I'm not sure if this is the right Denny's but I'm going to leave a review anyways. Stopped by a Denny's in Dickson city, PA on part of my road trip . Our server was Rasheen H, and he was without a doubt, one of the best servers I have ever had at a restaurant. Very friendly, very attentive, and just great hospitality overall . He was one of the few servers working that morning, but he still managed to quickly and efficiently serve all of his tables. He seriously made this one little breakfast stop very memorable . Was in the area so stopped by the Denny's in Dickson City for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Though there were plenty of empty tables, had to wait a bit to be seated. Food wasn't bad. We had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs, the Lumberjack Slam and the All American Slam - all were okay. Our server was friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed and constantly running around. The chicken sandwich I ordered was like rubber. Tasted like crap. Totally inedible. I lost my appetite at that point. I complained to the manager, and thankfully he was honest enough to admit that they went with a new food supplier (most likely cheaper) and that I wasn't the only person who complained. He asked if I wanted anything else and I told him that I lost my appetite, so no thanks. I told him to "Fire the supplier if they want to stay in business ". Simple. Stopped in on while on a road trip for breakfast. We were greeted immediately upon walking in. The hostess, Alicia was also our waitress. She was sweet and made sure we had what we needed. To drink we had hot chocolate and orange juice. The hot chocolate was cold, but Alicia fixed it without a problem. The orange juice was tasty. To eat I had the very berry banana pancakes meal. The pancakes had fresh blueberries and it was topped with strawberries and bananas. The fruit was fresh and sweet. The meal came with two pancakes, eggs, hash browns and bacon. All was tasty. The hash browns were a little greasy, but that is expected. My boyfriend enjoyed his country fried steak and eggs and potatoes. He did say there was a little too much country gravy, but it was easy to push to the side. His eggs were cooked perfectly and he enjoyed the potatoes. They were very nicely seasoned. The bathroom was very clean and so was the restaurant. Service was great. read more

If I could give less then 1 star I would. Food is unhealthy. Salt to them is a major food group. It's not a filler, it's a seasoning! So much salt on food is not good for someone like me with high blood pressure. Utensils, cups, seats were all disgusting. (***Safety note ** HOT WATER IN MENS ROOM EXTREMELY HOT CAPABLE OF SCALDING. Well this Denny's May be on the small side I will have to say I enjoyed my meal and my server was as nice as can be. My only negativity is that there was a young child in a mobile scooter "she was handicapped" and her family of four were told that because of safety issues they couldn't eat here.... my heart hurt so much... I couldn't imagine how that child must've felt to know she was the reason her family couldn't enjoy a meal at a restaurant that supposedly had open doors and open hearts..... something needs to change because I'm sure they could've found a way to include the family and her.... read more

It's Denny's. Not going to try to compare it to a gourmet restaurant because that would be unfair. That said, its not on par with other Denny's I've been to. Food is good, no complaints there, but service is poor. Just seems like the servers hate their jobs and don't want to be there. I'm sure its nobody's lifelong dream to be a server at a Denny's restaurant, but its your job so you should actually try at it. First things first: I've worked at chain restaurants, so I'm probably more lenient than most people. Also, I usually don't review chains because I think most people can judge whether they'll like it based on having been to one anyway. Now, the review... Everything that could have gone wrong did, I think. We waited for a seat in a barely half-full restaurant and there was a help wanted sign for cooks, servers, and dishwashers. We would have left then and there except for the construction that would have made it a fifteen minute trip to go down a few blocks. We had three different servers check on us because it took a while to get everything. Their concern was very nice, but we didn't have a clue who was our actual server. Once we did, we got drinks and appetizers. Let me tell you, I've had some awful coffee and slurped it down black with no problem and what they gave me needed sugar AND cream to be tolerable at all. The appetizer sampler was overly greasy but otherwise just OK. When our meals came, my companion's skillet came without one of the veggie sides and with barely any sauce on the chicken (which was a Bourbon chicken dish, the sauce is half the dish!). At that point I was just happy I got a soy patty and not a meat one, except I literally had 16 fries on my plate. It wasn't even a full plate of food, and the patty was dry and tasteless (and I eat them on the regular, okay, this is dry and tasteless even for soy patties we're talking here). We ran low on refills and our bill had the wrong food on it, so we had to wait to get it sorted. I saw one guy complaining and gesturing at the front, so I assume someone else had a bad time too. We still tipped and left pleasantly because whatever, it's not the end of the world, but...we're never going back. And usually Denny's is a pretty safe bet. The reason I finally decided to write this? After I came home, I threw up for the first time in years. I doubt it was anything serious because it wasn't long enough for food poisoning, but the half-hearted chow they gave us made both of us nauseous the rest of the night. They really do need that staff because they are not at all functioning decently. read more

I actually do like most Denny's I go to and it takes a lot for me to give anyone one star but wow this was not a pleasant experience at all.. We had a very rude waitress from the start so that was at least a money saver as I didn't have to tip. This place was just very unorganized and as another reviewer has stated it wasn't all that busy when we were there and they were rather over staffed for the ammount of people that were in the restaurant. Anyway something tasted really off about my pancakes and I have no idea if it was just old batter or something sour in it but it just did not taste right to me. The eggs were quite alright, but it is really hard to mess up eggs.. I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt and just hope it was an off night for the staff or something but I really just had a very unpleasant experience and I love going to Denny's, but if I'm in the area think I may skip this one. read more

Their food never looks like the photo. :( My husband likes Dennys but I have never been a fan. I ordered the new salmon dish. Nothing special about it. It was very thin and fishy. I ate everything on my plate and went home hungry. My plate had huge empty spots. They need to get smaller plates to make their meals look bigger. My son got a double cheese burger. Now that was a huge burger. My 18 year old daughter got breakfast. She didn't like the eggs. They tasted a little off to me too. Maybe they were powdered? She loved the brown sugar pancakes but whay sugar lover wouldn't. The table behind us ordered first and got their's last. Waitress was very nice and service wasn't too bad. They don't designate areas for big groups which was a shame because we had a group of 30 coming in. read more
