    Eggs Benedict
    MJ R.

This place is on the up and coming list, and I'm glad I got here now before people find out how good it is. Located in the former My Sister's Kitchen location, on Main Street in Duryea, the new owners are keeping with the tradition of serving the finest. The seating is limited since it's a small location, about 30 seats max. The Sunday morning service was impeccable. The waitress was pleasant, got all the orders spot on correct & delivered promptly for a party of 4. Hubby had the Eggs Benedict and he said the eggs were prepared perfectly, along with the hollandaise sauce, which was buttery and delicious as it should be. I had the breakfast special where you can choose the number of eggs (1,2 or 3), choice of ham, sausage or bacon, choice of toast, and a choice of either hashbrowns or homefries. I chose the hashbrowns, and they were a good choice. Eggs were a perfect over medium, as I had requested, 3 large nicely cooked and flavorful straps of bacon and wheat toast. But the hash browns stole the show! They were light, crispy, not greasy, and had a great potato taste! I shouldn't have more... but I wish I had more! They were delicious. We enjoyed our Sunday brunch at this cozy little spot. it was perfect. I can only imagine how good their lunches are...hopefully...if I get back to visit the area, I may get to try it again. If ur local...don't miss this place!!

We frequently stop down for breakfast. The food selection is very good. It changes periodically. Great service, friendly staff.

This review was very mixed. We'd heard great things about this place and wanted to try a new place…read moreas we've started exhausting a lot of local places. The decor was great, the drinks were FANTASTIC, my food was about a 5 out of 10. I had the carbonara. Very oily and not creamy at all. I would have used a different blend of cheeses to make it creamier and less oily. My guess is they used Asiago. Not bad but not as great as I was expecting. My wife had the red beet salad. Shockingly a $20 salad with canned beets on it. Mediocre at best but the canned beets ruined it. If your getting a salad that features a specific vegetable wouldn't you want that vegetable to be the best highlight of the salad? That was the good part. The service I can't even explain. I'm not sure what happened because if it were like this everyday they'd be closed. We walked in downstairs and was told to sit wherever we wanted and then we were forgotten about. The bartender finally came over after my wife was looking her way for 20 minutes. Bartender apologized for forgetting about us. No waitresses anywhere. The AC I think was off because it was cooler outside on a warm muggy PA night than it was inside. The bar was about 3/4 full and there was one table seated and we noticed about 3/4 of the outdoor seating was occupied as well. Not super busy at all. We waited about 20 minutes before we were approached. We ordered water until we could got our menus and reviewed them. Water never came. Someone else came over and asked us about ordering drinks. We ordered drinks and asked about our water. Water never came. Drinks came. Then yet a different person came over a few minutes later to take our food order. We ordered water again since we were planning on drinking more. My wife's appetizer came out, meatballs. Pretty good, similar but somewhat different flavor than my Italian mothers recipe. When the app came out that person finally got us silverware, napkins and our water. Food came a little later. That's described above. During dinner we had to get up to get refills on water and were never offered additional drinks or anything. We finally stopped someone and asked for our check. My wife had to go to the bar to pay the bill. No one ever came back to the table. At one point earlier we were asked who our waitress was and we all looked at each other because 4 or maybe 5 people were at our table at some point but it was like we still couldn't get stuff we needed. My wife paid with a card she had forgotten to activate and it declined. The bartender gave her the slip and the card and never noticed or told her. She realized it at the table. We had to go back to the bar and pay again because after cleaning that one table everyone except the bartender would vanish. Finally we paid, sweating our asses off in a corner table with the most bassy sound system pounding for 2 hours we got out of there and went to a local bar for drinks. I would have loved to have enjoyed this place and loved to have had more drinks because their bar was the highlight of the experience but it was clear they didn't care about us at all. And we were sweating to death.

Justin and Sandy treated us great and were very friendly and attentive. We ate in the downstairs area which had great ambience with different colored lighting and a fireplace. There was a nice stage area for the bands . Definitely will go back and highly recommend!

First thing: one employee no…read moreshowed, the other one did but an hour and a half late making us miss a planned event later that day because "breakfast"(really lunch) lasted 2-3 hours. The employee let me know he didn't buy most of the food we ordered and thus had to go back out to the store to buy more food. The food that was supplied was expired and rancid. The "homemade" bloody Mary mix was actually Mrs t's mix but a year past it's expire date. The employee let me know that the boss told her "they won't know that it's old or that it doesn't have vodka". The items to put in the omlette were wilted/brown/ just gross. I was told I'd be refunded but a month and a half later I've been refunded nothing. The employee who showed up to cook also let me know he does this all the time as a way to save money. This is a terrible company, stay away please. I felt so bad for the employee I helped her cook the remaining food(the new food I purchased out of pocket since his was rancid)for the guest. This man is nothing more than a scammer. Now He doesn't return my calls after telling me he would refund me the money for his mistake.

I contacted this company last-minute for a catering request and they were AMAZING. They told me…read morethey were slammed and super busy, but the owner was so nice and found a way to squeeze me in. I ordered the Bloody Mary breakfast package as a present for my fiance during his bachelor party weekend at a cabin in the Poconos. I was able to arrange the payment in advance so all the guests had to do was wake up and eat. Everyone said it was awesome and delicious. Such a wonderful experience, I highly recommend this company, but please give them more notice than I did!
