I had the pleasure of eating breakfast here today. The food was good and the facility in good condition/well-maintained. But I what I want to talk about most is my server, Marion. Marion is an institution at this restaurant. She was prompt, professional, and efficient. But above all, she was friendly and FULL of knowledge about the area. She answered my questions and made several suggestions of sites to see. She even brought me a pamphlet of the state parks. Our family stopped for dinner on 12/14/24. At 8:00 pm, the girl at the front counter said we are closed because of bad weather. The weather was not bad at all. A little on the cold side but no precipitation at all. As soon as I said are you serious,her reply was that they only had one server and one cook and they were slammed with tickets. There was lucky if there was 5 cars in the parking lot. Not good to lie to your customers. read more

The worst meal we've had on this trip to the US. My food was not well cooked and generally lukewarm. The butter didn't melt on my pancakes and the sausage was rubbery and laughably expensive for what was served. The place was nearly empty at 8am on a Sunday , there was a draft and too loud 80s music playing. The service was poor. We were given dirty flatware and had to grab our own off another table, there was no offer of refills, and upon completing our meal the server was nowhere to be found so that we could get our check and get going. The wifi was so poor I had to use up the last of my cash to settle the bill as the card machine wouldn't work. A wholly unsatisfying experience and not a good way to start a long day of travel. First time eating at Perkins and I must say, I wasn't very excited. But when MIL is treating and she picked the place, you go. "I'll buy you a nice dinner afterwards if you don't find something" hubs assured me as I walked in secretly eye rolling. In short, kids were happy, hubs was happy and MIL was happy. Kids meals offered plenty of food (standard kids meal fare...grilled cheese, Mac and cheese and a surprise of a Mickey Mouse shaped chocolate chip pancake plate my girl LOVED) and even a chocolate chip filled chewy cookie to go. I did appreciate the healthy side salad option which one daughter did go for! (Yay for good parenting!) Hubs is happy with egg on anything and his med-rare burger served with crispy shoe string fros was no different. MIL got down with a mix and match combo...tomato basil and grilled cheese. Classic and enough for her to take one leftovers. For a vegan, this place isn't ideal. Salads all contained meat and I get bitter about paying the same price for a salad asking for it without the chicken. I went for oatmeal and asked for it Sand mike and with fresh blueberries on top. It was fair. The side broccoli I stole from my daughter was delish. I was satisfied fine and was just happy about the consonant and conversation. I definitely would not head here again by choice. What seems to me to set this location apart was the small town friendly charm, the used books for sale for charity, and the handmade personalized necklaces which I loved! Oh, and the cow sculpture out front. Big pies to go which I'm guessing is standard at all locations. Perhaps pick one up if in a pinch. Ehh read more

There food sucks. My chocolate chips were burnt and tasted like charcoal. I would not recommend eating at Perkins.

Really 20 minutes just to get served coffee? Our waitress was good and was certainly trying. There were 20 of us, but come on other staff...help each other out. Perkins needs to up the quality of the food or lower the $$$ when southern chicken biscuits come with two pieces of sliced breaded chicken, it barely counts! Orange processed cheese that doesn't melt and has no flavor is horrible! Gravy that appears like glue.,... Just bad. Waitress needs to get a job at a restaurant that serves food, not crap. Saturday, around 630pm. Friendly, good food, decent service, decent prices. When I approached the counter to pay my bill as we left a female server with "Carmen" name tag stood in front of the register texting or doing Facebook on her cell phone and ignoring me for a loooong time. Was at Perkins last night .This is the second time we had the same waitress .We were there about 2weeks ago .For some reason she makes us wait a long time before taking our order .I realize it was busy and came and took our orders for drinks but didn't take our order for food. We waited a half an hour and decided to leave because she wasn't taking our order and people that came after us was already eating .When a put my coat on she came over with an attitude and said I guess you had enough time to look at the menu .You know I'm the only waitress down here .Finally the manager decided to pitch in and help .People that sat behind us had their order taken within 10 minutes and their meal within 15 minutes. When we were there 2 weeks ago we sat there a quite a while and I told the waitress we were ready to order and she snapped and said I not finished taking the table in backs order .Which I had no way of knowing so I apologized .I don't think I'll be going back there again! read more

I enjoyed a hot breakfast, Donna was an excellent waitress.

Both mine and my husbands entrees were over cooked and very unappealing. Our server was embarrassed by the quality coming out of the kitchen and went to get the manager who comped one of the dinners. He tried to make things better by sending me home with a muffin that was stale and dry. Seems to be a theme with this restaurant. read more

Waited awhile for the food and got served the wrong potatoes, they were undercooked either way so I asked for the ones I ordered and when I did they almost instantly brought me out the right ones and those were practically raw, it completely turned me away from the rest of my food.. then my girlfriends French toast ended up looking like a regular piece of toast with how dry it was. We have been to this Perkins many times, have always been seated promptly and waited on very shortly thereafter. The waitresses are nice and efficient. The food has always been hot, delicious and satisfying. We have been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner with similar results each time. read more
