I'm like I don't have time we need to leave. Find out the next time we go in that she told people that I was only down there for a little bit and wasn't happy with the Colour or something and just told her I didn't wanna do it anymore, which is a lie because it took them an hour to cut my husband's hair. He was just finishing coming down to get me and she was just coming down with a color so I made an appointment with Julie who's supposed to be a master stylist which I guess anymore doesn't mean anything. She was so incredibly rude to me. I asked her three times are you sure you're comfortable doing my hair because I don't want anybody who's angry with me or has bad feelings about me touching my hair and you don't seem to like me very much and she kept saying no that's not it. I can tell you the times but I got here and the times that she came down and she's like well. Let's just move on. I was trying to explain to her the colors that I wanted my hair and she kept telling me that I had to pick one just pick one I'm like I don't want one. I want Auburn in there like on the top and I want to feed into a copper and I want blonde highlights. I know it can be done. I've had it my whole life instead the top of my hair is completely bleached. It look like a skunk and I don't think I've ever been more unhappy with a cut. I came home. I cut my own bangs. I told her that showed her the cut that I wanted. She didn't do that at all. Then when she asked if she could curl my hair, she didn't ask how I curl my hair so she put these tiny tight curls in my hair. I don't wear my hair like that and she got upset that I put my hair in a ponytail. Well to me it look like garbage that's not how I wear my hair, I wore my hair into the salon curly to show them how curly my hair is how much like weight my curl has and that if it has to touch my nose wet, it'll touch my eyebrows dry, but there is no communication between her and I at all and then she still sold me product that I don't think I needed. I used number four and I think that's perfectly fine but she doesn't seem to think so. I would appreciate a call from the owner or someone because I think all in all I was treated very poorly. Oh and their prices.. you should be going to a master stylist Downtown! 365 cut+ color total BS when Rumors ran it I usually paid 180 for the same thing and didn't look like I had rad paint all over my neck and forehead my ears were covered. All it takes is a little bit of baby oil and a cotton ball and it comes right off not to mention she ruined a $200 shirt by being messy and not paying attention to what she was doing and it's because she was so aggravated with me for whatever reason I still don't get it. It started out well, I explained what I wanted and showed photos. She was kind, had lots to tell me about her life story, kids, in-laws and whatever else came to mind. The treatment for the hair consult as well as anything to do with touching my hair was where it got rough. She pulled my hair, whapped my in the head with brushes, the hair dryer and curling iron. The shampoo process was so painful with all the hair pulling and her whacking my head. My neck was sore for 2 days after the appointment from where she dug her fingers into me. She started cussing while telling me her stories. It was really kinda frightening and the first time I ever thought about ending a hair appointment early and walking out. When all was said and done, the bronde balyage we agreed on was mostly brown with red highlights. I wanted to cry. That is 2 hours and change and over $300 that I'll never get back.

I chose Swank Salon based on recommendations from friends and family and was excited for my appointment. I rarely spend money on salon services, so this was a special occasion for me, and I was looking forward to having my hair done for several upcoming weddings and events. Unfortunately, I left with orange, uneven, and significantly chemically damaged hair. I arrived with inspiration photos and thoroughly discussed my hair history during the consultation. I had blonde hair for many years and had undergone numerous lightening services in the past without ever experiencing a reaction or damage like this. Despite that history, no test strand was performed prior to applying bleach to my entire head. As my hair was being dried, my stylist told me she was unhappy with how it had processed and asked me to return later so she could fix it. When I saw the result, I was shocked by the condition of my hair. The color was orange and uneven, and my hair had sustained significant damage. My shirt and pants were destroyed with bleach spots. To the salon's credit, Annie at the front desk was kind and helpful and quickly arranged for another stylist to see me. Aaliyah was compassionate and honest about the condition of my hair and did what she could to improve it. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and professional. What ultimately disappointed me most was the way management handled the situation afterward. I was unable to speak directly with a manager and had to communicate through the front desk. The only communication I received from management was through email, where I was repeatedly told that the salon had done nothing wrong and that the damage was simply an adverse reaction to the lightening process. I understand that chemical services carry risks. However, those risks were never discussed with me during my consultation. The salon's position was that this was an unpredictable reaction, yet no test strand was performed and no mention was made of the possibility of severe damage requiring corrective services. The salon did issue a full refund, which I appreciate. I will mention, I've seen no sign of this refund being back in my account. However, a refund does not restore damaged hair. When I later asked whether the salon would be willing to provide any restorative products or treatments to help repair the damage, I was told that any future treatments would be at full cost. I appreciate the kindness of the staff members who tried to help me. Unfortunately, I left with severely damaged hair, no direct conversation with management, and the feeling that my concerns were dismissed rather than truly acknowledged. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Swank Salon for services.

I saw that there was a a ton of options right nearby my hotel and I, almost randomly, picked one off Yelp. Epic Hair Studio is located in this massive building/hub of salons that they call Salon Republic. At first I worried it would be difficult to find your specific salon once you enter, however they make it very easy. There's a receptionist at the front who can walk you or direct you to the correct room. Or, like in my case, your hair stylist will be waiting at the front for you. I am so happy I went with Epic Hair Studio because Christen is amazing! She was kind enough to work with me on my early morning time request and my hair ending up looking great! I just wanted a few inches off and a better shape to my bangs. It has been about a month and I'm loving how she made my bangs look! Also, she's also such a sweetheart. I was feeling a bit stressed that morning with my rush to get ready for the wedding, but once I got chatting with Christen I was feeling at ease in no time. I genuinely wish Christen could be my regular hair stylist because I know I'd be able to trust her with all my hair needs.
