles looked grayish brown and were grossly over cooked. The meat was dried out and the "Savory Cream Sauce" was what appeared to be runny sour cream drizzled over top of the beef. There were pieces of minced mushrooms and onions, some of which were almost raw. Worst meal I have had at any restaurant in many years. Server did not know what pies were available. She said they have most of the pies and we were told to look at the menu. Turns out only 3 of the 10 pies listed were available. It seemed like we were keeping her from something more important. And yes she had other tables, but it was not that busy and there were 2 or 3 other servers there. Normally Perkins food is good and a good value. read more

At first glance, Perkins is a cute, small, cozy restaurant. As you walk through, you will find that the floor looks like it has never been cleaned, the booths always have food on it, the tables are always sticky, and the windows are always dirty. It is not a very clean place to sit and enjoy food. The food however, would not be very enjoyable anyway even if the place WAS clean. I've seen many plates sent back because the food was undercooked, hair in it, bugs in it, and the wrong order. Some food options are decent, but have a generic flavor. I have seen some of the employees use their dirty, bare hands to handle food, mostly in the bakery section. Some of the servers are very nice and friendly, but I've seen many of them be completely rude to other coworkers and customers. I would NOT recommend Perkins to anyone, as it would be a disappointment. read more

Very racist and dirty establishment. What ever you do, don't take your family here unless you want the servers to make fun of you in the pantry and call you names like "Brown's at Table 21...got chicken of course". I had a terrible experience and was terminated because I'm from Johnstown and the General Manager found out I was Puerto Rican. I once asked if we could hire a more diverse staff and was laughed at and was told we would lose our customers. Also, peak your eye in the kitchen. They make food with bare hands, slice their sandwiches and toast with dirty knives sitting in cold and dirty sanitizer water, and it's hard to get employees to wash their hands when required. Poorly managed. Regional manager has to drive 2 hours away to visit the restaurant and informs management when she'll be there so they have time to prepare. I'm not I won't even going to give it stars because it doesn't deserve it I went for my first time with my husband Saturday well let me just start out by my husband wind up getting meatloaf with a side of corn the corn came out with too much pepper on it The lady went back got him a new one brought it back still had more pepper and was room temperature then I get my order and it wasn't even my order because the lady took my order and I didn't clearly hear what I said of course they don't write write anything down and before my right order was even on the table the receipt was on the table which I find very rude will definitely never go here again my first time ruined it for me and my husband!!!! read more

Horrible!! Has really gone downhill. Food was expensive & was lousy, menu very limited. Seemed like all they want to do is push breakfast meals & poultry. Only saw one employee that looked like he or she was over 16! Establishment itself was messy. Tables were moved to accommodate a larger party, which opened up a space on the floor. Was covered with trash from previous diners & was just left there. Won't be returning-while we know it's not Spago's, definitely not what it used to be. We should have gone with our initial instinct; posted on the front door was an ad requesting help for all positions. Said to my husband, "that can't be a good thing,"-proved to be true. read more

Been here before years ago was good then going down hill now though. Breakfast was cold toast was stale and is there a shortage of beacon? Why only two slices of wrinkly beacon strips?
