Charming neighborhood place! Breakfast all day, reasonable prices, excellent specials, and Theresa (our waitress) was warm, funny, and clearly experienced. Lunch counter! Big, clean bathrooms! The menu is pretty big and varied for a small place. Everything was HOT when we got it - 3 breakfasts and a burger. You can get a side of pickled beets! And they were incredible. If I lived locally, I'd be happy to be one of the regulars - and the regulars and Theresa made us feel like one of them, even though we were just passing through!

Amazing! That's the word of the day and it can certainly be applied to the eggs Benedict that our lovely waitress Gene Marie recommended. E-Lanes's Diner is a tiny little slice of Americana in an out of the way neighborhood outside of Scranton and the staff couldn't be more welcoming -- in fact, with the way they treated us we felt like long lost relatives. Everything here is homemade and locally sourced. Having travelled the world, I can't remember ever having a better breakfast -- if you make it to this little corner of the world, don't miss it a visit to E-Lane's Diner!

What a great find! The breakfast is incredible. This is not diner food. It's a home cooked meal. Highly recommend

I originally heard about this place from my one older sister, she told me I have to check it out, I was like, yes, I do. Walking in relatively early today there were a few people sitting in the main section, I chose the back to not disturb anyone. Greeted friendly, looking through the menu I decided to go with the calabrese bowl with had eggs, fried onions, bell peppers over home fried potatoes. Now I never realized this until telling my sister I stopped but they don't automatically add cheese in most of their dishes so if you like cheese just remember to ask them. This was very delicious, now I do my go to being OJ and the big glass of moo juice, none of that coffee for me. If you are a "no coffee" or a "coffee" person buy my tee and support the show. Rarely in my travels do I encounter such a cute coffee spot that deserves a special shout out, but Blackwatch Cafe is worth a caffeine fix detour when traveling through the Scranton area. The unique vibe hits you as soon as you walk in, as there's decor worth a look in almost every direction. It's a tasteful collection of fixtures, pictures, and figures of all kinds. There is parking nearby the cafe, and the place offers a walk up window should you wish to sit on the patio outside or grab a drink to take for a stroll in the park. I ordered an iced mocha latte (half sweet), and it was prepared to perfection with a smooth taste and just the right amount of sweetness, and no hints of bitterness. It was probably the best iced mocha drink I've had in over a year. Service from the several ladies working there was really friendly. All in all, Blackwatch Cafe was a top notch cafe experience for me, and I'd wholeheartedly recommend others give them a visit when visiting Scranton. It's definitely the kind of coffee shop the world could use more of, offering a quality product, as well as a unique cafe experience. The park offers a wonderful place to stroll as well.

They are putting out their version of a smash burger, I got the American Standard which has lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and pickles. This came with a side of crinkle cut fries. My server was professional, explained that at the time I was there they did offer both breakfast and lunch with at that time with the exception of soup. My fries were hot, tasted good with a little dash of salt. My burger was nice and juicy; the tomato was a thick cut reminding me of the ones that come out of my sister's garden. The location is off the beaten path so if you're not looking it may be missed, it is located inside the Petro Truck Stop in Dupont. The prices look average, a definite recommend.
