Me and my lady having a good time at Coney!

We've been there a few times and also got takeout several times. There are food is always good, they have the shrimp soup on Fridays one of our favorites, very flavorful and very filling. they also have bar service which we like!

Delicious food! You just have to get their wings. The service was super quick and nice even on Valentine's day! Our server was fantastic and it was a joyous dinner date!!!

Very nice place on Philadelphia St in Indiana Pa. meeting my freshman son there for lunch- my parents and I chose this place because my mom read an online review. We got here around 12:45 and had our choice of tables. The place is named after Coney Island. No, NOT THAT CONEY ISLAND! It's named after a small Island in the north west area of IRELAND. There's Irish stuff all over the walls, lots of Guinness stuff everywhere... we ordered food. 2 fish sandwiches, a chicken sandwich and a black & blue burger with bacon. The fish was beer battered and came out piping hot. The batter had a hard time staying on the fish and by the 4th bite- my dad had a handful of batter & semi soggy bun in his hand. My mom was somehow able to keep hers together. My sons chicken sandwich had the biggest fried chicken breast u could ever imagine on a bun. It looked amazing and I was jealous. My Black & Blue Burger was the regular size. They make a 12oz burger but DAMN, I wasn't that hungry. It was perfectly cooked w just enough spice, blue cheese and 2 thick slices of bacon. Delicious. Their fries come in cups and we're nice & crispy. The cole slaw was really good- just a little tang and cut like KFC. Service was a bit slow for them being not busy but we enjoyed our lunch. Thank you Coney Island...

Bleu Cheese burger. Didn't come with condiments and the coleslaw we ordered. It was flavorless!

We usually like this place, except this last time. We and a couple of friends ordered wings, fries, burgers. All was nasty!! Wings unflavored, burger unflavored, fries cold and soggy. Missing coleslaw that we ordered. Burgers didn't have condiments. We should of just stick with our usual, black beans and rice with salmon or children.

    So good!

The first time I was here I loved it! However, the last time I was here I wasn't overly impressed. There were 5 of us out to dinner and we made a reservation. We were sat a couple minutes prior to our original time. The server came over about 5 minutes later. They have a decent beer list. However, I ordered 2 beers and they didn't have them. Finally, after two attempts I ordered the Coney Island Overpass, which was good. The beer is reasonably priced. I was just surprised that they were out... I mean I is the weekend?? I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer. It came out and was barely warm. It had no flavor. There were barely any onions in it let alone cheese. It was truthfully the worst French onion soup I've ever had. I ordered wings as my main meal, which were delicious! They're huge and I wound up taking half home. The hot had good flavor and so did the garlic Parmesan. The service was okay, but the first time I was here it was much better. I do know they have good fried pickle. I hope to come back for a better experience.

It's bar food. There's nothing else to say honestly. Just kind of mid but okay for the price. They have good fish and chips!

My husband and I ate inside this location of the restaurant one time for lunch. The seating hostess promptly seated my husband and me at a table. Soon our waiter arrived and took our orders. I noticed that they both wore their face masks around their chins. I did feel happy to see a container of hand sanitizer near the salad bar. The salad bar cost only $5 per person, and it included many ingredients to assemble a tasty salad as well as ready-made potato salad, macaroni salad, and some fruit. For our entrees, my fish and chips consisted of somewhat thin fish filets (my husband commented that they almost looked like fish sticks!) with tartar sauce and crispy French fries. My husband ate a chicken sandwich. He does not like to discuss his food, so he simply said that this sandwich and the accompanying French fries tasted "fine." His drink was raspberry tea, and it had an extremely raspberry flavor that he liked. The waiter did bring a drink refill. The waiter also bought out our bill promptly. The total price was $41 plus a tip. He thanked us and told us to have a wonderful day. A couple of hours later at home, my husband commented that his stomach felt a little upset, but he did not get seriously sick.

Maybe it was good at some point or, maybe we had a really off day, but our experience was pretty subpar. Our server seemed like she had no idea what was going on and that she didn't want to be there that day. At one point, another server brought something over and my daughter asked "is our server new" and the other server said no, she had been there several years. So there was no excuse for not knowing answers to basic questions on menu items. None of our food was bad, but none of it was great, either. Everything was just OK. Not much flavor and pretty generic. Things like pancakes that you think couldn't get screwed up were boring and flavorless. Our last hope was the "famous" pies that our server told us about several times. When we asked about what flavors they had that day, she said she had to check (which seemed odd after telling us about them several times). Then she had to go back and check the flavors again because she forgot them. We did end up trying boston cream pie and dutch apple pie and they were both OK, but not anything that I couldn't find somewhere else. Overall, really disappointed in basically everything about our visit here.

When you are…read moremissing something that is a Pittsburgh/Western Pennsylvanian staple, you kind of go hard and jam as much of your favorites in during a visit. First, let me get this out of the way. They appear to currently be going through a remodel. Which means that this place doesn't look all that great aesthetically. There are noticeable things missing (booths) and you can see progress being made (paint) but they are nowhere near completion and it made for an odd experience. With that out of the way, let's get to the food and service. When we walked in we were greeted...I think...and led to a table. I think this because when we came in no one was at the host stand, so I took this opportunity to use the facilities and wash my hands. When I came out, my Dad and brother were gone and no one was at the host stand yet again. I just decided to walk into the restaurant until I found them. We were seated at a table and left to look over the menu. It felt like it was forever before our server showed up at our table. By this point we already knew what we were going to get. But she only took our drink orders and disappeared again. Finally returning with our drinks we placed our orders. Now, if you know, you know, you have to do the salad bar here, add it onto your meal and be happy with that decision. I had ordered the Shredded Pot Roast Sandwich with mashed potatoes as my side (gravy over everything) and upped my second side to be the salad bar. Our server disappeared again and left us to hit the salad bar. I felt like the salad bar was lacking variety during our visit. There was enough there to make a decent salad, but not enough to make an amazing salad. I circled the bar a few times as items would be on one side or the other and reaching across just isn't a smart thing to do. A big bummer to me was that we weren't here on their potato soup day, by far the most superior of their soups. We dug into our salads and I made one more trip to the salad bar before my food arrived. Not for another salad, but kind of an unofficial side for my main course. I dug into that meal and savored every bite. Who knew the next time I would be back to one of these locations as they aren't a national chain. With that notion in my head I knew I wanted dessert. I had to get their Grilled Stickies a la Mode. Our server, who disappeared a lot, just happened to show up and ask that 'save room for dessert' question they always sneak in there. I said absolutely and ordered the aforementioned dessert. We sat there for a while and waited. My brother going back to the salad bar a few times for fruit and the bar's selection of desserts. About five minutes go by, then maybe ten, and my dessert is nowhere to be seen. Finally the server showed up and had to apologize since the kitchen never put it on to be made. She went into the kitchen and came back out with it. It was a bit of a disappointment as you can tell it was put together rather fast after forgetting about it. It looked sloppy, and was lacking enough of the syrup/sauce, what sauce was on the plate covered the ice cream and hardened before getting to the grilled stickies. It still hit, I just had to be sparing with bites to get the ratio of sauce to bite right. Oh, nostalgia, you have been fed for a bit. Hopefully if I ever come back to this location they will fully be through the remodel and have enough staff to make this a smoother experience.
